I write to you nicotine deprived and frustrated. My tesla pooped out on me today and I have no clue why. It was working when I went to sleep. Woke up rushing to go to work and in the car I noticed It wasnt working. Changed the batteries and the same thing was still happening. Upon screwing in the bottom the tesla logo came up on screen as normal, then a v 2.0 came up followed by the voltage of my batteries which is odd, then a fully lit white screen(which it normally doesnt do). Then after repeated clicking of the firing button, nothing. Would not turn on at all. I had the tesla about 3 weeks to a month and it died. This is my third mod ive gone through in about 9 months i would say. 2 vamo's had the threads stripped and after that decided to get a tesla.
Are there any mods that are really tanky, can take a beating and are reliable. I would prefer something that is variable wattage/voltage but at this point I just need reliability. The only mod that comes to mind is the silver bullet, but I was just wondering what you guys are using, and If you have any friends that have a durable reliable mod you could recommend. Thank's for taking time out of your day to read this post and any help would be much appreciated.

The Innokin VTR is a heavy beast. Seems incredibly durable. I originally didn't think I wanted a Box Mod, but now it is my favorite form factor.
SVD is a tube that has also performed well for me.
I haven't abused either one, yet, but they have both performed flawlessly for me.
Both are VV VW and modestly priced in my opinion. Great Value!

I really try to avoid being one of the group that always says this but you did mention reliability over bells and whistles. for ultimate toughness and durability there is only one -
ProVari
surviving 20 foot drops, bouncing down the road and being run over is a regular day for a ProV, look around, you find very few threads actually talking about issues beyond "so what tank should I buy?"

You seem to have an ongoing problem - Mod abuse.
Over tightening eventually does permanent damage including 510 failure and shorting to many Mods.

If you cannot take care of your gear, buy from a company that can.

Provari + warranty = You break it, they fix it.

Keep an Ego or 2 just in case.

And no, I don't:)

One of the reasons I bought a Provari as my first mod is that it has a great reputation for durability, a great warranty, and the local shop I bought it from will handle the repair process for me if anything does go wrong (and if available they'll give you a loaner). It's a lot more up front, but that was easy to justify since you're not replacing it constantly.

Just sayin'. If that's not your thing hopefully you'll get some good suggestions from other folks. :)

Thanks a lot for the suggestion's. I am very rough of mods, and I didn't even think about going the provari way due to the fact that last time i checked they much more expensive. They are well in my price range now and dont mind dropping a few extra bucks if it will last. Thank you for the help and if any others have more mods to recommend, This has definitely helped me out and may help a few others as well.

well you might want a mechanical mod as a backup ! i have yet to break one lol !!!

get something simple and cheap like the natural or magneto..... trust me you can drop it all you want a natural wont break !!

with a mech as a backup you wont have to worry when you main mod breaks !

i once dropped my natural out of my pocket from a carnival ride 30ft in the air !!! it hit the black top at terminal velosity and suffered only a deep scratch !!!!

A vote for the Silver Bullet, tough as all get out and simple to use. Cheaper than a Provari. Plus, if something does go bad you can get the Silver Bullet rebuilt for $10.00 as opposed to $65.00 for a new board for the Provari. If you are inclined for low ohm vaping the Silver Bullet will do lower ohms than the Provari.

Two of the first five mod I bought still work (One mechanical / One variable). After a year of break-downs; now using "The Roller" equipped with a "Fogger V3". No plans to buy another mod/atomizer till 2015... 2016... Let's just run till retirement and maybe the employer will give me a gold mod.

I've seen Zmax's and Vmax's, Ego's and so on all die untimely deaths! The VTR seems nice, but it's way too heavy for me to want to carry around all day and I have to wonder about it's durability as it's still new on the scene.
The REO is great, the Silver bullet is great (I have it's little brother the BB and can attest to it's build first hand!) but for me the Provari won out.
I've been known to walk into vape shops, remove my tank and throw it on the floor when asked about it's durability! I even managed to kill mine, left a carto tank on too long and the juice corroded the board, cost me $7 in shipping, fixed free and back in a week! I can set it on my welding table and run 180 amps through the table, it doesn't care! It's been out moving snow with me in 5 deg weather, and 120's last summer, didn't care! My Iphone shut down, but the Provari still worked like a champ!
There are two Provari's on the forum that I'm aware that have died completely, one lost a battle with a lawn mower, and the other was destroyed in a house fire. Not a bad track record if you ask me!
