All over the place
Thought I would share this link to a BBC documentary called Addicted to Pleasure: Nicotine. It's a 4 part series documentary with each episode about one particular substance that has been part of human life and pleasure for centuries. The tobacco episode linked is educational and fascinating. It covers the history of tobacco and tobacco smoking and how it affects the pleasure centres of the brain. There are plenty of scenes showing tobacco in its natural state before harvest. The origins of smoking and smoking devices is covered from the time it was first discovered in the South Americas to the English Pipe smoking generation and then snuff which came from Virginia US.

I'll watch today.

The Kayfun has a tank, and most swear by it. If you don't like it -- yes, you could easily, very easily, quickly sell it. Many folks don't want to wait for it to ship from Germany, and they are in HOT, HOT, HOT demand.

If you prefer a dripper, go Phoenix, IGO or Vicious Ant. Easy to set up. 28g kanthal/Ekowool is what I prefer. Organic cotton is all the rage now, but you have to be wary of those dry hits. If I can easily set up an RDA -- so can you, Shatner! :)

Link to the Vicious Ant? I assume it's a dripper? Pros and cons of the Ant vs. Phoenix and IGO?

Kayfun Lite for sure .. and do go with Intaste.de in Germany. They ship FedEx, usually with next day delivery. ;)

For a dripper, I love my Igo-L. It was cheap, no fancy trimmings, but just gets the job done!

Is the Kayfun Lite a dripper? I don't want a tank. With tat said, shoudl I stick to Igo-L or a fancy non tank RDA? Any suggestions on fancy non tank RDAs? I'm not digging for answers; just too damn much into and most is conflicting.

Also, is there a place where I can get the dripper, wire and ekowool?

After studying Jerms' micro coils and how he just wraps them around a nail/screw I don't see how i could F it up. I'm really thinking of making a glass RBA/RDA. But grounding is the issue at which I meet a wall as glass is an insulate so I'd need to figure out conductive posts and connections (510/hybrid). But I could copper electroforming. Hmmmmm.

Thanks, guys!

I just finished watching it. It's a good historical account of the evolution of tobacco, nicotine and the psyche of the people in each epoch who smoked. The doco also covers the effect on the brain and the unique properties of nicotine being both a mental stimulant for concentration and clarity and a relief for anxiety and stress.

I'll watch today.

Shatner, here is a link to a thread about RBA/RDA's. It pushes the RM2 (Reo Miser 2.0), but the principles work on any RBA. I just purchased a Phoenix Bully Rebuildable Atomizer - RBA (gv-BullyAtomizer) = $10.95 for use with dripping. Here is the link to where I bought it from. I will say that the easiest one to work on is the RM2, due to it having a ceramic base and only two posts. It has a lot of room to work as well. However, it would not make a good dripper, as it is a bottom feed. It would truly make a mess out of your PV if you tried to use it. I am seeing that the majority of the RBA's available today have three posts, so that people can build dual coils, but I do not do duallies. I am using basically 1.6 ohm using FC-116 wick on a micro coil. For me, cotton does not taste right with NETs. YMMV.

EDIT: You can get wick from this location. That is where I am going to be purchasing mine, when my samples are all gone. (Also, I use 30g Kanthal wire.)

While on the subject of Mountain Oak Vapors.. I loaded up 3 month steeped Southern Gentleman in the Kayfun Lite this evening. Damned if I didn't get a hint of Perique off the first hit. Never experienced that in the ProTanks before. I've always liked SG, but today..it's outta this world. So, off I go to MOV's site to look up their description of SG..

"Southern Gentleman™ starts off with a mix of Virginia, Latika, and Perique tobacco's that have been blended with an aromatic Amaretto that consists of Black Cavendish and Virginia Ribbon. We finish it off with a Tennessee Ribbon Burley and this blend becomes true to the name. It has a strong, present, and well rounded tobacco flavor that will not leave the enthusiast wanting."

 Enough said! Another win for the Kayfun Lite.

With all those ingredients, how can anyone pick them all out?

So, Kayfun or Igo of some sort? I'm very new to RBA/RBD and have had some in the past that have just ended up in the garbage. The Kayfun looks super easy to set up on Vaperev's sight.

I've been seriously considering trying RBAs/RDAs again as The House of Vapor 510 Stingrays really eat up some funds every month. Should I just bight the bullet and get one? Would it be easy to hawk in the classies if I don't give a shiz about it after a few tries (I'm an impatient .......)? Or shoud I just get a phoenix/Igo, etc? I have a Nembuis, but I don't know wt f to do with 3 posts.

Anyone want to trade my Nimbus ($65) for an equivalent 2 post RBA (dripper preferred)? Or any suggestions on what I should get as far as RDA, wire and wick? I'm assuming Ekowoll and 28G Kanthal, but I very well could be completely off base. Also, links would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks!!!

Kayfuns kick .... get the Kayfun Lite if you're going to get one.

Thanks for that link Anthony, sounds like a good watch. I'm going to check it out tonight.

Shatner, your Nimbus will be as easy to set-up as any other dripper. You don't need to use all the posts, just the center which is the positive and pick either negative post. If the Nimbus has multiple airholes, cover all but one up, the airhole will point right at the coil. Also, since you're going from disposable atties, I'd suggest checking out the small rebuildable drippers such as the IGO-S or A6 at EmpireMods.

Here's a link to a thread I made with a bunch of videos from ECF members on making micro coils.

So I'm ready to get the Igo-L form OKCVapes. But they are currently out of 1, 2 and 3 mm Solid Ekowool. Is hollow Ekowoll ok to use? Like 1.5mm and double it up? I want to buy from one vendor and if that's not possible, :censored:.

I used hollow Eko and it worked great. You can double it up if you want, I never did. I much prefer cotton though now that I've tried it, a couple dollars for organic cotton balls that will last me a lifetime.

How much cotton do you use??

Also 1.5mm or 3mm hollow Ekowoll? This is :censored: confusing. No damn wonder why I gave up on this :censored: long ago.

You know what? :censored:. I've already bought my monthly allotment of House of Vapor Stingrays and I'm getting ready to move on Friday. I don't need to be spending money on something I'll most likely throw out the damn window like the other 100 RBAs I've bought.

Such a small amount on a micro. I've done around 15 or so and I'm still on the first cotton ball, with 79 more in the bag. More commonly used is sterilized rolled cotton sold at a CVS pharmacy, but the organic cotton balls is what I found and it works, still want to try sterilized though. If you watch Xobeloot's video that I posted in that thread I linked it shows how I do the cotton. Most of the other videos show how they do the cotton too.

You'll probably want to wait to try RBAs again when your more willing to tackle the learning curve. After figuring it out it's as easy as can be, but patience is needed to get there.

All this talk about them gets me curious then I realize I DGAF about rebuildables and everytime I get one it ends up in the trash. Including my eBarrons and the cheaper crap. I have a Nimbus that I don't know what I'm going to do with. It almost ended up in the trash yesterday while I was cleaning in preperation to move.

Don't know what it is, but I get excited about RBA/RDAs until I get them in my hands. I work with tiny :censored: springs all day in cramped spaces (in firearms). The last .......ned thing I want to do in my free time is :censored: with a :censored: RBA. In fact, I took mighty pleasure in shooting my Z-atty pro surrounded by 50lbs of Tannerite with a 50bmg out of a Barrett.

I don't know why the :censored: I keep buying that :censored:

Totally off topic (I apologize) but I did not want to start a new topic for personal reasons but need expert opinions (where else could I turn?).

Pluid - is this like vaping NyQuil with licorice to anyone else besides me?

That was EXACTLY how I described it when I had some. It's best in genny type devices.
