Ok, I'll post it back up since it works here too, from the thread.. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=440431

Oh and also for me, it seems that the juices that hold my attention for the longest are often ones that I didn't quite get right away or wasn't initially super impressed with. Southern Gentleman from MountainOakVapors was just OK for several ml. Than my appreciation grew and now I can see vaping it for a long time. Then there's ones like Patriot from GoodeJuice, that after one vape I knew I needed a big bottle of.

It works fine here Jerms. A juice has to be at least a little interesting to have long term appeal. Some pretty good ones have certainly started as much less than they blossomed into. Southern Gentleman and Smooth Criminal both come to mind.

Yep. Smooth Crim I did dig right away, but time allowed it to really become something I love, same with Huntsman. SoGent was meh at first, after being infatuated with Pendragon and SunMorn. Now it's up their with PenD as a favorite, and may even pass that one. Vaping SoGent now on my new build, and it's killer. Gonna wait until tomorrow to post my Hey Jack review, wrote enough long posts around the forum today lol.

Thanks Shatner, I'll write those down.

Went on a FastTech spree. Unbelievable all I got for around $34 shipped. Got the all brass Sentinel clone (awesome looking mech) for only $18! Very little voltage loss from what I've read, comparible to ones that cost hundreds. Had to throw in a couple rebuildable drippers and eVods.

No problem. I'm also waiting on a strangely similar priced order from fasttech.

My QnJ shipped today. I just picked up larger bottles of Humpback from Notre Dame (or whatever it's called) and the Fire Cured in the Hole. Scarfy's stuff is in there too. She loaded up on a lot of QnJ. She'll get hers aprox a week after I get mine. I know she's jacked. Her and I like Proudest Monkey. She's my banana sister. :)

Also have all the pipe tobaccos coming from Clay. His ECF page should be up any time. That means we wont see him here (or on the HHV Army thread). :(

I gotta quit ordering juices. I have a year's supply here. Easily!

Did you get an email from Clay that it shipped? Or same deal as Jerminator?

That's the one juice I keep trying to "win" on ModEnvy... I didn't know they made anything else besides the Peach and then Tropical Tobacco. Thanks for the links. Maybe I'll win a bottle next week.

I haven't disliked one. But I didn't get Tropical Tobacco or Quindicci Tobacco. But all the others are great. I can't wait until they steep. If they last that long; I got 10ml bottles.

Some of that juice will go bad before you can vape it. You have more than me Dust. But I'm not far behind.

When you comin' home?

I just had to get rid of a lot of juice for this very reason. Sucked.

Here's my latest mini-coil creation.. dual wires, one 31ga and one 30ga. 1.10 ohm with 16 total wraps (8 of each) on an IGO-L.

I'll make up for my shop talk by doing my review of Hey Jack tonight lol. Was just proud of this build.

You're forgiven.

Ehh, I dunno.

OMG, did anyone see the new trailer of game play footage for GTA:V? Are RPad and I the only gamers here?

I tried my fresh Hey Jack tonight. Didn't find it to be offensively sweet but put it back in the steep box. It shows promise as a mild, easy vape. Awaiting your review Jerms.

That about sums it up, mild easy vape. Not too sweet, but sweeter than I personally think it needs to be. I don't think it changed much with age. I didn't notice much change with any of MOV NETs except for FLF RY4. I think they try to sell juices good to go and do big batches, since there's no option to change the ratios.

Did you notice Hey Jack was high vg? I had actually forgotten that because the throat hit is still good at 18mg.

I've been calling it a dual wire coil, but yes, dual interlocking coils. It's a mini-coil, the micro-coil pros limit "true" micro-coils to 1/16th inch (1.5mm) diameter, and mine are a little bigger since I use silica instead of rolled cotton.

I started using two wires so I could get more wraps at half the ohms to use on mechs. I was thinking that since some juices provide different flavor notes at different heat, what if I made a set-up where the wires heat at a different temps, combining the notes for a fuller flavor. The 2 different gauges side by side provide 2 levels of alternating heat, but I don't know yet if it actually tastes better. Vapes very well though!

I remembered it was high VG. Doesn't seem to make a big difference. I ordered the Chai Tea Latte, high VG also. So far it tastes almost exactly like a powdered Chai mix that the wife buys.

I agree with the first part. But MOV lost me. Don't know what happened. Just don't care for their NETs anymore. Strange. Ahlusion has me by the Gentleman's Bits.

So is that a good thing with the Chai? I have the Chai Tea Latte coming with my arti-bacco order from them. Curious to see how it compares with Ahl's Chai Latte, which is an amazing vape.

Heh. I was just at the MOV B&M today and their juice selection, especially their tobaccos, were actually really good. I was impressed. I was down in Chattanooga visiting my girlfriend, but I made an effort to visit Vintage Vapers and MOV. MOV's B&M in-store prices were pretty impressive. 3 30 mls for 32 bucks! Smok Pyrex carto tanks for $12. Drip tips for $3, and the MVP for $59! They also had a pretty decent selection of mechs and RBAs.

Glad to know if I ever have to move back, there's a glimmer of home in the Tennessee Valley.

The only drawback is, I'm a carto tank guy, and they only stocked 3-hole pre-punched cartos. No one-holes. I hate three-punched holes, or even two-punched holes, for anything less than 100% VG. I've never had problems with my single hole cartos wicking 60/40.

It's good, a little bit like a spiced hot chocolate. Haven't tried the Alusion one yet but you can count all of the non tobacco flavors I've ordered on one hand.

Today's very modest vapemail: Ekowool and ribbon Kanthal. Wired up one of my two Phoenixes and gave it a shot, baptized with Vita Bella.

It certainly tastes better than garden-variety silica but the vapor is on the weak side. I wonder how long it takes to break in? The ribbon Kanthal I can't tell yet, but it is certainly easier to work with than the normal type.

The RSST has irreparably fallen apart. I seriously cannot understand how I managed to wreck this but it pulls apart with a nasty look. I am disappointed in the extreme because it seemed so promising when I got it.

WAAAAAH.

Scarf,

I'm a bit off the net topic here but wanted to throw this out there for you. I've been through the wringer on these jds. Phoenix, ac9, rsst, ebaron pro, igo-l, aga-t, etc. Just too much hassle, gurgly or leaky. Recently, the wife gifted me with a reo grand for my birthday so I topped it with the reomizer 2 and I have finally found my satisfaction. I squonk the juice up and saturate the wick, let off the bottle and the excess drains back down through a hole in the ceramic. I get zero flooding, gurgle or leaking, don't even have to blind squonk. The wick only has to be very short, like maybe only 7mm so my xc-116 or silica goes a long way. The rm2 has a ceramic plate in the bottom of the atty which acts like a flavor plate. 1.2mm airhole (perfect for me, not too airy), the post are equally offset (unlike the igo-l) with holes for easy coil setup, small vapor chamber with cap that screws on and the air hole lines up perfectly with the coil.

The whole combo is just awesome and for the first time in almost 10 months, I've not touched my provari or my other top-feeder mods, gennys, rda's, etc. for the past week. I love the rm2 so much that I got a second one and ordered a boggerbox to run it on. And I'll probably sell off some mods and grab another reo. I can't believe I waited almost a year to try a goosebox but maybe it's for the best... not sure if I would've enjoyed a drip catch full of juice.

ymmv
cheers

Despite being off work sick today I've had a nice little present arrive to me in the mail. The V4-V8 atomizers which were sold by Michliu in a co-op have arrived and I am pretty excited about this.

I ordered these after someone in this thread recommended it and I can't remember who it was. It may have been Johnni. Whoever it was, thanks so much.

For $50 I had the 5 Phoenix atomizers delivered to me, pre-installed. These atomizers look a cut above the stock standard Phoenix original and V3 which I already own. I am not entire sure which version the atties in the photos are (I suspect the two dual coil ones are V5 and V7)but one of the atomizers in the picture has air flow control by turning the body of atomizer. This will be the first time I get an atomizer with has air flow control and the first time I will have atomizers with more than one hole. Up until now I've been using RBA's with pin ..... holes.

Not feeling the best today and my taste buds are not performing. My chest is heavy so vaping is not giving me the usual blissful sensations it usually does. I've hardly been vaping today and have had no desire to, much to my amazement and horror. I might wait until I feel better before I start getting into these RBA's but I am sure I will crack by the end of the day.

Sorry you're under the weather. In your pic, top to bottom: Phoenix v7, v5 (my favorite), v8, v6, v4. 5,6, and 7 have three posts for dual coils. These things are well made (stainless) and were an absolute steal at the co-op price! Hope you enjoy them all!

So it was you who made us aware of the co-op Johni? If it was, thank you so much. There is no way in the world, living in Australia I would have been able to get my hands on all of them. These look really well made. The V5 has the air flow control and is dual coil.

I decided to start off with the v6 and dripped an old faithful, Patriot in it. Much like the V3, The v6 doesn't have a cup and it appears to have a standard sized hole. It's a small dripper, maybe 5 drops on each fill. It's vaping incredibly. Amazing flavour and vapor with Patriot, even if I am not tasting a great deal with the illness.

The V5,6 and 7 look like real vapor machines with the extra holes which are larger.

Good builds make all the difference in RBA atomizer performance. I can see by how perfectly the kanthal is wrapped and connected that these have much better builds than the ones I am used to making. It seems evident to me that I am not building my Phoenix attys very well judging by how well this atomizer is performing. I have poor dexterity when it comes to working in small spaces and still have to work on making good quality builds. I have less of a problem with the Igo-L's but the phoenix attys require a steady hand.

Still trying to figure out what the Allan keys are for.
