But the whole point was that the distinction implied was incorrect.

tobacco Absolute is extracted from actual tobacco leaves. It was implied that it was not extracted from tobacco leaves.

Essential oils are....essential in my opinion. It's never going to be even close to the tobacco experience without them. Tobacco tea vapors....weak.

Hybrids!:D
Sorry I chose the wording poorly. There has been a pretty good discussion of TA extraction in this thread. That is why I said we know what it is and where it comes from. I was trying to help a thread visitor was all I was doing........Sorry that offended you.

I wasn't offended, just clarifying.

New thread visitors are the ones which most likely haven't read any of the previous discussions about TA. All the most recommended dozen or so NETs have already been discussed over hundreds of pages, so I should be able to trot out my TA presentation every now and then when it comes up. It has a little new info each time.:)

Pics or it didn't happen. ;)

I get the impression from a lot of vapers in other threads that they're in awe of you guys. Some may be a little hesitant to join in the discussion because they lack the knowledge and experience of more advanced vapers. They are basically timid in regards to holding up their end of a discussion. Many here have experience with pipe and cigar tobaccos that newbies never came across.

I just tell them that the majority of posters to this thread are good folk and there's nothing to be timid about. Just jump right in.

Now, maybe one of you guys can help me with the name of a pipe tobacco from way back in the day, or maybe it's still around, I don't know.

In the 70 and 80's you could walk into any tobacco shop and there would be a rack of commercial pouch tobacco. There was Borkum Riff, Captain Black and pouches in purple, I think they were Dutch or maybe Scandinavian. Do any of you remember the name of that particular tobacco. Maybe the pouches were more wine colored than purple. Try as I may, I just can't bring the name up.

It's good. It's great. It takes months to receive from a certain someone along with several nudges in da rear-end with email version steel toed booties, but it is the real deal.

And No, I still haven't tried my TheWholeCig LLC 30 ml sample yet. Just sniffed it and it smells nutty.

Who wants to talk about WTA??

May I be the forth, fifth, or sixth to echo the same words J, beautiful daughter you have there. I mean it too, I'm the jerk who usually sees baby pictures and says; meh, looks like just another baby.

Glad to see you pop in, that "Turkish" is something else, just a brief taste so far, the 25mg packs a whallop. Seems flavorful enough I'm going to try diluting it a little with some glycerin, in a small bottle of course.

Edit: ok, upon re-reading even I found that joke disturbing, so playing it safe and editing it out.

Boomer, I can see why others may be timid, this is kind of a thread for people getting into a very specific part of the hobby, like RBAs. Of course, if someone is curious about it the best thing to do IS to jump right in like you say. That's what I did with RBAs. I was timid about the RA section because they were speaking a language I couldn't comprehend yet. I was ready to jump in though so I posted in the RA section that I knew very little about them and needed some help and guidance. This thread works great as a place for the enthusiasts to gab about their hobby, NETs, and as a place for the curious to become informed.

I was thinking last night just how specific this thread really is. To be curious about NETs you first branch from either eliquid or hardware, this being liquid. Then into type of liquid, this being tobacco. Then yet again into a specific tobacco, this being the naturally extracted kind. Very small niche topic in the ecig world that happens to be as deep and complex as anything else. So deep in fact that after reading 7000+ posts I still learn something new quite often.

Of course delving deeply into such a small niche has a result of some people making snap judgements that we are either elitists, geeks, lame, or crazy; but I think most look at us in a truer light, that we just are just enthusiasts of a niche hobby that most are indifferent to.

Perhaps, but I learned so much just from this thread. I never would have found such tasty's like Huntsman and Blondie. I put what I learned here into my DIY and I came up with some ADV's using Hangsen that I'm very happy with. Now I'm waiting on my first order of true NET's and I'm getting mighty rambunctious.

My guess is that this thread has a lot more lurkers than posters. Quietly learning and planning to mix the " Great #1 Recipe "

" but I think most look at us in a truer light, that we just are just enthusiasts of a niche hobby that most are indifferent to. "

Boomer, I saw you mention PURE "Smoke", have you tried it yet. So far I think I'm the only one who went gaga over it.

W2V never specifically said to me if I can share the info on the extract used in it, but they never said I can't either. So I won't re-post the email to me about it since I didn't get permission for that, but will say that those who speak French may very well be tasting an extract either the same or closely similar. So rdsok, your taste buds were on target. That same extract also may contain some traces of TA, which just may be the nastiness that enhances it for me.

I wasn't the one mentioning they thought TA was in Smoke actually.... I said something about Smoke ( the tobacco flavors in it to be specific ) tasting similar to Vaperstein's Paris and I think it was VaporMizer that mentioned a possible ( or likely, whichever ) link with TA in Paris. My comments were just that since I haven't got an educated enough of a palette ( yet )

Rd, I was referring to that you tasted Paris with Smoke and were right, nothing else.
