Flavor's a funny thing. If HHV released what tobacco is used and it turned out my impression of a cherry Cavendish was completely wrong, something random like an Oriental tobacco sprayed with fermented goat milk, I wouldn't be too shocked. Somehow AVE combined artibacco and cola and made graham cracker. Somehow combining blue and yellow makes green, I accept that more than really understand it.

Basically saying the "why" is a mystery to me, and fun to discuss, but in the end the truly important thing is the result. Legend to my brain tastes like a really good cherry Cavendish, I like cherry Cavendish, I like Legend.

Original Gandalf, (aka#1) as you would order it now, just has less extract than the current standard version. You get more of the PG/VG experience, and it's a tad less abusive on the taste buds. Essentially it's just Gandalf Lite. I prefer the lite, but don't vape either anymore. People started ordering "#1" to see what the original original summer 2012 version was like, which as Adam claims, just had less extract than the standard version sold now.

Original Gandalf that you can get now is less fruity, more creamy, has a bit of a candy like finish. I prefer it over plain Gandalf too. Original Gandalf from last Spring I never had. Some that did say it's not the same now, others say it's pretty close. Nick's explanation of the differences is accurate. There was also an August/September 2012 Gandalf that was completely different from both (sold as Serendipity now). Personally, the August/September Gandalf was, to me, much better than the Serendipity you can buy now.

One of the downsides to NETs is that it's sometimes difficult to replicate them from batch to batch.

First impressions: Alcazar from W2V

Alcazar is a maduro cigar. I've never had one or any maduro, but since this juice is made by W2V it probably matches the cigar pretty well. After the extemely unique CI and Blond, this one disappoints at first because it plays like a regular cigar vape. However, there is things I'm liking about it.

It's definately cigar, but milder than I thought W2V went with their premium tobaccos. Being kind of a basic cigar vape flavor, it's a little dull compared to the HoL cigar vapes I have. Nothing unpleasant about it though, kind of a nice change from the sweet and fruit tobacco vapes from the last few days. Alcazar has a few positives that I also like in My Hero; it's flavor is rich and smooth, and it just plays the bass notes without any high notes.

So overall it's good. I might warm up to it more later, as My Hero really grew on me. There's five ml left for it to impress me enough to want a bigger bottle. Probably won't happen, but no regrets picking it up.

Hey guys, wanted to greet you all from "your side of the fence", so to speak. I think I am officially hooked on NETs.

Still working on the Vita Bella, finally on my Natural + Terminator-C (32AWG Kanthal, 3 tight loops over 2 2mm silica = the next best thing to pure dripping). This is one smooth vape. There's no mistake it is tobacco, and maybe because it is a fresh bottle (heat-steeped 5 times), the aromas are fairly ephemeral in nature. The tobacco base remains, but the notes come and go; I get the tones of vanilla here and there, a little cinnamon every few puffs, a whiff of freshly baked bread, and always the undertone of a well-cured funk. Yet even though I can't always catch distinct flavors, the ones that flit here and there keep me coming!

Hey Abe. You got me craving some VB. Most people seem to get vanilla, but it played different for me. Never did figure out what my brain was interpeting it as, which was part of the fun for me.

I'm sure you'll like most from the home-brewed line. Wrangler Light impresses me with a slightly funky tobacco with very subtle chocolate notes. GJ4 is a great NET RY4, a little heavier on the caramel and vanilla but the tobacco shows more as it ages.

Thanks Jerms, I'll definitely get around to checking them out.

Maybe because it was my first tobacco vape, or maybe because it's just that good, I've been craving that Highbrow Perique again. Maybe it's the fact that it's a flavor explosion, or that the flavors have just the right combo of treble and bass (heavy on the bass), I can't help but think about this flavor! I hope the Natural Perique can hold me off until my order gets to me my Highbrowbacco back! Until then, I will keep steeping, remain patient, and hunt down why I keep coming back to the Vita Bella. It's a damn fine vape.

I'm waiting for a couple 18350s to arrive so I can stack and run high watts through my 30g kanthal, which combined with the braided silica made an amazing vape for me. Meanwhile the last couple days I've been experimenting a little.

First was 32g nichrome 60, which has lower ohm per inch than 32g kanthal, on braided silica. Performed almost as well as the same with 30g kanthal, and was easier to run at normal watt range. Today tried same nichrome on some 2mm twisted silica. The taste dropped a lot, PenD and Legend a lot more plain. Finally did a 12+ wrap with nichrome on the 2mm silica at 2.8 ohm, same thing kind of bland.

All this has me wondering, was the switch of silica brand the bigger cause of improved vape than the change of wire gauge? I'm not really sure, I just want to recreate the vape I was getting with the 1.1 ohm, 30g, braided wick that killed an eGo. Once my new batteries arrive I will be able to create about the same set-up, but with a 1.2+ ohm coil so it works on my VAMO. If it isn't the holy grail that I experienced for a couple days, some other variable is going on, and I'll be chasing a possibly mythical holy grail of JDS yet again.

Nick, look forward to seeing if the braided wick makes any noticable changes for you. I liked it for it's durability, but it also may be better for flavor.

ECF20OFF for 20% off the already ridiculously cheap NET's at Cravin' Vapes for those who have yet to try them, but are interested.

https://cravinvapes.com/

thx. $12 including shipping for a 30mL sample pack (the tobacco-dessert sampler with 5 6mL samples) is a good deal.

edit: oh, and it looks like they include a free 6mL of kiwi strawberry with all orders over $10. Sadly, before shipping, I was actually under $10. So I may not get the sample unless they include shipping in the total. Oh well, if they are good I will order more and get the free sample next time.

Holy crap that is cheap! I only have $9 and some change in my checking account, but $2.40 per 6ml is a steal. I will get BOMB and the Maple tobacco tomorrow unless someone suggests a different tobacco of theirs. I may be able to sneak in a third depending on the exact amount in my account and the price of shipping.

Shipping was $2.57 to Ohio. Not sure how it varies, but their shipping was cheap too.

Yeah shipping was the same. I put in an order because I know tomorrow I would realize I have I have enough juice and change my mind. Sometimes I have to make decisions while tired so my wiser well-rested brain doesn't get in the way.

Ended up going for Maple Spirit Tobacco and Organic Vanilla pipe, 50/50 at 16mg (they have a lot of choices for nic). Thanks Nick and McG! (tomorrow that thanks can be read sarcastically, but tonight I'm happy :D )

Has anyone tried them. (Cravinvapes) How are they? I am thinking of placing an order but even 2.50 for 6ml is a lot if you won't vape it. Just want to make sure some of you have tried it. I find all I am vaping these days are NET's. just got my first order from HHv and really like it. I think I liked every juice I got so far but especially like the legend. I also have some juices coming from Want 2 Vape. Paris, Blonde and one other I cannot remember at he moment and of course still loving my The Plume Room juices.

Karla, a few of us have tried them. Noone has been blown away, but no one vomited either. I had a brief love affair with BOMB (Blue Organic Mild). I really enjoyed the Agave as the added flavoring. I also enjoyed Organic Vanilla Pipe for a bit as well. I got a free sample of Caramel Tobacco, but that isn't really my thing, so I won't opine.

After getting half way through my 10ml bottles, I started to find that their tobacco extractions seemed a little underdeveloped, lacking a certain complexity. But that was also due to the types of tobacco used - cigarette, cavendish. If you like HHV and TPR, you may enjoy these for a bit, if any of the added flavorings appeal to you. They're definitely vapable, just weren't reorder-able for me. It's been a good two months since I've vaped them I think. I will dig em out and give them another run this week to see where they stand.
