Hi,
I've also been lurking here for a while , I've been back to
vaping now for a few months. In that time, I've spent a considerable amount on mods since my first go around was back when ecigs first hit the US shores and well, it was fairly miserable back then. Every year or so I would try
vaping again, and I always found myself dissatisfied till this go around.
What I own bought this time around: Sigelei Zmax, Provari V2, Innoken ITaste MVP, Ego-Twist, Smokteh Groove, and a Vamo VV (I get obsessed what can I say).
Honestly, my favorites to use are not what most here would think. My Daily drivers are my Innoken Itaste MVP, and my Vamo VV, my Zmax is my backup.
The ITaste MVP is easy to carry around in the jeans pocket, offer all day use on a single over night charge using a 2ohm cartomizer tank (boge cartos and AGR V2 tank 5ml). Vapes quite nicely at 4.8v without over heating like some can, it's metal body can take a pretty good beating too. It can also be a spare battery for your cell phone if you turn your phone off to put some juice back in it's battery.
The Vamo VV, is my "drive it home" device I use at night before bed. It easily keeps pace with the significantly more expensive Provari, and it is nice that it has multiple battery options, so I can throw a 16350 in there in short mode, and carry it easily. It's menus just make sense to me.
The ZMax I had problems where the battery connector (which is only pressure fit) would come loose, the menu system is easy to navigate, but it is a PITA to set the output off so it doesn't misfire in the pocket, although it really doesn't pocket well.
The Provari, excellent device, but I had problems where if the device was lying down would roll over to the button and fire. The using the menu on it is a pain in the you know where, and I really didn't see anything great over the Vamo or ZMax. I can see why people swear by them, but IMHO they are way over priced, and they don't really pocket well. Buy hey I was able to sell it pretty close to what I paid for it.
The Ego Twist - Went through 2 of them before giving up on that line. Worked great for the price, but where the battery connector is joined to the body of the device, it is a lot more delicate then I would like. It shifted very easily, and one of them snapped off.
Now the Groove, an absolute piece of very cheap plastic JUNK. I stood it up with a 510 3ml DCT Tank on it, it tipped over ON the desk it was standing on and broke. Didn't even last 1 day, it didn't fall to the ground, it just tipped over, landed flat like a domino, didn't hit anything. The only good which came out of the groove is I have spare parts to experiment with.
