The thing that Big Spirit has going for it is that is isn't over thought. No added "cocoa." C'mon, you know cigarettes have added cocoa. No added cardamom. You know Marlboros have cardamom. No added nothing.

Whether cigarettes have "added" notes or not, it doesn't hardly ever come through in the actual smoke.

Big Spirit isn't over thought. Simple and to the point.

Apparently there are a lot of cigarettes out there with graham cracker.

I think I'll start another Boba's Bounty thread for Shatner...

...and also a thread for y cherry y on how taste is subjective.

:p

So..

I just bought a Gepetto bottom-feeder and a Cyclone to go with it, learning to build coils, etc. etc. trying to get through the Learning Curve etc. etc.

Not doing badly, not doing great - somewhere between the land of Popped Coil and Cloud Chaser. A little HoL here, a little N-E-Tcom there.

It occurred to me that for some unfathomable reason I hadn't squonked any Ahlusion - specifically BGB.

So, what the heck, new micro coil and cotton wick, load up some BGB..and...wait for it...meh. Mediocre vapor and taste, thinking I prolly punted the coil (again) or overwicked (again)...blargh.

So I'm noodling around, make a few tiny adjustments -still no great shakes..a few more adjustments...and

Hello, Blue Grass Burley!

At first I thought I'd caught the Gepetto on fire.

Nope! Just got the coil right..for a change. :)

Now I know what Wlad meant when he wrote, "Not recommended for use on cartomizers/tanks as the intended flavors do not shine through in our opinion."

After months of using Protanks with a variety of power sources, I have finally switched to dripping with mechanical mods. Okay, so my taste buds weren't lying to me. I WASN'T getting the same flavors many of you reported here. Now, I'm getting completely different tastes yet again. With 2 drippers, I'm blissfully vaping GodZNilla and HumpBack from QnJ. I may pick up a couple more drippers to tease the palate with more flavors. Yes, it's a different world and using cotton wicks makes a huge difference to me.

I couldn't resist. Got me some Big Spirit Extract, Black Cavendish Extract and some juice suspiciously labeled Uncle BJ's BlackBerry Burley.

I havent tried Analog...yet. People are raving about it.

However, NETCOM is having a 20% off sale this week code: FALLNETSALE

I got the Analog in an order last week. Gej has gotta do something about their labels. The Analog is the same size bottle as my VB and I almost used the VB because the writing wiped off both labels. It was a save because the Analog is urine color and the VB is a dark red right now, going into the chestnut phase. Gotta steep until it's a nice mahogany.

I really enjoyed the Analog, it's sweet but not overpowering so. Kinda like Hangsen Red only not as dry. I'm getting a bigger bottle next time. An ADV that will replace W2V's Pure Smoke in my rotation.

I also ordered some Big Spirit in an extract from NETCOM. Looking forward to mixing some up at 12mg 50/50.

I too haven't had Analog, just Big Spirit. I plan on adding Analog to my next GeJ order, Shatner has me pretty pumped to try it.

Big Spirit is.. possibly the best cigarette tobacco NET I've had. It'll be tough for Analog to pass it.

They're NETs. I expect volatility. Just like the corn crop in Illinois when I lived there.

Noticeable variations to some random taster, not just some freak supertaster, is not indicative of all NETs, just some vendors that don't have the ability to chuck a batch if it ain't right.

I just placed an order with NET.com and I am pretty excited!

NET.com has 6 new single varietals and I ordered a bottle of each. It's going to be rewarding trying them on their own and then following some mixing suggestions. I am looking forward to trying them all. The chokaw Perique is one I am really looking forward to. Will it rival Vaperite's and Goodejuice's Perique offerings?

The Latakia varietal is touted as being in the same ball park as Apache by Clay and Fired Cured Burley in the same league, or thereabouts as BGB though Clay himself attests to the unique and unrivaled extraction process of ahlusion.

The pumpkin Pie tobacco and coconut cavendish are both not in the domain of the kinds of flavours I would ordinarily order but I picked up 5ml samplers. They are too exotic to leave out of my order.

Can someone please tell me what their take is on the grassiness that comes in some juices? Apparently, it has been said that it is primarily latakia that gives Apache it's grassiness and yet it is presumably burley that makes up BGB from ahlusion and that has to be the 'grassiest' liquid out there. The grassiness is so intense in BGB and most of ahlusions aromatics that it's as if someone mulched up some fresh clipped lawn and liquified it.

I used to think the grassiness in liquids pertained to a particular type of tobacco but I now think it might be the extraction method and that all pipe tobaccos have that grassiness element in varying degrees. Are there any former pipe smokers that could help out here?

Gold from NET.com needs a mention here. I think it is like Big Spirits bolder brother. It's brighter than Big Spirit and flavoursome like a rich analog. It has a hay or straw like flavour. That is not to say it is better than Big Spirit, it is just to say that it is 'like' Big Spirit but has a slight variation. I take Gold to be more of an analog cigarette experience than a cigar or pipe experience. I vape Gold and Big Spirit interchangeably when I am seeking that specific kind of flavour which I think embraces both.

I haven't tried analog from Goodejuice yet. But if tastes anything like Hangsen liquids I reckon my vote would be for Big Spirit and Gold because there are no liquids I've tried to date that capture an analog cigarette quite with the same flavoursome appeal. Most attempts come out tasting like paint stripper (think Highbrow tobaccos or Morley from W2V).
I haven't tried Analog, but for some reason I am thinking Big Spirit all the way (not a time to use acronyms. LOL)

Put Scotch tape over GeJ's labels as soon as you unpack them.

Heh... My first "good" liquid (i.e., not Chinese industrial effluent pre-loaded in a cart) was an RY4 type and I was a little confused by it. I was expecting Thee Greatest Tobacco Evah from the description but... yeah, graham crackers.

Oh, their bottles are awful, especially the small ones... Finger cramp city. Love the contents, though.

I know, right?! And those are not PET. Those labels and bottles are the antithesis of what a lot of vendors are doing now. When I get them, they look like something that would simply be in test kitchen, not what what would be the actual product. But then again, as VM said, we love the contents (at least with a few).

Recently I had a thread all ready to go called "Ship wrecks vs. Care packages." It was virtually along the same lines as yours, but I was a bit more ...... that some vendors are still not securing, in a professional manner, their packages and contents. I opted to not post it since I thought some may be a little .... hurt that their vendors are still slacking.

The fact is that eliquid is under a microscope and, subsequently, the vendors that sell it. It is time for vendors to get their houses in order. Like now!

Yes. Either invest now, where you might have some control over it, or later, when you're forced to by laws and regulations.

Besides, with the industry growing, some might consider certain vendors "unprofessional" because of the bottles and labels they use, and that might harm return customers, which are the backbone and heart of any business.
