I was just looking at the labels on my bottles of NF....these are all from HDV...most just say, i.e. "NF Organic Coffee DIY Flavor"..
Only one bottle mentions extract, i.e. "NF Organic Caramel Extract DIY Flavor"

I might be confused now lol. Does "extract" imply it's more concentrated? I've read where we should be using the "Coffee Bean flavors" but now I'm not sure what I have since I didn't get any directly from Nature's Flavors website

Yea NF makes ordering for our needs quite confusing offering so many different formats of these. Its almost disheartening like SDH said I really wanted to like these but that undertone is just meh. I do love the Malt though and is great flavor for a ton of mixes. If anything I know I will need Malt in my stash.

Strange... I don't detect any aftertaste or undertone present in the 4 NF flavors I have.

Also, I'm quite sure that its the source that Virgin Vapor uses for their flavors, and have never noted any kind of underlying taste with theirs -- and I've pounded through quite a bit of their juices. Now I'm gonna be looking for some oddball flavor nonstop. :)

Every flavor I have is going to be play and see and do what can to improve or fix. I got key lime from the apprentice people this time and 5 other flavors since Good prophets was having a 50 % off sale DIY last week. The flavor source is important no doubt but I'm just going to play lucky and when, if I find one that does it for ME I'll be happiest. Happier doing my own mixes is good by me.

I have noticed some separation (white on the bottom) on the Danish flavoring. Is that normal?

I have serious white sediment on Cappucino a flavor I've had for six weeks built up at the bottom of the bottle and kept in the fridge as recommended on original containers. I don't know how normal it is as the other flavors do not have it but it is unsightly.

Any way to throw a picture of it here.

Wellmy melted wax undertone only comes in one of my mixes (of only 4, one of which is unvapeable but no melted wax undertone) I was hoping someone would know if it was a common element in cake batter, cotton candy, malty or Bavarian Creme alone. But when mixed might change. Ths is a little more complicated than I was "wanting" ha ha. But anyway. I'm happier now than when I was paying more for premade and was a lot less happy with those type purchases to boot. ( except ethan at vapelicious who i have had to divorce!) and Virgin Vaper had some and Aroma juice is moderate, easy enough to vape not oring not offensive just decent. Some of that premade stuff is just weak and so boring. It's like they are afraid to over do and assault anybody's taste buds with some thing ordinary or they over do it to get taste buds attention and it's too much.
I know I'm repeating myself here but it's worth repeating. Some of these so called vapeologists need to get serious if they are going to compete

View attachment 183639 Hope you can see it its in both bottles at the bottom

Yep, that is what mine looks like. White sediment looking substance in the bottom. Think I'm just gonna pour it out.

I have experienced the same chemical/undertone with the NF extracts I purchased. I only purchased 3. Kona cream, caramel creme and butterscotch. All share the same undertone. It is not fading away with steep time. Just my observation. I really wanted to like these flavors. I am going to add some sweet cream to these flavors to see if I can mask that undertone/chemical taste.

It sounds to me like you are describing diacetyl, which (I believe) is present in all the flavors you listed; it has a very distinct odor/flavor, and people have strong reactions to it either positively or negatively. I go ape-s*** for the stuff and would bathe in it if I could - many of my friends cannot stand it (one guy described the odor as "wet dog"). It doesn't steep out. Diacetyl is a butter/custard emulator & is present in most if not all of NF's creamy/buttery flavors. (That's why I like NF so much hehe). There are health concerns regarding this particular substance, so if you don't really like it I would just try other vendors for those kind of flavorings.

Just looked at my flavors today.

First off, my danish has the white powder in it too. I'm guessing all you guys with white powder refrigerated it like I did? In Tao's Co-op thread, he didn't say this one required refrigeration. I'm guessing some compound in it has a steep solubility/temperature curve. Basically, as you cool it down, something's dropping out of solution. Try letting it warm back up to room temp, or even heat it slightly, and shake it a bunch. Good chance it goes back into solution.

I've tried by nose to identify the flavors with diacetyl in em....I think these all do:
Butterscotch
English Toffee
Vanilla
Caramel
Bavarian Cream
Malt
Kona Cream
Caramel Cream

Sad that the malt seems to be buttery - sounds like it's getting rave reviews here, but I'm afraid of diacetyl...I might be wrong though, I keep sniffing them.

Haven't had time to mix/vape anything yet...
