Just tried Gandalf for the first time- a bigger disappointment than PB. Tastes like stale burnt rice cakes to me. As someone who smoked real cavendish in a real tobacco pipe for years this venture is becoming quite saddening to me. Now, I've had worse juices than these HHV tobaccos, and will probably work them in as alternatives to my prefered sweet vapes. Maybe 40 years of tobacco just fried my tastebuds to the point where I can't truly appreciate these juices, 'cause I know from other flavors HHV does outstanding work. Thanks for the help from those along this thread, at least y'all pointed me in the right direction, but I'm begining to think this just might not be my 'cup of tea', so to speak.

I think I might have raised a few eyebrows with that post, please allow me a moment to ammend that statement. I started Gandalf, like all juices new to me, at lower valtage. In this case I was using an eGo Twist with a T3 clearo with the twist turned down to it's lowest setting. Since then I've played with the twist settings, and I've found that by setting the voltage near 4.6 I definatly get a much better flavor from Gandalf. I can now taste the tobacco, maybe an ever-so-slight sweet undertone (Cherry/ Vanilla ?) and it is without a doubt preforming MUCH BETTER at higher voltage. I'm still new to all this, but I don't know if I've ever had a juice change THIS much with voltage changes. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed a considerable difference in Gandalf or any other tobacco juices simply by adjusting your voltage ?

Papa, you're fine! Never had that experience, but steeping has made a mockery out of some of my posts.

Gandalf tastes much better with more heat (in my experience). And it's a juice that can take some heat. I vape most of my juices between 6-7 watts, but Gandalf at 8+ watts. It isn't just you.

That has been on my list of things to do. I'm not a big fan of Gandy (though it isn't bad) so maybe laying some heat to it will make it one I can put in the rotation (albeit in the "occassional" category). That would be nice as I still have an unopened bottle of it from September. :)

Until they come out with a VHPJ, I am fine with VV. VHPJ=Variable Heat Per Juice (LOL)

Shadowfax- Now THIS is more like it ! Started @ 4.0 on my Twist and worked up from there. I could really get used to this ! At about 6V or so this is something I could not only put in the rotation but keep there. True mild cavendish flavor with a hint of vanilla on the draw, and smooth tobacco flavor on the exhale. If this is what natural tobacco vapes are supposed to be then I can start to understand the number of people who swear by them ! :vapor:

Vaped HHV Caramel Apple Tobacco early this evening and am just now trying GeJ Apple Cured Tobacco. CAT is softer, less harsh? but both have a strong apple taste and ACT has more of a tobacco taste/feel. I think it is that my CAT is 100% VG and ACT is 50/50. Both are good though. I think I like the ACT better. Oh and both are well steeped.

Yesterday I drip taste tested the 4 new extracted tobaccos from another vendor and none were winners. I can't imagine how any device could hold up to the particulates in these juices (large enough pieces to actually see) and they were really heavily clouded. I think the vendor needs to work on their mix/processes a bit further. All 4 had the same base tobacco flavor/feel and then were flavored differently. Glad I got to try someone elses samples.

Bappo, I happen to like HHV's apple better than GeJs. The Apple Cured has a cinnamony taste like apple pie, but it doesn't suit my palate. CAT is a bit sweeter with no cinnamon.

Please tell me that your four failures weren't Virgin Vapor...? I spent a lot of money on those!

Yesterday I vaped a tank of HHV Georgia Peach Tobacco. On paper, this sounded fantastic for me as I love peach and tobacco juices. In practice, this is the first HHV juice I didn't like. It has been steeping since late October, so it should be good and ready, but it felt like the peach (excellent peach flavor, btw) clashed with the tobacco. I suppose they can't all be winners, but after enjoying Gandalf, Gollum, and Shadowfax, I was disappointed by Georgia Peach Tobacco.

Scarf, yes they were the VV NETs. I am thinking Heathers has spoiled us! This test was straight out of the mail so we will see what happens post alcohol evaporation and steeping.

I do not have high hopes. :(

Damn! That thing looks like bile. Never seen juice like that one.

Look, I am not trying to call any juice maker out, but DAMN! I just got an NET from Scarf-ace that was bangin', and here this juice vendor is -- one that I've admittedly never ordered from -- calling this okay? Who in here that vapes NETs a little, some, a lot, or 100% of the time has ever seen a mess like that? I think some in here have bought some of this, or at least this vendors so-called "natural" tobacco juice, but in my humble opinion, that is the antithesis of EVERY other vendor that we speak of in here. I dare any of you to find any vendor, whether you like them or not, that sells NETs that would produce a liquid like that and actually be okay with it. I am a bit ...... right now cause all I can gather from that picture -- granted, it's just one picture, but the maker seemed fine with it -- is that more and more people are wanting in on the action i.e. $$, and maybe, just maybe, they should leave it to those that know what they're doing. Hey Scarf, maybe you could start a consulting business cause your juice was not only worth money, you clearly possess some knowledge that pre-existing businesses could benefit from!

Sorry all, I have just never seen anything like that being sold as eliquid!!!

I own a sample of that stuff that I ordered during the Black Friday sale. I hadn't looked at it until this afternoon, and much to my shock, and horror, it had the exact same appearance as the image in the link Mann provided. The question I ask is why does no other NET I've come across look like this? Everything I've vaped ranges from honey to dark brown. Not cloudy urine color (sorry to be crass, but that's what it looks like), or chicken stock. I can't imagine this not being an atty murderer, and the appearance is so revolting that I'm not even sure I'm brave enough to try it. I'll stick to Scarf-Ace's Eau de Monte Cristo, thanks!
