at 70% VG the airflow is going to need to be closed down as much as possible, this will create more vacuum which in turns pulls more juice in to the wick. Did you prime the wick, this might help you. Have you tried taking a few hits without firing the coil to prime the wick?

Hope you get it figured out, nice tank.

I have the Nautilus. So far every coil/head has been bad. According to RipTripper on YouTube they have a 40% failure rate. Inside the head they have four wires. If they aren't placed properly it is not going to work well. All I get is thin vapor and a off taste. Havent been able to vape it any longer than 15 till it starts giving me a headache. I have 3 more to try in my blister pack and hoping I get at least one good head. According to the reviews, when they work right its a very good vape. Also, I'm going to try and get some replacements but on coils they may not do that. I already contacted them and all they said was to keep trying lol. Good luck

Mine does the same thing. If it's not a dry flavorless hit, it's flooded and gurgly. I'm gonna try a little bit more, but so far this thing is not impressive at all. I watched the videos, read the reviews, listened to the positive feedback this tank has gotten, but I just can't seem to replicate those results. My Evod actually works better then this thing.

Now mine is the same way. I'm getting burnt to gurgle. I thought it was just me after all the glowing reviews from EVERYONE! Guess I'll get a pack of coils. If they're the same, I'm gonna be ....... Hmmmm, I wanted what everyone else is experiencing and I'm not getting it :( I am relieved others are having the same experience as me though.

Recently got an aspire nautilus and its nothing but dry hits ever since. I've replaced the head twice...nothing. Tried air flow control wide open/ damn near closed and everything in between... still nothing. I'm running it at 3.7V and its a 70vg/30pg juice. Anybody else having this problem?

These may not be good for high VG juice. Many tanks do not play nice with the higher VG juices unless they are thinned out. I use 20-30% VG and get awesome vapor with these.

I hate that for you, John! These create my best vape to date. The flavor and vapor is darn close to dripping IMO I do hope that you get it worked out.

You should always fill your tank to full or close to it. Most tanks will not give you good results if you put a small amount of juice in them. The tank will not pressurize correctly is what I think the issue is with doing it that way.

Good luck to all of you. I have not had any issues at all with this tank or the coils. It may be because I do not use higher than 30%VG. I do hope that the folks here are able to figure out their issues and enjoy them as much as I do :)

Argh!

When i saw the review. As so many times before i thought "YES! FINALLY..." Ordered one express, and when it came in the mail.. filled it up and had THE BEST vape ever. Ran to my pc and ordered a backup. And more heads. Oh yeah this thing will fill my needs for evah!.

Uh oh. After a day on the first head.. a funky taste emerged. Okay dont worry lets change heads. (i use 60PG 40VG juice). I changed from the 1.6 to the 1.8. Oh yeah, the good vape is back!. 2 hours later.. DAMN funky semiburnt dry ."¤#%¤!... taste is back.. Ok lets not freak out.. (BUT I AM AAAAH! want the good hasslefree vape back!). Did my prayers 10 times and tried another head.. Funky taste right out from the pack NOOO!! (yes i let it sit for 10 mins, and prime 2-3 times). Alright where is that blister pack. Pop another head, lets go. Hmm 3.6 volts.. alittle weak. 4 volts. Yeah we are back. 30 mins later. No 4 volts cant handle it lets back down to 3.8. Nope 3.6. Trying to save this head 3.3. Yeah 3.3 works. Uh oh. 3.0 volts PLEASE DONT DIE ON ME. Dead.

In a desperation search on the forums and on youtube i found Rip Trippers vid on making cotton coil replacement for the Nautilus. Tried that.. WOW! okay, first time i fired that up.. AMAZING vape, i had to get my sunglasses and just lay down vaping. It was that good. 1 hour later. FUNKY TASTE. :(

I have tried every air hole setting. I usually find it best with the 2nd smallest one. It semes to wick just fine original/rebuilded. Anyway. Nautilus aint getting more of my time or money. If i want turkey bacon taste of my juice i'll go to the grocery store.

Swing and a miss again. (and theres been alot of these the past year. Im stuck on vivi's) But this is the first time i have to put something unopened in the "trash" bin next to the penelope, odysseus, the diver, the cobra.. jesus so many fail purchases)

:(

I have 3 Aspire Nautilus going throughout the day without any problems whatsoever...
running 1.6 ohm in two for what is about two weeks now and one 1.8 ohm for past 3 weeks
two have 65%vg 35%pg and one 100%vg e-liquids in them... great flavor and clouds very pleasant
Yes... I know... it's close to time to changing the heads... to new ones and rebuilding those old ones...gulp!

---- When I have heard them start to gurgle... and if that happens... I just turn them upside down
for at least a minute... turning them upside down
relieves the pressure and fixes that problem... and I go right back to enjoying vaping them...

Are you still getting good vapor production out of the heads even after weeks of use? I'm considering ordering one and am curious about how long the heads last. I dont have the cash to order spare heads at the moment so I'd have to get the most life I can out of the 2 that come with it until I can order more.

UPDATE to my adventures with the Nautilus. Seems that two full tanks through this have fixed all issues. Maybe it required a "break in" period? I dunno. At approximately 3ml of liquid in the tank, I put it on an iTazte SVD. Again all issues fixed. Maybe it wasn't happy on the Vamo V5, or the iTazte VTR, and simply wanted to be mounted to something different? I dunno. The SVD is using an Efest 18350 battery, vs the V5 and VTR using an Efest 18650 battery. Was this the reason for the different experience? I dunno. I changed my vape style to give a small little blow right before taking a drag, and never noticed any more gurgles. Maybe it needed that to regulate the pressure for the proper vacuum? I dunno.

Now, since I rinse all my tanks after two fills, I'm going to change the head, while the first one dries out after rinsing, and drop another flavor in. Will this cause my issues to start all over again? I dunno. Hopefully it doesn't, cause when the Nautilus works right, it works really really well. However, when the Nautilus doesn't work right, it really really doesn't work right. Doesn't seem to have an in between to it.

On a side note, I have tested on each airhole setting, and can report all is good. Again... why? I dunno.

I wish I could tell you what exactly it was that made my experience do a 180, but alas... I dunno. What I do know is, I have posted all the info I have concerning what I have done to get it working super duper all spiffy and stuff. Hope it may help some of you out.

I don't have a clue why you were having issues either Keeferes, but I'm glad to see you got it solved. It's been such a great tank for me it's disheartening to hear it was not working well for you. Hope you continue to have a good vaping experience with it like so many others have. Whatever you did... keep on doing it!

Mr. There are really only a handful of us who have problems. From what I've seen and read, it's not very common. That's why I was working so hard to find this experience everyone else has. I think I found it, and I'm glad I didn't just throw this in the giveaway drawer.

Glad it's working better for you. I'll keep what you said in mind if I have any problems with mine that is supposed to arrive Friday. Are you getting a good life span out of the coils before the vapor starts to diminish? I just ordered a 5 pack of replacement coils for it too so hopefully I'll get decent life out of them and I'll be set for a while. It seems to me like a lot of my clearos have great vapor production with a fresh head but it seems to start to drop off pretty fast. Hopefully the Nautilus is better. What method have you used for cleaning the heads and how has it worked for you? I wonder if anyone's tried a dry burn on these yet...Thanks for your time!

I haven't gone through any heads yet. Only ran two tankfuls through it. I rinse my tanks and heads after after every second fill. So far I only use very hot water from the tap. I have good water at my house, so that's why I don't use distilled. A little ocd, but keeps things nice and clean and saves me from the time of long soaks and deep cleanings. My kanger heads, I seem to get a couple weeks out of with this method, so hoping for the same with these. I know it really didn't answer your question, but it's all I got. Lol.
