so are their juices more towards the cigar side ? also please tell me they are nothing like halo juices. i seriously will cry if i try another tobacco flavour that tastes like moldy socks and an odd mix of nuts

Halo is nothing like them! ;) More toward the cigar side? Yes and no. It's hard to explain really, but vaping actual tobacco juice is not like smoking, but it is akin to the overall tobacco experiences you've had with smoking. Does that make sense? Getting a juice to taste just like a cigar is much easier than a cigarette -- actually, a cigarette experience is almost impossible. Hopefully you will find some type of connection with the smell and taste that should spark a connection. You may want to try GoodeJuice Wrangler Light, also.

12mg, Mr Mann

Did you get sample sizes or larger bottles? I ask because GeJ nic doesn't seem very strong to me, but if you only got sample sizes and actually like the taste, but feel the juice is a little weak, you could reorder the same size with a higher nic and mix the two until you hit you desired level. Who knows, there is a good chance that you will love it as is. I am just tossing out some ideas.

I appreciate the heads up, Mr Mann. I just got the sample sizes. I've not really ever vaped high mg, started out at 12, was down to 6 until last week when I fell off the wagon, order 12 this time to get back off cigarettes with the intention of goin down to 6 on my next order if I like it. End goal is 0mg then quitting everything.

Oh, you are like I used to be. I relapsed off of vaping, so now I keep it around, though I have and can go without vaping...for a while at least. ;)

I just vaped about 2ml of MOV's Pendragon, and I have to say I agree completely with Scarf's assessment. It's not a bad juice in the sense that it's not disgusting or nasty, but the flavor is SUPER weak. It does have a strong TH and it's very carto friendly, but I find it as disappointing as MOV's non-net tobaccos. :(

I don't think we should hang Luce, as IMHO that would be too severe. I'm thinking fifty lashes or castration would be a more appropriate punishment. :D

I'm glad I'm not alone in this one. I was very apprehensive to share my thoughts about this juice after the glowing reviews from Luce. I also find it hard to believe that the flavors are infused in the tobacco, they really seem like more of an afterthought to me.

This is a shrewd point. Taste is subjective, in the sense that the experience depends on the person's personal sensation, their prior experience, and their own inclinations. But that doesn't mean that taste is completely relative.

For example, smell is also subjective, but there are some smells that pretty much everyone recognizes as an indication that you need to call the health department. We have categories of flavor (e.g., RY4 in vaping, nut brown ale or IPA in beer, chocolate in cake), because there actually are reliable categories of subjective experience, albeit in a fairly general way that breaks down when it attempts to reach a level of too much granularity.

OK I'm going to put my flame ......ant suit on, because I think that the statement "TASTE IS SUBJECTIVE" is a crock:ohmy:

TASTES, on the other hand, as in our own personal likes and dislikes, are totally subjective. On another thread we were discussing Vegemite, that infamous Australian salty axle grease masquerading as a nutritious breakfast food  Mr Scarf-ace, Australian born and bred, loves it to bits. I think it is nauseating. We like and we dislike.

What is NOT subjective though, is eating a piece of toast with Vegemite and saying, "Oh, that tastes like orange marmalade".
Because it does not. It cannot.

No argument here. That's what I was getting at by referring to "reliable categories of subjective experience." Chocolate cake doesn't taste like orange marmalade either.

I figured that's what you meant, I just didn't phrase my reply properly. Sorry. It's been a trying day :)

From Milton Sherman's Book All About Tobacco:

....
Cavendish Manufactured in the United Kingdom
The English manufacture their Cavendish only with a heavier grade of Flue-Cured Virginia tobacco. The tobacco is placed in molds and subjected to heavy pressure for three to four days. The pressure exerted on the processed tobacco causes the natural oils to rise, and because of the heavy natural sugar content of the Virginia leaf, the tobacco develops a sweet taste. Most of the Cavendish produced in Great Britain is then cut and incorporated into a blend.
....

This English Cavendish sounds like it would be very tasty, not the usual candied ditchweed at all. Is there a NET of this natural style of English Cavendish?

So I tried Poker Blend last night.

In his review Thucydides used the word "leather" several times, and I wasn't sure what that meant. Now I understand. Well oiled leather too.

It took a while, but I think I get the "well oiled" reference.

I've been hitting the VR K-Max this morning and it has a light almost fuel oil like taste that I totally recognize...dark Burley, like Gambler RYO.

So, not fine tobacco, and not really a favorite, but authentic and familliar enough to seem kind of cigarette-like enough to keep me puffin' on it for now.:D

Well, I have her on ignore. Was that quote aimed at me? That's pretty odd considering I've never recommended a Provari in my life.

And if that WAS aimed at me "hmm says the guy who started the thread that everyone needed to own a provari", it's easy enugh to check my profile for threads started to see that I've never started any such thread. I've only started 4 or 5 threads in my entire time here, and all but one of those was in the last 24 hours in the new HHV subforum, and none of them were about a Provari.
