I collect rocks & minerals and Babylon 5 rocks and I really like to play simcity LOL
I love Zelda. Ahhh yes that was/ is a good game. When the second one came out my eyesight was going bad I had my sis-in-law play it for me just so I could at least watch it. Maybe I will play the first one tonight. I have an hour to kill. I think I have every old game ever made.
I have lost some of my geekiness can't seem to get into gaming like I use to. Someone tell me how to get it back LOL

yeah, if I could nerd out a bit and say my favorite NES games:

Wizards & Warriors
Ducktales
Jaws
Zelda
Final Fantasy
A Boy and His Blob
Adventure Island
Bart Vs. the Space Mutants
Paperboy
Kung Fu

And 2 games I could never figure out were Shadowgate & Friday the 13th.
OMG!! Friday the 13th was such a creepy game...

HELL YEAH IT WAS. wow i had totally forgotten about that one.

Every time I see your avatar I get freaked out. In a good way, though! Is that from a movie or something? I guess it kinda matches your username?:D

Does anybody else remember the funniest game I ever saw, Caveman Games from NES? Me and my buddies would play and laugh for hours on that one, sometimes even sober!

Never played that, either! What was that one about?

Ok, I'll bite.....

I'm a geek, not a nerd, but we are related I guess.

My first computer was an Apple II. I took it apart the first day we got it. I was grounded shortly thereafter.

I wrote a book report in basic code and printed it out on the dot matrix. My teacher made me do it again because it wasn't handwritten or typed.

I played D&D when it was in book form.

I beta tested UO. There was no such thing as PK'ing in the beta test...for whatever reason no one thought of that. I was PK'ed within 5 mins of the retail release.

Etc.

I opened my own BBS when I was 12. It was on a 286 computer with a 1400 baud modem. I named it after my Rottie, Shiloh. It ran Renegade and I was queen of LORD.

I've played every release of Final Fantasy and Legend of Zelda. I'm beta testing the newest Final Fantasy MMO right now, but I've got to get a new system to fully support it. <sigh>

Right now I'm enjoying SC2, even if none of the other players believe I'm a girl.

RE: Caveman Games....

Never played that, either! What was that one about?

The guys at Gamestop says it never comes in but I can download it -- now that I have high-speed I'm going to! What I remember:

1. Footrace where you have to outrun a saber-tooth tiger, loser really loses!
2. Pole vault over a T-Rex -- short and bad things happen
3. Distance throw by spinning around like a discus thrower except you're spinning your wife by the hair
4. And the funniest, lighting a fire by rubbing 2 sticks together, the thing was you could delay your opponent by cracking him on the head and his fire would slow -- this could last a half-hour easy as we'd whack the heck out of each other!

Sometimes improvements lose the humor, too many buttons on my son's controllers! Nerds don't die, they are just technologically surpassed!
