I'm not big into drippers. But my favorite is Magma. But the darn thing is so heavy and bulky. I'm looking to get something light weight, and smallish for some of the smaller VW devices I currently use tanks on. Something similar to Derringer. Or maybe Mini Freakshow. I'm not familiar with either of these... just window shopping at Kidney Puncher. Any suggestions ?

I don't mean to hijack your thread or anything but I too am looking for a small/simple RDA. I have 2 x Kayfun v4 and 2 x Provari (P3 and Classic) and I've been trying a lot of juices lately, it's a total pain in the ... to fill up a Kayfun v4 only to discover that I hate the taste after a couple hits and then disassemble it completely to clean it out and rewick it only to do it all over again. That's definitely getting old! Thought getting a dripper might make the whole process a lot easier / less time consuming during the disassembly and cleaning.

Does the Cyclone that was linked above come in any other finishes? And does it use a standard 510 drip tip? I didn't see that information while checking it out at MVS.

Thanks guys (and gals!)

The Derringer is about as small as it gets. For kicks I decided to get out my Magma and clean and rebuild it last night, havent used it in a couple months. After about 30 minutes I was back to the Derringer. I'm still considering a Freakshow though. There's a B&M close to my house that has em for $25, I just hope they're legit knowing how stores usually mark things up compared to online shops..

I have 3 derringers, a mini freakshow and an atomic.
I would suggest the derringer or freakshow just for juicing purposes. The atomic doesn't hold a lot of juice and you will be constantly dripping. I have mine built at .4 with 26g wire that could be the problem lol :)
All of the above are excellent attys.

MVS also has the cyclone in gold. Gold Cyclone AFC by Vicious Ant

It takes a standard 510 (what I use). VA does make the "fusion" drip tip which goes around the outside, but is not required.

I was the biggest Derringer fanboy until i got my Samurai Bonsai RDAs... hands down slaughter the derringer in terms of flavor, ease of build, and options. I bought one of each of the two clones out on the market right now... the 1:1 and the the one that is 1:1 but the top "ring" is a few millimeters taller (and has a different insulator style).

You get that intense flavor because it's just as small as the derringer... but then everything else you get is so much better. I'm actually liking the clone that is a tad taller as it just seems to help the flavor for some reason. It comes with two "shower" caps, one short (pictured) one taller and the traditional top styled section that fits regular drip tips.

I wont be ordering an authentic as i prefer the "taller" clone over the 1:1; however, you simply can't go wrong with either clone or authentic.

I also have a Vertex Jr. on the way as soon as the first batch is delivered. Looks to be another amazing micro-RDA. Super excited to get it in my hands. You'll be able to find them in the usual online retailers by around early June.

I think OP will be happy with either a Derringer or a Freakshow Mini. I've used both and from my experience, the correct build is really the key to a satisfying vape. The RDAs themselves aren't that much different.

When I first got my Freakshow mini a few weeks ago, I did a Caterpillar build with dual 24awg A1 + 28awg, 4 wraps around a 2mm drill bit. The problem with that build was it came out too big. The wicking had problems and the flavor wasn't that great. I experimented a little and eventually modified the first build to wrap around a 3/64 drill bit, with a smaller finished coil, and the result was a dramatic change with intense flavor and large amount of vapor. It's the build I still use today:

I just got my freakshow mini yesterday and it's freakin killer. If you like the magma I think this would be a good choice since it has a similar type of airflow. I scooped an authentic on ebay for 20 bucks free shipping, really can't go wrong for that price.

I agree. Freakshow Mini is similar to Magma in design. Just slightly taller than Derringer, shorter than Hobo. It's very light, and the fins make this RDA runs cold. My only complaint is driptip hole appear to be slighty larger than 'standard' and 'shallower'. Many of my driptip doesn't fit snugly or little bit too protruding inside. Feels like slightly choke my draw. Also, the driptip 'pad' is made of Delrin, not PEEK.

Oh wow! The vertex JR. got my eye. I'd like one in bottom feed.

I asked Chowderhead about modding it for bottom feed. He said he would take them as send ins but wasn't going to be ordering them himself and selling. I'm going to wait until US vendors get the Vertex Jr. because when I messaged MCM about it on Facebook I was told it would be $59 to ship to the US and the atty only costs $63.

Snowblind - did you get those Bonsai from Angelcigs or FT?

Oh and Vertex Jr? Yes please.

Both AngelCigs and FT. The Angelcigs ones are the ones with the slightly taller top "ring" that mates with the drip tip sections. The FT are the shorter, more 1:1 attys. Funny enough i actually much prefer the slightly taller Angelcig ones... they offer just a tiny bit more room for my preferred 3mm coils and dont heat up as fast... but deliver the same intense flavor/vapor. Super super satisfied with the Bonsai... it's replaced my Derringers on my two daily boxes!

And yeah... cant wait for my Vertex Jr. to come in... thing looks awesome!
