OMG, did anyone see the new trailer of game play footage for GTA:V? Are RPad and I the only gamers here?

Yeah, that was the hotness this morning. Here's the trailer for those that missed it.

I totally forgot about it when I went to the Pacific Rim screening. Giant robots and giant monsters are cool.

On a NETizen note, Sahara Blend is still immensely enjoyable. I'm going to put it down and let it steep for a few more weeks. Even in the time I've been vaping it, I can taste the sweetness dropping a little and the spiciness kicking up a notch.

No more juices for me to for a long while, with the exception of natural-extracted-tobacco.com which was a real kick in the teeth for my vow not to spend anymore money on e-cigs for a while. I mean, who can resist buying from a site with that name and who sells their juices in cold maceration and heat extraction. Not possible to avoid.

Looking forward to reading the frontrunner reviews that I am sure will hit this thread very shortly.

No,NO, NO!, I have too much juice!I'm running away now, enabler

Would it be daft of me to ask who the kid in your profile photo is? Is that your son? :p I keep thinking that is a beer in his hand until I look closer.

Bronze, I was born in March 1959 in Brooklyn NY, and moved to the Long Island suburbs in July of 1969. My dad was a depression-era Hard-*ss & NYC Sanitation Foreman who'd do anything for his family, instead of having him pay for College or Vocational Schooling, I signed up. It was the best experience, a challenging adventure and a pleasure to serve, wished I would have retired.

On Topic, I vaped some Kuba Kuba using a Kanger T2 @8.4 watts (on my newly arrived DNA20 Bogger Box), no earthiness but still some type of muted Tea/ Grass note. I"ll attribute the muted flavor to the T2, switching to the RDA Octopus @8.4 watts & 8 drops of Kuba Kuba.

A few too many drops, some liquid oozing from my RDA air-hole, the tobacco notes are showing up right behind the higher/lighter Tea, not as muted as the T2. I kicked up the wattage to 9.6, the tobacco has decided to step out front, the Tea type notes are still present and complimentary to the tobacco. Tobacco is dominant @10.6 watts, the Tea/higher notes are shadowy & lurking in the background, still very good flavor... TOBACCO Flavor.

Oh dear. How long ago did you send it? I had Chimps send me a package with ahlusion juices about 4-5 weeks ago, that set me back $100 and it never arrived. If Chimps gets it back I sure hope the bottles aren't empty.

I can tell the difference when I torch and twist... I'd be interested if you can. (mine may be psychosomatic... )

On an unrelated frustrating note, I had a package I shipped overseas returned to me today because there was a "problem" with customs. no details. no nada. The kicker? its empty bottles. The package I sent that contained liquids took a long time but, went without issue.

I hate the post office.

I love red pirate, if indeed you are referring to W2v's Red Pirate. I recently learnt it is extracted from a chewing tobacco?

It is a gunker alright and I only vape it in my genny's. I currently have it in my RSST.

The vapor on the Eko-Phoenix is improving. I confess I never did redo it after hearing about torching and twisting (I did neither) because as you all know my patience with RBAs is pretty low. I had to use my tweezers to lift the coil nearly to the level of the screws, and that helped a lot... previously the coil had almost been submerged.

The only reason I can see for not preferring this to my mesh Phoenix, is that the Eko tends to hold onto flavors a bit longer. It takes about two fill-ups-worth to get the old flavor out completely, whereas with the mesh it is pretty much instantaneous. Also the vapor is still thicker and better with the mesh. But it isn't bad, not at all.

Also used the ribbon Kanthal to wire up my AGA-T, which I filled with an old favorite: Red Pirate. If ever there was a juice designed to be vaped in an RBA it's this one: icky icky sticky. Half a tank down on the Kamry and it is delightful: all the toasted-cereal graininess I love plus an Ahlusion-like aromatic edge that perfectly suits the decaf mocha I'm having before bed.

Jerms, the least you could do is try them unsteeped and give us some first impressions. No point telling us you have samplers and not giving us something to work with here :)

A good arti-bacco or non-bacco isn't a guilty pleasure for me, just a pleasure pleasure lol.

I knew Clay before his website, and have chatted via pm with him before. These are just samples to try, haven't placed an order yet. Hope I'm not telling tales out of school here.

Bing! SteamMonkey order shipped, looking forward to trying the infamous Ekowool.

Here's my latest mini-coil creation.. dual wires, one 31ga and one 30ga. 1.10 ohm with 16 total wraps (8 of each) on an IGO-L.

I'll make up for my shop talk by doing my review of Hey Jack tonight lol. Was just proud of this build.
Dude that is SICK! Mine are horrible and messy by comparison :p

Scarf,

I'm a bit off the net topic here but wanted to throw this out there for you. I've been through the wringer on these jds. Phoenix, ac9, rsst, ebaron pro, igo-l, aga-t, etc. Just too much hassle, gurgly or leaky. Recently, the wife gifted me with a reo grand for my birthday so I topped it with the reomizer 2 and I have finally found my satisfaction. I squonk the juice up and saturate the wick, let off the bottle and the excess drains back down through a hole in the ceramic. I get zero flooding, gurgle or leaking, don't even have to blind squonk. The wick only has to be very short, like maybe only 7mm so my xc-116 or silica goes a long way. The rm2 has a ceramic plate in the bottom of the atty which acts like a flavor plate. 1.2mm airhole (perfect for me, not too airy), the post are equally offset (unlike the igo-l) with holes for easy coil setup, small vapor chamber with cap that screws on and the air hole lines up perfectly with the coil.

The whole combo is just awesome and for the first time in almost 10 months, I've not touched my provari or my other top-feeder mods, gennys, rda's, etc. for the past week. I love the rm2 so much that I got a second one and ordered a boggerbox to run it on. And I'll probably sell off some mods and grab another reo. I can't believe I waited almost a year to try a goosebox but maybe it's for the best... not sure if I would've enjoyed a drip catch full of juice.

ymmv
cheers

A Reomizer  Another thing to covet. Don't those come out about as often as Halley's comet? I am a little gun-shy after my last pricey JDS that didn't live up to the hype (Ebaron Spiral). I do have a Reo Mini with Vapage Silo cartos on it. It's currently pumping out delightful clouds of TPR Creamy Mint. For now I've discovered that they work just fine and last weeks.

Besides that I've been paying more attention to my Provari Mini and my trusty Winders. The Prov is going into its 16th problem-free, maintenance-free month.

Oh dear. How long ago did you send it? I had Chimps send me a package with ahlusion juices about 4-5 weeks ago, that set me back $100 and it never arrived. If Chimps gets it back I sure hope the bottles aren't empty.

Anthony, I sent out a bunch of parcels last year on the same day, from the same Woden post office. Four of them arrived in 10 days, and the other two took over a month. Incomprehensible.
And the bottles that CW is sending me are empty bottles for the Vmod, not juice bottles. That would suck to have juice-thieving customs inspectors!:-x

You're fine to ask, it is my son @4 y/o and that was taken October 2012, he likes to sing, dance & act out scenes from movies... a real ham whenever a camera is around.

Hey Folks, just a heads-up for those who use tanks. I am always on the lookout for something that's better than the EVOD, Pro-tank, VapeOnly BCC type tanks. Recently I tried a Bauway SS mesh cartomizer, a Terminator RDA tank and a Vision Victory. None came close to producing the flavor and vape clouds I get with the EVOD types. Also tried " ready wire " and Nikrothal for making coils. The Nikrothal worked well for me, very fast heat up and after several runs of NET Wicked Wench the build up was minimal. The " ready wire " from Smoky's blew out immediately every time. After five coils I gave up. Probably something I'm doing wrong but, as with all e-cig hardware, info was hard to come by. Just thought I'd pass that along, maybe save some of you a few dollars.

Oh, also I recommend Kanger T-3 mini's if you can find them. Last time I looked Stormy's had 6 left. Same as a T-3 only 1.4 ml. Great for checking out new juices if you want a short quick one with minimal waste.

My first ever Ahlusion order is finally steeped properly. Vurley, Blue Grass Burley and Smooth Criminal all day today for me. Mmmmn nom nom.

I don't think I've ever been this excited to try a new vendor. I was very excited to try Ahlusion. And the wait was killer; it was right when they started blowing up last September. I managed to slip in just before they closed registration to new users.

I'm certain that the reason I'm even more excited for NET.com is the customization. I really, really like how you can choose your extraction method. Also, they will procure and extract any tobacco you'd like. For extract or e-juice, just like the rest of their line. That's freaking awesome and one sweet business model. I really hope NET.com is a success story. So far the framework seems to be there.

HEY JACK from www.mountainoakvapors.com

The Juice: HEY JACK (hereafter refered to Hey Jack) is a high VG (greater than 60%) medium-bodied maple Cavendish made with 100% natural and organic flavorings.

The Hardware: 1.6 ohm A6 with German silica on a KTS Storm, and Phoenix with ss mesh wick on a VAMO. This juice tasted better to me on the silica set-up; fuller and cleaner than the mesh.

The following attributes are rated from 1 to 5, depending which direction it falls under to my tastes. The overall rating is my personal preference with 5 being best.

Sweetness: 4. Not sickenly sweet, not Bounty Hunter sweet, but very sweet. Many will like the level of sweet, it's at the level of the more sweeter NETs like Dragon's Fire from HHV. To me though, it's sweeter than it needs to be and distracts from the tobacco. Higher watts lessens the sweetness, but sadly seems to mute all the flavors without bringing out more tobacco. Maybe if the tobacco was stronger it could balance out better for me. Pendragon and Sunday Morning from them is also sweet, but with more tobacco impact, and with those I could raise the heat to get more tobacco and less sugar.

Tobacco Impact: 2.5. A very mellow, easy-going Cavendish tobacco with some light smoky notes and, if I look really hard and use my imagination, some light leafy notes. I really like MOV's sweet tobaccos because they are complex without being aggressive, and have a wonderful leafy bite on the exhale that can really be felt when exhaling slowly. This tobacco is different, more of a standard, mild Cavendish. It will appeal to many, but I really want more complexity

Vapability: 3. Like the other MOV NETs, Hey Jack is nice, smooth, and pleasant. Their other NETs are 70/30 pg/vg and this is their first "high VG" NET. The throat hit doesn't suffer though, which can be a problem with some higher vg ratios, so that's nice. It's a good morning vape, and maple is a flavor I can enjoy most of the time. Not the best for long sessions for me, and honestly after vaping it heavily for a few days I'm tiring of it. The sweet is more acceptable after vaping for a while, but lack of complexity doesn't keep it exciting.

Flavor Accuracy: 3.5. Hey Jack has a good, solid maple tobacco flavor. The maple, while good, is unexeptional. Kind of basic, more like pancake syrup than real maple syrup. I'm guessing it's the maple flavor that's often present in real maple Cavendish tobacco, so authenticity may be there. With ejuice however, we can go above and beyond, and MOV does with others, but not so much here.

Overall: 3. Would I maybe give this a better review if this was my first MOV NET or from a less favored by me vendor? Probably. MOV set my expectations high with their other NETs and to keep me happy they'll need to meet or exceed those with new offerings. This is my review so I get to include my expectations, prejudices, and preferences. If someone was looking for recommendations on a good maple NET though, I would erase those and happily suggest this one. It's much better than CravinVapes Maple Spirit Tobacco. On a personal level though; it's a woulda, coulda, shoulda. My least favored MOV NET.

He looks like a real character and so cute :) I was kind of hoping he was someone relevant to you and not just a snipped photo from the net.

I have to say I haven't been this excited about an order in a long time.

If I look back over 3+ years of vaping I would see these were my top 4 most anticipated vape orders:

1) About 2 1/2 years ago - Orders with Backwoods Brew and Vaperite. I actually think this was my single most anticipated order. I remember I tracked the order down at a central dispatch location just to pick it up one day earlier.

2) About 4 months ago - My orders with HHV and Goodejuice

3) The juices Scarfy sent me about 4 months ago containing a real mix of NET's from Ahlusion, The Plume Room, My Vape Juice, Alice in Vapeland and Niteline Vapor along with a few other random vendors. These arrived at my work and remember taking about 10 trips to the bathroom to test out some of the liquids. I remember being astonished at how Blue Grass Burley tasted like a mulch of grass and I liked it a lot.

4) My first ever orders with FreedomsmokesUSA and Vapor4Life about 3 1/2 years ago. I still remember that first order with Vapor4life where I got the pre-filled cartridges in a range of tobacco and fruit flavours. There was no variable voltage but I now know those cartridges came in at about 2.6 ohms and the 280 mah e-cig battery that was auto or manual only barely sputtered a measly 3.3 volts.

The order with naturally-extracted-tobacco.com is definitely one that I would take measures and go out of my way to get one day early. It took will arrive at my work and I will once again take some trips to the bathroom to try out the liquids.

I don't think I've ever been this excited to try a new vendor. I was very excited to try Ahlusion. And the wait was killer; it was right when they started blowing up last September. I managed to slip in just before they closed registration to new users.
