Ok. Ok. I accept and understand that many of you don't taste nut in SC or smoke in A+ Burleys. Taste is subjective. I know this is going to be hard for you all to come to terms with, but contrary to what your palates tell you, Beam 8 Star is NOT a FINE sipping whiskey! :)

Papa, in regards to SC, I can tell you that if I was forced to pick between only vaping fresh SC and unflavored, I'd likely choose unflavored. Now, I'd also likely choose well aged SC (4+ months--I know it looks crazy) over practically any other liquid (if I had to). I say put that bottle away and see what blossoms in the spring.

That's the plan. Plenty of other juices stored to hold me over. Plus I've begun extracting some of my own, which as I'm the extractor I'm sure will be excellent. Even if it ain't, I'll vape it anyway and insist it's the best I ever had. :)

Got a fresh wick going for some Maple Burley action. Damn fine NET, up there with SGP and Vurley as my favorite flavored aro. Also the first maple tobacco to click for me. Doesn't have that odd funky maple I've gotten from others, just a great maple flavor alongside a smooth and tasty Burley. Kind of an odd chemical scent to the juice that I've gotten from a couple other aros but doesn't transfer to the flavor when vaped.

I can't wait to get into my A+ aro's but I think I am going to give them one night with the tops off first. For now, I am just happy I am done studying for the night, and quietly enjoying Dover Court, Coventry, and Big Spirit to get my "taste" right for what I hope to be the ultimate - BGB and DD tomorrow. Gotta learn to ride with the training wheels on before I tackle the big boy bike :)

If Vurley was any indication, I bet I'm going to love them :vapor:

Vaping Fabulous & Burley from the River Bottom line. Like Vurley from Ahl, it's vanilla and Burley, but flavorwise is nothing like it. It actually reminds me a lot of Vermillion River's Vanilla Kentucky Blend. It's a light Burley with a nice mild vanilla. Very good flavor, but nothing revolutionary or extremely unique. I wish I had more Vanilla Kentucky from VR to compare it to, because it really is reminding me a lot of that juice.

LastTango, if you're reading this thread have you tried your RBFS juices yet?

I'm going to be reviewing a bunch of these in the near future. Have you tried anything else from the company?

He started a review thread in the General Eliquid Review sub-forum about his winning library of River Bottom Fog Sauce.

Not yet, but I also have Porch Rocker and Pirate's Drunken Sweet Tooth. I got them from Mann, so not sure how old they are or even the final versions?

I got them from the guy who makes them in August and sent some to Mann. Old enough that the Fabulous & Burley has calmed a lot. Porch Rocker tastes like a kind of Devil Dog Jr to me, and I think there might be a little anise in it.

You should hear the Mod Envy people talk about them. You'd think River Bottom invented extracted tobacco. Joe also insists they taste JUST LIKE smoking a cigarette.

Thanks for that info Cherry. Yeah, just to note then that my impressions of F&B are from a juice that is probably much tamer than people will get if they order it. While it was a tame vape, I still found it quite tasty. I might order it sometime, but wasn't wowed enough to want to jump on that.

Also, Mann only had a small amount for me to try, but I got the impression from that one session that it may be a fast gunker. It didn't take long to get a dirty coil taste, but I wouldn't claim that as a fact with such little data. I do have more of the others so will be easier to tell for sure.

Wonder if it tastes like VR's Vanilla Kentucky Blend to anyone else. Maybe it just gets that way after a long steep. Makes me not want to reorder it if it really is like that one because VR's is a lot cheaper and that was a pretty clean juice. Based on memory both the vanilla and tobacco seemed about the same.

I've never watched those mod envy guys, but from what I've heard they are basically a hype machine. I think even the makers of RBFS seem to think they invented the wheel while they are just entering a market that's been around a while. (These comments based on rumour and conjecture, I wouldn't stand by these comments as facts, but that still doesn't mean they are wrong :D ).

Joe posts a lot of...enthusiastic opinions to generate affiliate sales. While he does post some great deals, he also leads to some bad products and posts incorrect info because it's all about the sale for him.

The creator of RBFS was a nice guy. I enjoyed meeting him. But he told me with a straight face that his juices were better than Ahlusion's aromatics, which is insane.

Salesmen and shills. The world has an overabundance of such people.

Now, I have nothing against business. Commerce through the exchange of goods and services is the lifeblood of human communities, the lowest-common-denominator reason that people congregate into groups. Social tribe/family, camaraderie, and affection all matter, but business is the bottom line and where most group associations end up.

I don't, however, like hype. Not one bit. I don't trust hype as far as I can throw it. If someone wants to sell me something and tells me that it's The Greatest Thing Since Slice Bread, I'm out the door in a heartbeat.

Right from the get-go, the hype machine was cranked up for Foggy River Bottom Sauce NETs in a big way that immediately put me off. Not that the protest of closing my wallet makes a difference to anyone but me, but it's my small vote against arrogance, ignorance, or insincerity, or whichever combination of those dubious qualities happens to be pushing the over-the-top sales pitch.

Not trying to be the voice of reason or anything, but wasn't there a conversation earlier about the person making a juice automatically assumes it's the best?!

Cherry did say she spoke to the creator so obviously he would think his NETs are the best right?!

Now it's up to you guys to either uphold his claim or rip it down..

Hype only goes so far in the face of reviews from an expert panel of folks.

Personally, I don't understand the hype about sliced bread. Baguettes are far superior and can also be used as a weapon (when sufficiently stale).
