@Baditude – If you don’t mind me asking, why the preference with the 30Q over the HG2? The majority of my cells are HG2’s simply because this is the most common battery here in Canada. We seem to like our brown batteries over pink. I do own a triple set of married 30Q’s (and HG2’s) that I use in my Triade mod @ <70 watts. Subjectively I cannot tell the difference in output between the pinks and the browns. However, I feel the browns have a much better life span. Again, this is a subjective observation for I have not taken the time to record the differences.

BTW – your above post on battery specs is worthy of repeating. Good job!

For myself I get more cycles from the 30q than the HG2, performance day to day was the same. I went with VTC6 for longer run time and I do get about half a day added to run time. But I have sacrificed # of cycles. Hopefully since they run longer the replacement time will equal out in the end, 18-24m down the road.

My answer is the same as Letitia's. Day to day performance between the HG2/30Q was too close to tell, but the overall life cycle of the 30Q has been longer. I've not used a Sony VTC6 so I can't comment on them per personal experience.

@Letitia So number of cycles refers to the total life span of the battery? IE: you get 100 charges from a 30Q vs 80 charges from a HG2 (Just made up numbers for the sake of this conversation.). I do date my batteries but do not keep track of the charging cycles.

@Baditude - Thanks :thumb:

Yes, cycles=overall life. I don't keep track of the number of cycles but do mark when I put each pair in use and I rotate pairs evenly while in use. Regardless of performance I order new batteries every 18-24m and replace all batteries then. The HG2 started dropping off around the 18m mark while the 30q were still fine at 24m, still took them out of rotation at 24m anyway. I don't really get battery stuff so prefer the safe route. When you figure in life our batteries are pretty cheap.

Ok thanks for the recommedations, now I have another issue, I have my innoking proton mod turned on, but the new Freemax Mesh pro tank I put in, says check atomizer, I made sure everything is tight,I am sureit user error, not sure how to fix it. single mesh coil .15 ohms (40-70 w).
Should be SNUG, not overly tight.

Check your user's manual for an explanation for the display error, "Check atomizer".

Check to insure you haven't over-tightened the tank onto your mod. This can push the 510 center pin into the mod so that it can no longer make an electrical connection.

The coil may have been cross-threaded when you screwed it into the tank base. Disassemble and try again. There may also be a short in the coil; try another one. Coil should be snug, not tight.

It was mentioned in a review th Proton 510 doesn't have much of a throw, try unscrewing the atty slowly while watching the screen. Guessing you have it screwed on too tight.

I wanted to update that it was somehow some juice that was in the bottom where it contacts the mod I cleaned it all up and it worked. However, not liking the tank so far as I feel out of the box the uwell nanchaku gave so much flavor. This is not doing it for me so far. I may have to give it another shot or try with another flavor.

Also, can I return the mod, it’s just way too much for me. I like the simplicity of the nanchaku, no changing ten thousand things. Adjust wattage and you are good to go. I doubt myvapor store will take it back.

I can't see that they would agree to take back a the mod since nothing is wrong with it. Might try to sell it or some shops will do a trade but either way you'll eat a loss now that it is a used device. If you keep the proton in wattage/power mode you only adjust wattage plus gain run time. No more complex than the nunchaku really if left in power mode.
