This is a good buy if you want to try 510 but will need a new charger. You can not use the v2 charger with 510 equip. After awhile you really get used to the longer batteries. I started with V2 and after awhile the constant charging becomes a pita. I will only buy 510 equip now as it is much more versatile. You can usually buy from any vendor and take advantage of sales.ElectronicStix.Com · Joye eGo Twist 1000 mAH

Hi there, I've been on a bit of a starter kit shopping spree myself lately. I first brought the kanger e-smart set; great little kit, and no larger than a cigarette in size. Only trouble is the clearomizers aren't re-build able, and IMO disposable clearomizers aren't much of a step up from cig-a-likes, a
Though to be fair, it produces a good drag, and the clearomizers lasted a solid 2 and a half weeks of pretty heavy vaping. But then I realized it'd be far more economical to get a rebuildable e-cig, so I just got a Evod set from myepack.com on the recommendation of a member of this site. The build quality is just really impressive, in stainless steel (other colours available), and it came with charger, 5 spare wicks. As a newbie to this scene, I'd recommend this kit to anybody; it's simple, sturdy, very well made, and very simple to operate/maintain-all very important things in a cig. Also, it's high degree of compatibility has made it an economical choice for me; I'm planning to get the 1000 batteries in the future.

Btw, is there an adaptor for the E-smart that'll allow it to take ego type tanks? I'm not sure the exact thread name; I think it's 801 though I could be wrong there.

That's why I was recommending the 400 mAh Spinner. If you get 2 and an adapter for your V2 cartridges, then you'll be just fine, and can fine tune your vape with the variable voltage capabilities.

Vision Spinner VV battery - [No CN/UK airmail][2013 NEW] Vision Spinner Mini 400mAh eGo Variable Voltage Battery

If you like your cartos, then just get two mini spinners, a charger, and an adapter, and you'll be set!

You just need to decide what is best for you, and decide what you really want. Again, this kit seemed like a steal.

ugh, Ruby! I completely forgot you said there was a 400mAh spinner! I'm going to try to find the dimensions on that one. IF I went with a VV, someone would definitely tell me how to work one! All I know about those types is that there is different ohm (for the tanks? right) and I don't have the first clue about that.

Would that adapter ( http://www.v2cigs.com/products/universal-adapters-2pack#.UuB9gRDnbIU ) work?

Yes!!! That adapter from V2 (the type 2) would work no problem! There are a few folks here on ECF that really like small, non-cig-a-like setups, and they really like the 400 mAh Spinner. The VV is so easy. You CAN adjust it based on the Ohms of your carto/atty but most folks just adjust it to taste. Start low, and work your way up, very slowly, until you find a vape that you like without burning your carto. Be sure to search around ECF for other variable voltage discussions. It's not hard at all, just a little dial to turn to fine tune your vape. Easy Peasy!

lol, see, this is why I NEED you Ruby lol.... Idk why, but I didn't even think about that (the round part), I wouldn't have bought from ebay, but I haven't seen it anywhere else yet (it was late so I gave up pretty soon after finding that last night). I was really just curious, but you're so right, definitely needs a flat bottom to keep them upright!

What about my first option? The Esmart Kangertech Esmart Black electronic cigarette - It says it's compatible with 808D Cartos, which means it should work with my current Cartos (I think), still cute and small. Someone said something about the tanks being disposable though, can someone tell me if there's a good tank to go with it?

Jason at Vape Escape showed me these. I thought they were refillable.

Esmart Kit [VE530] - £29.95 : Vape Escape

Those are 510, but I think there are KR808 too. (?)

However, having investigated (on my phone, on a break :) ) they are not rebuildable so should be seen as disposable.

Do you think they're good? Someone recommended it to me, but since then everyone else has only talked about the ego. From that link I added, if you go down to what the kit includes it says:
The Kangertech E-smart kit comes with the following :

2 x 320mah high capacity manual batteries with 808D-1 threading
2 x 1.3ml empty clearomizers
1 x eSmart USB Charger
1 x AC to USB wall adaptor
1 x Instruction Manual

IMG_20140123_074134.jpg This is what I keep calling my ego (again, it's a knock off), it's 5 & 3/4" long and just a little over 1/2" wide. It actually seems pretty small to what I've been seeing, but it's bigger then what I want to be carrying around!

Something like iTaste VV V\3 or if you could stand an 18350 size regulated device the Cool Fire is a nice shorty mod.

There are also 10400 and 14500 battery mechanical mods that are much slimmer and trimmer, but can be fairly spendy, and harder to find Titanide Themis This ones a beauty, but it is high end.
