It isn't just NETs that vendors use the same base with different juices. I've run across a bunch. Heck, I'm convinced Boba's Bounty and Gorilla juice are the same base. I think the high popularity of vendors that don't do that, an Ahlusion or an HHV for instance, is because while you might not like all their juices, there's a better chance you'll like at least some of them, because they aren't all the same. I liked VR okay, but had I not liked one of them, I wouldn't have liked any of them.

Yeah, Boba's and Gorilla juice are not only the same base, I think they are the same juice but with the addition an added ingredient.

Lol, the only list those deserve to be on is "NETs" that should be avoided at all costs, with Catskill being a vendor as a whole to stay far away from.

I think Alice in Vapeland shouldn't be on the list. They have had a few NETs released but not a single tobacco of any kind is on their regular menu.

I got no qualms with that.

I am going to look further into Darth Vapers. I actually liked their juice (maybe Bronze was right about me :p), but I am not positive that they are not using TA--I think it is. TA with a delicate hand is great--as can be seen with Apple Cured. When you can barely taste it, it does a juice good.

What Mann profundity did I come up with this time? :)

I was being kind when I said the same "base". If you let GJ steep long enough, you can hardly tell any difference at all. :)

I still have some Boba's and GJ that you sent me a hundred years ago. And it was a hundred years old when you sent it to me. I'm not sure I would even give it to the cat now. :)

I found your post interesting Bill. I have not really given most of the HHV stuff I have a good vaping as yet. I have more sampled them while they sit and wait for a good steeping. I haven't even vaped them enough to give you my break down on each individual flavour.

What I am finding is that I like the ones that have complex and deep flavours. I really like Pirate's Booty, Dragon Fire, Sludge and perhaps Heavenly Tobacco (though I am not sure my memory of what it was I sampled that i liked was Heavenly tobacco). There is one liquid amongst them, and I can't remember which it was (will have to sample again tonight after work) which I really adored. It made me realize why HHV is so popular.

But amongst the liquids I like, it is the complex deep flavours I like and I like them as more dessert vapes rather than first thing in the morning tobacco fix. It is those HHV liquids which are lacking complex flavour that I am finding disappointing. Those liquids seem to expose more of the base flavour in all HHV liquids which is basically a sweet kind of constitution. I too am not a fan of Dark Horse, Huntsman YET but I am trying. I also have sweet swish which is perhaps the greatest illustration of the pervasive sweetness of these juices. I will gladly give that away.

I've had just a drip sample of Legend and Serendipity and so far I am not blown away but I have not really given them a fair go and they might need more steeping.

In terms of tobacco, or anything that resembles a pipe or cigar, I am getting none of that in HHV juices. I see them more as an indulgent dessert vape than a tobacco constant which I require as my all day vape.

All this discussion has only made me want to try them more and more. I think they may have sufficiently steeped by now but I sense they could do with some more steeping.

Thanks for your take on this.

Anthony
Anthony,

I'd straighten you out if I could, but I'm afraid I'm also twisted.

Heather'sHeavenlyVapes is an extremely popular vendor on ECF (HHV's gazillion-page supplier thread attests to that). Heather's liquids are high-quality, well-made, and usually complex. And many posters of this thread adore HHV juices, especially their tobacco blends.

I've had Dark Horse, Dragon's Fire, Gandalf/Legend, Heavenly Army, Heavenly Tobacco (RY4), Huntsman, and Oompa. I loved Gandalf in the beginning, but it gradually faded for me over the past year. This isn't unusual for my palate---I'm easily won but hard to keep. Dragon's Fire was similar---great for awhile. And Heavenly Tobacco is a good synthetic Custom RY4.

The rest never won me over. Dark Horse and Huntsman reminded me of BackwoodsBrew tobaccos (not bad, but not special), Oompa just wasn't my cup of tea, and I flat-out didn't like Heavenly Army. That last one pretty much put the lid on HHV for me. I haven't ordered from them since.

When I think of HHV NETs, my brain says, "Ah, complex blends, usually sweet, with tobacco as ensemble player rather than star." No doubt many people would disagree, especially about Dark Horse and Huntsman.

I've often asked myself why I don't love HHV tobacco blends when so many other people do. What do they taste that I don't (or vice versa)? I've given up trying to answer those questions, however, because it doesn't matter what the reasons are. The only person I have to please in vaping is myself. The expanding marketplace of retail NETs has many other fine choices---Ahlusion, GoodEJuice, MountainOak, MyVapeJuice, QuickNic, PlumeRoom, etc.---plus, I'm deeply involved in making my own NET macerations and DIY juices. It's not like HHV will suffer without my business (or even notice my absence, for that matter). They'll do just fine without me.

Please understand: I'm not down on HHV. Their NETs are simply not for me.

Norman, Ok
Yeah, I tried Strawberry Vanilla Cake (even though I hate dessert juices!) because of YOU!!!

Mann, you OWE me for a 30ml!:D

I only take responsibility for 10 mL (sample size) of that. ;)

Ooh... ooh.... Does this also apply to the AeJ P-38 that I just ordered based on MM's recommendations... :D

What! I'm not letting you get away with that one LOL

Dark Horse would be one of those simply because it lacks flavor...just like a cigarette. The sweetness in Dark Horse will become duller as it ages. Always there but will be less sharp. If that makes any sense. Huntsman is much the same.

Me liking everything. I think I generally have low expectations, which why I rarely, except for HB's Malt , am let down.

I've known people that like stuff even more than you. Had one guy on ECF who liked every flavor he tried. Same guy who had 9 juices in his top five. And it depended what hour you asked him. I can't imagine if he had a few beers in him too. :D

Frankly, it makes me jealous. :)
