"Your Name Cherry" contest beta NET from www.quicknicjuice.com . Vaped on various drippers at various watts.

Sweetness (1 equals none, 5 equals sickenly): 3.5 Sweeter than the vanilla, getting close to a level of too sweet for me, but stopping short just in time. Thankfully, it's a fruit sweet which seems to come from the cherry.

tobacco Impact (1 being extremely mild and 5 being very aggressive and/or complex: 3. Mild tobacco that get's a little stronger with more heat. Leafy and a little smoky and earthy. The cherry seems to cut some of the complexity of the tobacco. The tobacco is there, but I need to search a little to notice the more interesting notes.

Vapability (1 being best for short sessions on occasion, 5 being an anytime, anywhere vape) 3.5. Sweet, smooth, overall pleasant. Easy to pick up and stick with when in the mood for a cherry tobacco, but not as enjoyable to think over the flavor as the vanilla, and lacks the creamy mouthfeel that made that one addictive for me.

Flavor Accuracy: No rating since it's not being sold a specific kind of vape yet. As a cherry tobacco it's accurate. More of a cherry AND tobacco instead of the complimenting flavors of my favorite cherry NETs. The cherry is nice, but not my favorite, a little artificial tasting to me. That's too bad because I notice the cherry much more than the tobacco. The vanilla felt like it could be part of the tobacco, the cherry doesn't pull that trick.

Overall: 3. I've had 3 cherry tobaccos that I love and work for me personally more than this one. I do think many others will like it more than I do though. Not that I dislike it, it is quite good and I like vaping it, but I don't want to order it since it's trumped by others. I personally like the vanilla a lot more, but I can see others prefering this one if it's the type of cherry they dig. This may also be one that with more aging it'll come together as something that clicks for me more, so sticking it back in the steep box.

Well.... Jerm's talking about mech mod's got me wanting something new in that arena... so I ordered a Sigelei #20 that should be here tomorrow. I've read that I may need to change out the spring to get better contact, an easy "fix" if that hasn't already been addressed by the factory.

This will be joining my Puresmoker Legacy ( the 18650 one ) which I really like also but being a telescoping mod, it can be much shorter. I've also got a couple of Bolt's ( Chrome and Black Chrome ) but I not sure I want to call them a fully mech mod since they have wiring and conventional horn switchs

I've also got an eGo style mod that uses 14500 batts and has 3 voltage settings... its called a Kamry eCab v2 that is either gold tone or brass. The voltage settings are 3.6v, 3.8v and 4.2v... using a 2.2 ohm coil will provide between almost 6w to just over 8w. I'm not yet expecting much and at just under $13, it isn't a big gamble. What I do like about it, like my 18650 mods, I can share the 14500 batteries with a LED flashlight I also ordered at the same time. If this works well... I'll have a nice tiny mod to carry that can still provide up to 8w vapes.

rdsok,

I saw the Kamry eCab v2 on fasttech.com. I was tempted but didn't pull the trigger. I have a couple of older "selectable voltage" eGo batts with the same 3.6-3.8-4.2V choices, and they never impressed me. To get 4.2 volts out of a 14500 size battery (900mAh claimed for Trustfire protected flames/blues, but in reality probably around 500mAh) over the complete charge, the eCab would need need boost circuitry, which I think is beyond its sophistication. Instead, I'm betting that it has only a buck circuit, which regulates the voltage downward. Those eGos of mine never metered more than 4.0V, even at full charge. Also, that 4.0 volts is without a load, so under the load of a 2.2 ohm atty/carto/clearo, the actual delivered voltage will be considerably less. 8 watts is unrealistic to expect. Maybe 7 at best, probably more like 6 at the highest setting.

That said, I hate charging eGo batts. I much prefer simply swapping out removable batteries, so for $13, the eCab might still be OK. Sure, my many VV and VW APVs are great, but they tend to be big and heavy. I'm always a little surprised at the decent performance delivered by my regular vanilla 1100mAh eGo batts, and I like the small form factor, so perhaps the eCab might do as well as they do.

Let us know how you like yours.

I was only expecting a buck circuit myself... so as I mentioned, I'm not expecting a lot. Mainly just something for a quick outing etc that is easy to carry. Obviously an IMR battery will help with amp load issues but of course will also drain them quicker.

The #20 may actually fit that bill pretty well ( small with a 18350 ) also

Yea. That's
What I'm on now. Will get taptalk tomorrow. Had to try to figure out how to get some work done first. The free WiFi at the apartment is horrendous but was enough to get part way there without needing to go back to work.

Ugh.

Hey guys, now that I'm back (at least for a bit ;) ), wanted to share a few notes.

I just tried the Ahlusion Cocoa Blend and it has a LOT of promise. Tried it completely fresh today--no steeping.

Right now, the tobacco aromas completely overpower the cocoa, which is exactly the way I like it. LOTS of tobacco funk, some sweetness, lots of woody scents, and strong hints of pure cocoa powder.

On the draw, the cocoa is prominent but the tobacco is much more so. Very similar with the exhale. The cocoa you might imagine, but the tobacco: very dark, smooth, lots of bark, hardwood, no burnt flavor, raisins, not too fruity, very woodsy. Everything an aromatic tobacco should be right out of the tin.

The thing is, the chocolate and tobacco are very distinct from each other right now (fresh bottle). You can already tell, however, how well these flavors will meld with each other with a month of steeping. I can't wait to seem how beautiful this flavor will be once complete. This is one of those flavors you can just TELL will be good.

Cheers,
Abe

Official description:
"Very mature old belt flue-cured Virginia's spiced with Loisiana Perique. This is one of our Non-Aromatic blends. With quite a spicy flavour, to be enjoyed on it's own. "

Perique... sticky sticky sticky. I think 5 filterings just to be on the safe side. I need to get a giant syringe and try the cotton ball method of filtration...

Get some micron filters, too. Filter through a cotton ball/q-tip (like junkies do) several times, then once you cant see any sediment, twist the micron filter on (50u [micron] is the smallest I'd go, 100 might be easier]) and push the brew through it.
I have a feeling this is how GeJ get such clean liquid. Maybe even Wlad, too.

I gotta tell you Shat, I have both a Provari and a VAMO and the VAMO has nothing to be ashamed about. It keeps up quite well with my Provari at a third of the cost mind you). I use them both equally...the Vamo the first half of the day when I am switching flavors frequently (like that VW feature) and the Provari the last half of the day when I settle in on my Dragon's Fire for the est of the day.

Oh, I have a VAMO, too. But I've been through quite a few of them. The one I have now was having firing issues, but it seems to be working fine now. Have a tank of something on it and was vaping it in bed last night.

I know there were defect issues with VAMOs when they were initially released. In fact, I had issues with the first one I got. I returned it and got a replacement and it has been stellar. VAMOs are quite robust. Vaping it now. :)

Unfortunately, internet is fried at home. This means that I will be very scarce over the next few days.

Good times.

Can't like that.

Anyone here take Ambien for insomnia? I had to take some last night. Worst med ever.

OMG, Shatner. Ambien is the devil's medicine!

It gives me seizures in my sleep. I thrash around and kick a lot. Including, unfortunately, once on the plane trip from LAX-SYD in 2012. The fellow sitting in front of me asked to be moved because I was apparently kicking the back of his seat without knowing it. Which, when I found out about it, mortified me to the point that I flushed the rest of them down the toilet.

It is bad stuff:(

Vaping Huntsman in a tank on my Kamry. Perhaps tomorrow I'll have an Anyvape to compare it to.

That's one big ... e-cig :D

Yes, although he's a 'soft glass' (Soda Lime [103COE] furnace work. I work with an oxygen/propane torch, solid glass tubes and rods (borosilicate [boro] glass [Pyrex being a brand name, owned by Corning] aka 'hard glass' with a COE of 33 . I use the flame to heat and gravity to help shape. Josh uses a furnace to gather molten glass, works it on a bench, rolling it back and forth with assistants blowing in to the blow pipe (metal). Some people do work boro in a furnace. In fact, that's how the color company make tube and rod, color or clear.
