I gave my wife a beautiful polished SS with brass accents Mini Nemesis. Unfortunately I cannot find a 17mm RDA or tank to top it. She's using it with an Igo-L but it looks like a skinny kid with an oversized football helmet! Can you suggest something that fits flush and looks good on it?

Not 1:1. I think. Should a 3d fit on it in hybrid mode without any other adapters?

As bsoplinger said, it fits perfectly on most clones. I've got three nemmys and my 3D clone fits like a glove on all three—not much point in hybridizing the 3D tho, at least for looks, as its unusual heigth defeats the shortening effect of the direct coupling. Wish there was some other RDA that could be coupled directly to a nem.

PS, I also have a Dome genny which is designed as a hybrid RTA for the nem, but I really don't like gennys that much. Got it as a must try but they're a hassle to build and the mesh taste takes a month of vaping to subside. Of course, once the wicks are "cured" they're good for, like, forever... :D Just rinse and refill. The 3D is OK but it's like on level five or six below other RDAs. The ones I like tops are the Helios, the Origen, the Trident, the Igo W2 and the Storm-A.

2nd PS, exnihilo, that's a dandy nemmy. Is that one the FASTTECH SKU 1493800? I've been ogling it, as it looks beautiful but how is its quality?

I can personally speak to the quality from FDV. I have used the magnets for a few months now. First set lasted me 4 months until a hard fall....but that kind of damage would destroy any magnets. I got some new ones about a week ago and no complaints. Additional suggestion: get the ultimate upgrade kit from fat daddy...makes the throw so much better!

That's why FT stopped selling them in pairs and went for the 10x package. Besides, if you heed the FatDaddy switch fix porcedure, you need three magnets, two on the bottom part and one next to the delrin.

Thanks a bunch!

There's also the mini Kayfun but that's 14 or 15 mm.

Yeah, and no, they look awful.

I'll check the DID and mini gen.

PS, just did. There's not much of a variety. I think that I'll turn one myself on a lathe.

I'm a mechanical engineer but have been working in management for the last 40 year so I'm no longer proficient with a lathe, but a diving & photo aficionado buddy owns a large metal-mechanic machinery factory and has all kinds of computerized metal works. I've seen him design and manufacture a lens adapter for a Leica so making an RDA will be child's play for him once I show him a few as models.

I'll go for something very simple that my wife can fit with premade coils (by me) wrapped around a toothpick and ready to slip on drilled posts —maybe even slotted ones with a knurled trapper nut– so she just slips a silica or cotton wick after installing. Slotted posts will allow easy placement of the coil just above the juice well level.

It will need to be a single coil design, due to size and non-mechanically inclined intended user; with side mounted posts and a deep well, ready to hold some 3ml of juice. I like the AFC of the Trident but it's too fussy. I think I'll go for something ultra clean like the Igo-L bell, just in 17mm ⊘ and with a 2mm air vent.

Already drooling about the project! :D

Diver: get a hybrid adapter, costs like 2 bucks from fasttech, work great and lowers vdrop n shortens length, with any atty.

Hi Tbev, I've got one that works great with my Kayfuns (the 3.1 kind, still looking for a way to hybridize the lites). However, how's that about «work great and lowers vdrop n shortens length, with any atty»? What attys have you attached with that adapter?

I'm assuming you refer to this one: FASTTECH SKU 1662400. I also have the other one (ordered it first because it's always in stock) but it's a piece of ill designed crap.

The first one you linked is specifically designed for the Kayfun full not lite and 3.1 versions. The second is for any atomizer. The delrin disc and 2 small brass pieces are for problem atomizers with recessed or flush 510 connector center pins.

I don't know if it fits or not because it's not 1:1 clone, but if the size of the tube diameter and threads are the same it might fit i think

True, sorry, I should mention that I did try, and the Nemmy tube was just a tad too wide. Don't know if the tube is too wide, or the 3d is too narrow, lol. O'well, live and learn!

Thanks for the info! I got this one off of 88evape. It is a beautiful mod, I'll give it that. And the Nemmy in-and-of itself is very well thought out. Love the features. The threads were pretty smooth, but response well to a good cleaning.

I solved that for some nippled ..650s that I have and that just don't fit without the beuty ring in a sllightly different manner:

First, convert your nemmy to magnets but use four; two under and two over.

Second, you need a slightly lengthened rice pin. You can do that out of a piece of wire or even a large "butterfly" paper clip. Just cut the proper length with a mm to spare and shorten with a fine file.

Next find a a small oring that can be slipped in the knurled screw and fits between this and the lengthened rice pin and place it between the threaded post and the knurled screw. Now you have a working switch that doesn't leave a gap and acommodates a slightly taller battery (button or nipple type).

I'm going to try this tonight. My issue is that the vtc5 fits but the firing pin does not make complete contact with the battery which is causing a black circle to appear on the bottom of the battery. My old pins came with the clone and it was getting bad so I upgraded to copper pins and it was working better but now some black spots are forming on that too. And when I make the bottom pin come out a bit more, I get misfires here and there. This morning I pressed down on the button and it was connecting but the 2nd time I pressed down, it went in like it was supposed to and I can tell it made a better contact because it got warmer quicker and the vape coming out of the atty was crazy. Once I get that fixed, then I can't complain about the mod.

That's too bad bro cause the 3d is a nice RDA and it looks really sleek with my nemesis (look at the picture at first post).
