Not really, Jerms. Oh, I suppose there might be a connection, but whatever the irritant is doesn't translate for me as caused directly by TH. It's more a mystery overload, not easily attributed to any particular quality of the juice. Maybe I'm allergic to one of the flavorings.

I normally vape either 18mg or 24mg and almost never experience any lung reactions---only rarely with specific juices, SC being one.

I see. So something that causes a tickling in the throat or some other reaction resulting in a cough rather than being overwhelmed with TH. I wonder if it is a slight allergic reaction, I've never experienced it myself from any juices.

No, not a throat tickle. As far as I can tell, in my case it's not a throat thing at all. Lungs entirely, but not anything like the lung soreness from smoking too many cigs. And not enough to register on the pain/discomfort scale, just a neutral mystery reaction. Yes, an allergy to something in the juice would be my best guess also.

Now I gotchya, I think. Like just a dry cough that seems to be related to certain juices.

Exactly how I react. It doesn't stop me though, it's a very addictive juice, and it's helping me knock down the cigarettes by another 3 a day, so I'll take it. :)

Hacking cough never stopped me from smoking cigs, almost sounds like a selling point for a juice. "Smoker's cough may be included with purchase of juice, for the authentic smoker experience." :D

I spent the entire week on a camping trip, and smoked my pipe twice a day almost every day. After doing this, I have come to accept that no e-juice, no matter what it's extracted from, will ever taste like real pipe tobacco lit in a pipe. Or a cigar, for that matter. It just cannot. First I was sad. Then I thought, "well, what if they just taste good in their own way? Why do they have to be EXACTLY like something they're not?"

And when I thought that, it became more tolerable. This process is ALL about taste to me and absolutely NOT about nicotine. Most people who start on e-cigs are looking for something that A) gives them a good nic hit and B) tastes kinda good. All I care about is a taste and aroma that replicates the sensation of real smoking, because that's what I'm in love with, and that's what I need to do less of.

So, I came home, tried another tobacco e-juice, and here's what I found:

Vendor: Vixen Vapors
Liquid: Hazelnut Tobacco
Thoughts:
I had to really sit with this one for a while to understand it (partly because my tongue was burnt out from smoking all week). The tobacco is less "present" than it is in the other juices I've tried so far, but that actually makes it feel much more balanced. Of the tobacco juices I've tried, they all have been tasting like the manufacturer is just trying too hard to replicate the real thing, and missing the mark (some barely, some by a lot). But since this has the hazelnut overtones, it actually complements the tobacco flavors underneath and makes them feel a little more real. The only complaint I have is about the room note. It reminds me very much of V2's Sahara. Which isn't bad, but it just smells kind of... cheap.

The thing I really appreciate about this juice is that I don't get that heavy meat taste that comes with all the juices that have Latakia in them. It seems like the Latakia completely overpowers everything else, every time. It's all I can remember when I'm done vaping it. This doesn't have that. The aftertaste isn't entirely 'great', but it's not burned meat.

I agree fully with Nick Fantastic. MOV has some very unique flavorings.

MxChino, I grew up in Mansfield and go back all the time to see my family. Small world....

Good on you for getting out! I have to drive to columbus or cleveland for any kind of fun :/

MC, judging from your last sentence, I have a feeling that you're going to dig what MOV has to offer in their Gold Label line of NET's. Sunday Morning, Southern Gentlemen, Pendragon, etc.

Cheers :toast: and welcome to the t'read!

You were more than right. I just received 3 15ml samples of Sunday Morning, RY4 and Southern Gentleman. I sampled SM and RY4 and this is exactly what I was looking for. Sunday Morning is just downright delicious with the coffee/tobacco mix being just about perfect. I wasn't too thrilled with their non tobacco juices I ordered a few weeks ago, but the Gold Label NET's are really, really good.

Calam, if you would like a pipe tobacco with a little Latakia, not a lot, you might want to try Southern Gentleman. It also contains some Perique and an Amaretto (Black Cavendish and Virginia) making it fairly complex but not "in your face". I liked it when I first got it but didn't really appreciate it until I took it to work for an all day vape. Flavorful enough to be interesting but balanced and mild enough to vape all day.

PS- No meat to my taste!

Went to the tobacco store to get a torch lighter for RBA use a maybe a couple cigars. Felt like a kid in a candy store, spent way more than I planned lol. Got 3 Drew Estate ACIDs, Blondie, Kuba Kuba, and Cold Infusion. Looking forward to comparing them to the W2V counterparts when I receive those. Picked up a coffee-infused from Drew Estate that smells amazing. And a Romeo y Julieta 1875. Finally, a pack of Nat Sherman, just cause I've been wanting try them.

Where do you live, when do you go to bed and is there a drainpipe near the window of the room that you keep your stash in?

Wow, 45 minutes in and the coffee-infuse Tabak Especial is only burned about half-way down. I didn't realize large cigars last so long, makes the $11 for this one a little easier to swallow. So far, it's been fantastic. Notes of coffee and chocolate with a smooth tobacco. Would make a tasty eliquid. Vaping's my hobby, don't need to add cigars to that, but can definately see picking up a good one once in a blue moon.

That's one down that you won't be snatching Hula, tick-tock tick-tock.

Back to Smooth Criminal.  I realize that I return again and again to this subject but only because it's quite possibly the most enigmatic juice I've ever vaped.
For the record, I'm truly digging it tonight in my RBA as I have a couple times in a disposable atty lately as well as a time or two in a Stardust months ago. Tonight, the taste of the vape (and the drop that I just licked off my finger) is delightfully unique and the aroma is outstanding. Last night it just didn't work for me in either atty and just now I'm starting to regret that I just filled the well again. Weird!

Glad you really gave SC a chance Nomo. It really sneaked up on me, I liked SC right away but after a bit I loved it and turned to it often. The older it gets the more complex the tobacco gets too.

Cool that you got the RBA figured out quickly. My new ones didn't come in today, but I did get in some wire and some cotton candle wick I added on a whim. Not a fan, flavor seems pretty muted and can definately taste the cotton. Have some braided silica that should be delivered tomorrow or Monday.

I could probably count the cigars I've smoked on one hand, If I could remember.
I've been thinking about trying to duplicate Scarf's successful recipes with a pipe tobacco. That cigar sounds very interesting! Looking forward to hearing about the others.
