I know it's some sort of code block. I have no idea what kind of code, though. I've been coding in Ansi C, C++, C#, Java and basic scripter code for 6 years, not to mention XML, Javascript, CSS, HTML, ASP.net and pretty much any other web language there is.. I'm familiar with unix, perl, and mySQl.... I've even done some binary coding.. and that don't look like any kind of code I've ever seen.

I can't think of a single coding platform where ---------- constitutes a comment line.

Alright, so my geekiness:

I've been playing MUDs since I was 10.

I own all three playstations, and original nintendo, an N64, a Sega Genesis, a Super Nintendo, a Nintendo DS lite...atari, of course.. some other no-name consoles..

I have an MP3 player that's shaped like a Nintendo controller.

I know how to code in many languages. (+10 geek points)

I've played AD&D more times than I'd like to admit.

I've played Everquest, WoW, Lineage.. pretty much any fantasy game. If the race 'elf' is a choice, I'll play it.

90% of my friends, online or off, call me 'Sallana'. My real name is Lynne..

Hmmm, O.K.

I repaired my first computer when I was 12, and I mean broke out the soldering iron, some solder and repaired a broken connection on the joystick port. (Comodore 128)

I started playing Dungeons and Dragons when is was still the basic edition (in softback) and there were only three modules available.

I have programed (in my youth) in binary, basic, base 8, Hexidecimal, and html.

I'm a member of "The Temple of the Jedi Order" in good standing, and have progressed to the point where I'll be accepted to apprenticeship for knighthood before long.

I build my own lightsabers, complete with polycarbonate blade that lights up and can be used in combat. (rated for use agains wooded martial arts weapons.)

I mod video games, specificaly I've taken a star wars version of Freelancer and changed the timeline, added ships and even entire new systems and bad guys.

I think all I'm missing to get the Geek/Nerd Eagle Scout badge is speaking Klingon or Elven.

Forgot to add that I've acted in Renn Fairs, gone to SCA events and gaming conventions, and long for the chance for a Comicon!!!!

Although some of my nerdiness has left, I was a state champion mathlete, golf team member, mineral processing metallurgy engineering student, and love math so much I reject CAD (computers stifle the creative mind!) and still draft by hand. I played D&D until....lets say I had a lot of fun in college! My best friend and I have played video games together every Friday for 29 years until the wee hours of the morning, starting on the Trash-80's and Compaqs and Ataris until today with the PS3. The pathetic geeky part is we do Rock Band and Guitar Hero sometimes and I (shudder!) sing, old men trying to recapture youth -- well, maybe its just sad and not really nerdy:lol:.

That being said, Karr still is leading!

I see this thread is more popular than I thought it would be,lol

Can you make one that vapes? My son would love to get one of those for his birthday! I can buy the stuff and ship it to you.

I can't do all the coding stuff you guys can but I do love my video games, always have since I played the very first Legend of Zelda and Super Mario games back 25 years ago. We used to go to Gamestop so much that when we slowed down going they called to make sure I was alright, lol They had seen me go thru a lot of surgeries, but I would still be in there in my wheelchair picking out games, lol

Since my accident I have worn out a Game cube, a laptop computer, a PS, PS2, 2 regular gameboys, one desktop computer, an Xbox and an Xbox 360. I currently still have a Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 (we actually have 5 of those in the house), my current Desktop. Collectively we have 5 computers (only 4 people live here) PS2 x 2, PS3, 2 other Nintendo DS's, A DS Lite (mine) a whole bookshelf that is nothing but games. All of my stuff is wireless so all I have to do is lay back in my bed and play or do something on my computer. I actually have the nerd's dream set up. I'll take a picture when I find my quilt. I think it's hiding with the printer cables and the stool, lol I have USB cables for everything so I can charge them with my Kensington power pack.

Oh, I know just enough coding to change a CSS code but not enough to write one of my own. That reminds me. I need a code.

I need to be able to click on this picture and it take you to the PIF main page. Pay It Forward - E-Cigarette Forum I Used to know it but have since developed a case of CRS so I need help, pretty please.

The first computer program that I wrote was for a Vic20. That was back when Basic had line numbers and all graphics consisted of hundreds of pokes and peeks. :p

Oh, and I can sing every song from the Wizard of Oz from memory. Every song . . . :)

I know all the lines and songs to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, lol I've seen it 177 times, lol
