Quite tempted by that Drawtube. Anyone try one? With a Kick?

I missed this post. Never tried a Drawtube, but that's a great of a price for a quality telescoping mechanical. I would have to get used to using my pinky for the fire button. I wouldn't get a Kick with a mechanical mod, I would want to take advantage of it being a mechanical but would still use my variable power device more often.

After enjoying W2V Louisville yesterday, I've been vaping London today. This is a nice, rich, and straightforward tobacco. Whereas Louisville has a slight sweetness, London is smokey with a touch of spice (at least, that's impression it made after a few hours of dripping). I'm getting more Latakia than anything else, which in my experience can be a polarizing tobacco (though not as polarizing as perique). Of course I need to spend more time with it, but my first impression is that this is a fantastic choice for vapers that one a deep and full-flavored tobacco without any sweetness.

That's what I'm vaping today too :)

I love that you picked up on that slight touch of sweet in Louisville. For those reading this that have not had Louisville, or any of W2V juices, Louisville has practically no sweetness in comparisons to most liquids, but in a W2V stash, it is one that has more brightness than the rest and that slight touch of sweet. Honestly, I don't see most vapers being able to get that touch of sweet in Louisville, but it's in there.

I ordered one. My other mechanical is bottom fired so you get used to using your pinky. With bottom button though, you can't set it down upright without locking the button so I wanted one with side button.

I used to think pinkie firing was so unnatural, until I realized that my pinkie often times it at the bottom of my ProVari. Of course it's not doing anything, but I hold my PV like that. It may be a subconscious action from seeing so many bottom button vapers in videos--kinda worked its way into my vaping posture.

I vape that way too. Using the pinky at the bottom of the mod makes the balance feel even to me. It just feels more stable and the weight feels evenly distributed.

For pinky firing, it really depends on the resistance. The Nhaler Curve I picked up last week is easy breezy when it comes to firing. The Totally Wicked Odyssey requires much more pressure.

same here.

I went ahead and picked one up. I figure it was inexpensive enough that if I hate it, i can not use it... or use it as some kind of art deco piece :)

Got an order from GeJ in last week. Wild Turkey, Patriot, and Vita Bella. Immediately put the VB in the stash box to forget for a while. Started on Wild Turkey. The flavor is great, and has a bit of a dry taste. It seems subdued to me so I'm going to let it steep for a while. Patriot... AWESOME right out of the mail and it is getting better with time. I haven't used a lot of it but with a few beers tonight it's just what I need. Amazing. I'm vaping mostly Patriot and occasionally taking a draw from Legend or Boba's to switch it up a bit. Heaven.

Okay gonna give a little first impressions of London from Want2Vape. Heads-up, most of my initial opinions are some-what negative and I'm not sure if I'm just not in the mood for London today. So I will save some to try again at a later date on a different JDS, to give it another chance to win me over.

Basically, it's just not doing much for me and I'm finding it kind of dull. London is a NET in W2V's Signature Line, a line known for powerful tobaccos and, as far as I know, the original line-up of super-authentic and aggressive NETs with very little sweetness. London is their version of a traditional English pipe blend with Virginia, Orientals, and Latakia. I've never smoked a pipe but hear it's pretty spot on.

The Virginia tobacco seems like the main player to me, and I'm guessing provides the very slight hint of sweetness that's in the juice. The Latakia gives it some smokiness and a little bit of spice. I don't know if they use less Latakia than the much better (IMO) Devil Dog from Ahlusion and Fire Cured from Goodejuice, or if the extraction process or brand used makes a difference, but London isn't providing me with the Latakia impact those other two do. I want more spice, a little deeper smokiness, and a certain kick that's in those juices that I'm not getting here.

I've heard this compared to Devil Dog, but I'm just not connecting the two very much. DD is complex, layered, and even brutal if you're not prepared. The flavor is intense, but also fairly clean and focused. London just seems muddy and murky to me. All low notes and out of focus.

I was wondering why Loisville was working so much better for me. I have a few drops of that left so switched over. The answer was obvious, Loisville's grassy/leafy flavors added some higher notes and complexity, and seemed to provide focus for the bass. For my taste it's a much better and more interesting juice than London. It's seems odd to me that a juice that may just contain Burley has more depth to me than this blend does but that's how it is.

This was just my opinions tonight. Another juice, My Hero from MyVapeJuice, is all bass notes and muddy and it's one of my favorite juices, but wasn't right away. London may be grower and not a shower for me, but unless I have a big change of heart next session I won't be ordering a bottle.

You;'re flying to Paris tomorrow, yes? I am with you on London. It's okay, but Louisville is the whip for me. Muddy and murky with all low notes is the perfect description as far as I am concerned. London is great if you are oblivious to the better "versions" of similar tobacco mixes in liquids.

Nice review Jerms. It kinda puts my "great flavor, a little dry" assessment of Wild Turkey to shame. LOL

You all seem to be able to pick these liquids apart. I don't think I can do that, but I've only had about eight NETs so far and most have been on the sweeter side from HHV. After having WT and Patriot I'm actually afraid to try BGB or DD. That might punch my head off.

Well, considering my first review in this thread, way back when, was of Halo, I don't think it matters much.

Even the small assessments are great additions to the thread in my opinion, so don't hold back!

I couldn't pick juices apart for a long time either. It's more of a learned thing than a special talent. More experienced tasters, like people who do that for a living be it food or wine, cigars or liquor, would put our little lot here to shame. It's all for fun here, and a good place to practice describing what you taste if doing that sounds something someone would enjoy.

I picked up some new HHV liquids recently as well, including Heavenly Army. Not terribly impressed by it. I've seen a few people compare it to Smooth Criminal which was going to be on my first order from Ahlusion. Should I wave off on that one? How similar are they?

Heavenly Army and Smooth Criminal? How are they similar? They're both eliquid! LOL. Nah, but seriously, those two being similar might be a stretch. I am not saying which is good or not, but I don't think those two juices are similar at all. Some clearly think so, though. Hey, what is your nic %?

I'm glad to read that lol, thought I may have been way off base if I just wasn't in the mood for London. Louisville is great as itself and fairly unique, but London was just screaming to be compared to much better, similar juices for me. Not that London is a bad juice, I may have loved it a year ago before before having tried similar mixes that are done with a lot more clarity.

Flying to Paris either Friday or Monday, not sure yet.

18mg. It does me good during the day but keeps me up some nights. May order a few lower ones for the night.

And that is the key: "I may have loved it a year ago before before having tried similar mixes that are done with a lot more clarity." I think that all of this NET tasting, reviewing and back and forth stuff is all about the compare and contrast. Many people don't get it, but who really can talk about DK-Tab for more than a line or two? Are NETs fine wine? Maybe not. Is DK-Tab Pabst Blue Ribbon? No, not as good. LOL

As far as London, Fire Cured, Apache, and DD. To only have one is one thing, but to have had them all only allows for comparisons--it impossible not to.

I haven't seen posts that compare the two, that's news to me. I already plan on getting Heavenly Army next order, if it's similar to Smooth Criminal to me I'd be very happy indeed. Isn't HA suppose to be similar to Boba's?
