Equipment: Vamo V2, stacked 18350's and AGA T2

I've always tried to make my coils in the low 2's (2.0,2.2 etc. at between 6.5-7.5 watts) and had no where near the vapor production the I've seen in videos. I honestly gave up on the AGA (because of hot spot issues)but last night decided to give the "drill bit/plastic Q-tip method" a shot and voila!! Little to no issues comparatively. Late today I had a slight burnt taste so I went to poking and prodding and got the hot spot gone but was reading near 4 ohms!? I jacked the watts to 10 I think and BOO-YAH!? Looked like was doing a YT How To!

Could I be doing something wrong (possibly even hitting it wrong? I prefer the draw on a vape Only BCC these are WAAAY lighter?) Do I need to build a higher ohm coil (most videos use Mechs if I remember correctly?)

As always TIA this is without a doubt the best community of any kind!

What was the ohm of this particular coil when you made it? Did I understand you correctly that this coil started out around 2 ohm and now is reading 4 ohm?
I believe it was at 2.2? It went to 4 after some poking to remove a hot spot. Vaped it at that for a bit then was reading 9.9 so I did a quick check of things and center post was real loose. Sitting at 2.4 ATM...

One thing you didn't mention is airflow. In my experience, increasing your airflow will have a more dramatic effect than many if not any other factors (such as wattage increase, wick build etc.) when it comes to vapor production. Try drilling that aga out to 1/16 and go from there. Try some lung hits and experiment mixing with mouth hits in one pull. My 2 cents!

That's what I was talking about. To me the AGA too airy as it is. The Vape Only is a real "tight" pull.

It would take roughly 3.66" of 32 awg in your coil to get 4 ohms so I'm thinking a bad connection either at the wire terminals or where the T2 threads into your Vamo. I've read of several products that can have the center post in a carto or clearo be pushed in if threaded too far on to the device which can lead to a poor connection. Most center posts are press fit into an insulator and will move if threaded too tight onto the pv. A center post that is just barely contacting the battery terminal will jack up the ohm reading.:2c:

I've got two AGA T2's. I try to make my coils around 2.0 ohm, too. I've had issues with "wander ohms syndrome" I call it. Resistance sometimes climbs to 3.5 ohms.

Check the thumbs screw on the center post -- it tends to want to get loose. When that fails, poke and prod the individual coils to make sure they are evenly spaced, and adjust the wick in or out, or bend it slightly toward the center post. This generally has gotten the resistance back to where it's supposed to be. Also do some dry burns periodically to burn off any chard from the coils from burnt juice accumulation.

Part of your coil looked nice and shiny like it wasn't contacting the wick toward the bottom half. The upper half looked like it had more juice on it. Just a thought, may just have been the lighting in the video.

I don't think you have to worry about draining 2 18350 batteries unless you chain vape all day long. I get over a day from 1 18650.

Crank her up and enjoy! :vapor:

I find my battery drain faster on low ohm coils than I do on high ohm coils. I am using an EVIC. I find that a coil around 2 ohms give or take a little is the best for me. Even possibly a high 1 ohm coil 1.5-1.8 seem to work well. I did get a 1.0 ohm coil to fire on an EVIC, but that drew the crap out of my battery and had random atomizer short alerts. I am relatively new with my aga-t though. 3.6 seems a little high IMO and you might be working your system harder to get good vapor production.
