Thanks !
Im on GeJ site now. Which of their Housebrewed line is supossed to be the most like strait tobacco ? I would like to order a sample of strait tobacco, because I have never tried it befor. I have tried various "Pipe" and "cigar" types, but no strait tobacco. I am not even sure if it will appeal to me, but Id like to try.

Thanks again.

Maybe Organic #1 or Acadian Gold to get you started (for straight tobacco)... You could also give Wrangler a shot. Apple Cured, Vita Bella and GJ4 are flavored but get a lot of support as well, and might be a smooth transition.

Acadian Gold, Wild Turkey, Patriot, Organic #1, Natural Perique are straight up tobacco, and all pretty mild.

Vita Bella, GJ4, and Apple Cured have added flavorings (not knocking them for this, they're my favorite GeJs). I think Wrangler Lite has added flavorings too.

Fire Cured is a straight tobacco, but it's going to be in your face more than the others.

All over the place
I will probably get laughed out for saying this... But BackWoods Brew has always seemed to me like something that could work for people that like HHV. They use an extracted base, and also make hybrids with other flavors. It is not a strong recommendation, like the ones GT mentioned, but if you got extra cash around might be worth trying out. I still like their Applewood Tobacco flavor every once and a while... Most of their stuff is a little sweet and not in your face on the tobacco, at least to me.

Just a curveball out of left field :)

It makes sense to me.

There was a time when any mention of tobacco would automatically illicit, within a post or two, a recommendation of BWB. I can remember getting so exhausted with seeing BWB mentioned anytime anyone wanted a tobacco, I started realizing that surely there must be more, and even mo' better! Well, I was right. However, they should still be on the master list of vendors to try.

A word of advice about Vita Bella. If you don't like it out of the mailbox, do not give up on it. Put it away for a good long while and then come back to it.

That is a good range to start with... Acadian is the lightest and sweetest, Vita has some vanilla flavoring in it, and Patriot is the strongest of the bunch (It will be quite a change from what you have been vaping). I am glad you kept Wild Turkey, Perique and Fire Cured off the list for now, but don't forget them in the future.

Wow. I already have a tracking number. That was fast !

They do a good job at being quick getting out orders. Hope you enjoy them, GeJ is one of my favorites for NETs. It's a simple extraction process used but the guy does a great job using quality tobacco blends (he works with a tobacconist on procuring the tobacco and making the blends) and when flavor is used it's to accent the tobacco instead of overpowering it. I have a lot of respect for the end product Nick provides.

It may take a bit for proper steeping and becoming acquired to the flavor but what I've seen is that for people that these work for, they REALLY work for.

Totally agree, but I also think it has gone past the point of no return... To go through this whole thread and extract all of the reviews (formal or informal) would be a monumental task. The best solution so far is for people to describe what they are looking for, and then recommendations will come forth. The tighter the description, the smaller the list will be, hehe. I think Thucydides asked a little while back for some recommendations and he got a short list of some possible options to try. Things like juices you have tried and liked, as well as descriptions of what you like, for instance sweet vs. cigar or flavored vs. unflavored, etc... Are great starting points.

Fair enough. I am looking for a pipe tobacco that has a wonderful, pipe smell/flavor. I bought some Perique from GeJ and really liked it. It had a nice sweet taste on the exhale and has me really excited to try other rich pipe tobaccos.

I have tried a carolina tobacco from MyFreedomSmokes and it was completely unvapeable. I threw out the cartomizer I used, because nothing could get rid of the ashtray taste.

I haven't tried any other vendors for pipe NETs because I got lost somewhere around post 2000 and just can't keep up. (Sorry :( ). I bought the Perique as a random purchase along with some other GeJ flavors I like to have around ( NET Menthol eJuice, Emerald Square Menthol). I should have bought the big bottle because it's something I really like.

When I think of a pipe tobacco I would like, it would be rich, slightly sweet and have a pretty good taste. The GeJ perique may be a little lightish on flavor... but it's very good. I do 15-20 minute sessions with my HH.357 and the Perique when I tire of sweeter, flavors.

So any reviews or recommendations for something that would be pipe-like and nicely filtered like GeJ would be very much appreciated.

Ahlusion makes my favorite pipe-like blends in the Aromatic line. Not as clean as GeJ, but still pretty good for a NET. The aro line has some very strong, in your face tobaccos alongside milder (but still strong) flavored ones. The non-aromatic line is also great for milder blends and are overall cleaner. HHV is beloved by many for their very unique pipe blends.

Not as clean as GeJ?? How do you mean? I'm not sure clean is the adjective you are looking for.

When he said nicely filtered I assumed he meant clean as far as gunking things up. In my atties the aros gunk up the coil quicker than GeJ, though not as bad as many other NETs. He also mentioned using a carto, when I tried BGB in a carto it was garbage after one refill. The aros are clean compared to say W2V, but less than GeJ.
