Jerms,

While I am personally not a fan of Highbrow's tobaccos, I want to give a shout-out for Highbrow's non-tobacco juices, especially Cheesecake Torte and Limoncello.

Most cheesecake eliquids get it wrong. Too often, the cheese flavor is overplayed and ends up tasting like nauseating sour curds. Highbrow takes a different route. Rather than being cheesy, per se, HB Cheesecake Torte substitutes a creamy, light, and fluffy dairy-cream quality, almost like a chiffon. Imagine Jello No-Bake cheesecake miraculously transformed from an ersatz, low-quality, bottom-of-the-barrel American fast food into a wonderful gourmet dessert. That's Cheesecake Torte.

Limoncello is lemonade as the Europeans make it---an Italian lemon liqueur served chilled as an after-dinner digestivo (yes, Wikipedia is my friend...). Not too tart, not too sweet. Just delicious. Add a splash of Orange de Sangre, and you get an amazingly tasty sweet lemonade made with Meyer lemons rather than the sour-tart Eureka lemons commonly found in American grocery stores.

Get out your wallet.

If anyone is interested in cheesecake, might be time to revive this thread I started ages ago.

I'll give both those a Bill Bump on my list of nonbaccos to try, sounds Highbrow knows what they're doing with those flavor.

I've only had a couple cheesecake flavors, one from Madvapes way back that was terrible even for their standards, and a berry cheesecake from AiV that I have now that's not bad, but not too exiting either. It has a little bit of the heavy cream cheese flavor that I didn't like about the Madvapes one, but more subtle at least. I like the idea that Highbrow avoids that rich, real cheesecake flavor. As good as real cheesecake tastes, it relies so much on texture that can't transfer to vaping and just doesn't work for me.

I'll have to save a couple ml of the Orange de Sangre too to mix with the Limoncello, that sounds amazingly good. Thanks for the tip.

I have berry Little Cheesecake from AiV also. To me the name is like a play on words, from what I can taste theres, Barely Little Cheesecake flavor lol. It's like a stronger version of TwasB, with perhaps a hint of Cupcake City. It's not Ravyn, but It's not my favorite AiV. I haven't had much luck finding a good Cheesecake juice. I may try the ones billherbst recommended...

Finished up my 3ml gift of Patriot and it's more than lived up to the hype for me. Just based on the two sessions I had with it, I think it's my favorite of the house-brewed line. Next order with GeJ will include this and VB for a face-off

Everything feels right about this pipe blend; a little smoky,a little sweet, touch of funk, and a pinch of spice. The hint of sweetness is kind of creamy and adds a lot to the overall profile. It's not an intense tobacco but it's a couple steps up from the more subtle in the line. About a medium tobacco impact, maybe a little to the right of that. Pretty complex, two sessions was only enough to barely crack the surface of the flavors. Like many have already said, highly recommended.

Yeah, I read you, Jerms! I don't think Patriot is intense per se, but it is very much lively as hell!

This is interesting. I got my first order from GeJ, a couple weeks ago, Patriot, Bella Vita, Natural Perique and GJ4 (I requested a small sample of Acadian Gold, but no luck.) I could discern no scent, to speak of, the day they arrived and they tasted watery to me. Three or four days later, I could tell one, from another, by sent, but just barely. Although one developed the dreaded Cat Pee Oder, that has mellowed some now, and is oddly, growing on me.(I think that one is NP, guessing because all markings on the labels rubbed off completely). At present, these have grown more flavorful, and darkened. With Bella Being quite dark now.

Bella Vita surprised me, it had the least flavor, but now it had become a rich, almost velvety vanilla tobacco. I love mixing it with a few drops of MOV Coffee and Cream, just outstanding. MOV NET's have stronger flavor, but are less vapable imo, in that I need to drip more juice, more frequently on the attie, and still get dry hits more often. MOV works very well in Clearo/Tank set ups. GeJ seems to lubricate atties better, and thus more conducive to dripping. The two NET lines mix extremely well imo

I was surprised at how much these NETs improved overtime. I was under the impression, that NETs are pre-steeped, for the most part?

Patriot is the best of the bunch so far. Still milder than I expected though... I am currently looking into House Of Liquid and I wonder if their NETs will be bolder in flavor? They sound fantastic!

And yet, they will still get better (ask Bronze! LOL) Really, the only juices that will not need to steep (for the most part) are synthetic, huge vat-batches with no customizations, aside from nic, available. Bounty Hunter anyone? Even still, most juices, no matter the ingredients, require some steeping; some juices require a lot.

Glad you are enjoying your GeJ Pardon. They truly are quality smoke juices. Funny how we all have a different take on them. VB was head dynamite when I first tried it. But it transformed into that velvety tobacco as you describe. The vanilla had a stretch where it was too dominate. But even that tamed with time. Took several months but it got there. I really enjoy Patriot, Apple Cured, and Natural Perique as well but Vita Bella is very special. Still have a few more to sample but for now I'm enjoying my lean stock status (sending two sample care packages to friends that have wiped out 35 bottles of surplus and unwanteds from my stock pile). Hope for continued success for you Pardon. Patience with GeJ most definitely pays dividends.

Just placed an order with QnJ yesterday to restock my Grandpa's Night Cap and thought I'd try some Proudest Monkey. It's made from a Flue-Cured extract. I haven't had much success with previous banana vapes but I liked the Flue-Cured base idea and it might go well with the banana. I believe it will all depend on the level of banana incorporated in the juice. Too much and I think it will be overly rich. We'll see.

QnJ remains a mystery to me. Their official thread is basically dead after it was once a vibrant place. You don't hear much about them in the ECF community. They still have not sent my shipping notice. Compared to GeJ's 18-minute turnaround, it would seem QnJ remains busy. I believe they target the reseller market so perhaps that is their marketing forte. I'm just happy I can experience their quality smoke juice direct.

Good to know. Thank you for your input. I've had quite a few juices that age terribly. Some of them completely unusable in a months time, and some that seem to just keep improving. Maybe I won't vape up all my GeJ this week... see what happens. ;)

Like Bronze said, we all seem to vary in our experience with GeJ, whether we like them fresh or well aged. I really liked GJ4 fresh, though with age I liked it equally but differently since it changed a LOT, like most of these do. Technically yes, these are pre-steeped, literally since maceration means the tobacco is steeped in pg like making a tobacco tea over a long period. Recently Nick from GeJ made a post on his forum that the tobacco in GJ4 takes months before it's ready to mix. That's just the extract that's pre-steeped, once the flavor is mixed into a juice the regular "steeping" or aging process we do at home comes in to play. Most NETs seem to really benifit from age.

I wouldn't call HoL NETs bolder in flavor, though that kind of depends on the person. They are different from GeJ, offering more cigar NETs at HoL rather than the pipe tobacco NETs of GeJ. I really like a couple from HoL and they're all well made, but not my personal favorites. Definately worth a try if you don't mind the price.

Btw, next time put some scotch tape over the GeJ labels, they disappear quick if you don't! You can send me the bottles and I will figure out which is which and write it down for you, and then send you back the empty bottles when I'm done :D

I had no luck with Proudest Monkey; as a matter of fact, it was the one that I actually disliked. Now, I never re-tried it after the first vape, so steep on, brutha, steep on!

While I do like HoL, I am fine with the American made juices! If, by chance I lived near HoL, I would definitely buy it frequently, but I would also still buy GeJ! See what I did there? LOL

The thing, I think, with HoL is that while they do make great juices, they don't have, what I consider, a whole lot of character. Take HHV for example, no matter where they exist on my list, if judging based on character, HHV would make HoL seem dry.

Thanks,I was wishing I had just sharpied over the pen, but I like the tape idea better!
Why don't I just post up a picture, perhaps you could ID them by color and save some postage? :p

It's actually easy to go by taste. VB tastes like love, Patriot tastes like harmony, GJ4 tastes like whimsy, and NP tastes like hippy. :p

Thanks for this. I am definitely not a big fan of dry. I keep wavering on trying HHV as I have heard more than one person, remark on a chocolatey, or (worse!) "Tootsie roll" note in all of these? Still I may have a go with Dark Horse, and Legend just to see for myself.

And yes. I saw what you did there lol.
