I'd tell you that you're GOING to love it, but hey, that's already a GIMME!

We're thrilled for you!

(ya little slowpoke, you) ;)

Yea, I recon it's about time I got it.
Had to wait for some funds to free up.

LOL!!!

I love it, Kat. You talk as if we were on them when they dropped. :D:cool:

Like pretty much EVERYTHING we do, we were at least two years behind the curve. Got 'em like a week (or so) ago.

Truth. :thumb:

Oh @DPLongo22 how you underestimate my powers.

I really believe I could strip it. I'm fairly certain. anyway good to know bookmarked and thank you @corn flakes ! :)

Anna

I would never underestimate your powers, Anna. But I agree with DPL here, totally, 100%, take it to the bank...

You're dealing with high quality German stainless steel. The only possible way you could crossthread it would be if you cinched the Dicodes in a vise (tight!) and then somehow had a screwdriver with a two foot handle having 90 degree bend so you could pull on it like a worker on an oil rig. And then have amazing Hulk Rage strength also.

Stainless is hard. But a lot of mass market mods (that aren't chinese formula plastic) are made from pot metal (zinc) which is only slightly harder than talcum powder. Those mods can be cast with a mold and the zinc alloy doesn't have to be about the temperature of the surface of the sun to melt and flow. Much easier to make, doesn't destroy cutting bits, but it is soft as a maiden's - er, cheek.

OK, so there's a bit of exaggeration in some of the above paragraphs. But it's Sunday night and I need to warm up for another week of my keyboard warrior role. It's a thankless task.

:D

BTW, here's another option. Never seen one in the flesh but it's made by the company which makes the dvarw atty - which I do have and is very good quality and machining.

Dani Box battery cap – KHW mods

Just for posterity, Mini owners should not go this route (no fitsky). Nice looking cap though, if there can be such a thing.

I once saw the battery caps for the Dani on CDV, but at close to £25 each at the time, I passed.
For two reasons.
First, I only remove the cap to rotate the battery, maybe every three months.
Second, the cap is made of true stainless steel, threads are machined with less than a micron of tolerance, so there is no chance of cross-threading.

Either unintentionally or intentionally, as it is mentioned above by Geeky, if you use a coin or a regular screwdriver to secure the cap.

But you never know, I could always loose it in unlikely circumstances, and one day I will buy it as an insurance policy.

Now, I may have some spare money to enlarge the Dani family, and I can't decide if it will be a Dani, a Dani mini, or a Dani 21700.
The windows of availability became smaller as I take the time to decide, in the midst of the current pod systems "fire" purchase...
