I did feel a little goofy/defensive at first.... More like people looking with the "what the heck is that?!?" Look Because no one knew what it was, now I don't feel that way, I think within the journey the confidence comes and the WTH look leaves an opportunity for education instead of preparing to defend yourself.
I do think this has something to do with the stigma of being a smoker. We have been ostracized most of the time without the compassion of being human and substance dependant. Congrats!

This! and recruit other smokers :)

CharleyDanger: Welcome and great story. I think you've hit on an important part of the misinformation out there about e-cigs. It's something we might want to pass on to other analog smokers when they ask us what we're doing.

I'm glad your gas station was out of "smokes' and I hope to see you find the best niche for you in the "vaping-gear" world. There's much out there to choose from and some good advice in earlier posts here (and out in the rest of forum) to help you find YOUR best vape.

I use a commercial fog machine powered by an old honda generator for my setup* and it's great! I mean, it goes through about a quart of juice an hour but the vapor production is epic.

*I'm just kidding. I use a "brand-x" generator. I only said "Honda" because I wanted to be fancy.

All joking aside, welcome and congrats on your choice to be "quits".

Congrats on your success. A gas station out of cigs, I'm not sure what the odds are on that but, good deal. I think some people say they've quit and don't mention vaping because, to some people we're still "smoking". Obviously the very difference between "smoke" and "vapor" makes it not possible to still be "smoking". Personally I'm proud I've stopped a 40 plus year of over 2 packs a day. When I started I was at 24 MG nicotine and now down to 1.5 or even 0 sometimes. I feel I've come a long way and you should too. Good Luck, loads of good information here.
