I just watched Bishop Heals video on the Hana dna 40. I have a better understanding of how this thing works now. You set your temp control to XXX, and you still set your wattage XX. So if you set it at 40w it will run at 40w until the coil hits the temp you set it to, then it will regulate the temp of the coil somwhere below what you set it to. For some reason I thought you either set watts or temp, but not both. Makes more sense now that you set both. He did say it tastes funny like Busardo did though. He brought up a good point to check. He will test to see if you can use nickel on mesh in a gennie, and also try it with silver wire.

Interesting either way, but now it does have a appeal to me, will keep watching to see what others say.

Its a nice chip but i'm still on the fence. I don't have any information about the efficiency of the new wire type that is required vs. kanthal though i have my suspicions and besides the no wick burning its just a glorified power boost at the beginning of each hit.

From use it appears to be more efficient, certainly no less efficient. No wick burning is a HUGE thing, as is direct coil temperature control. You don't really realize how inaccurate regular vaping is until it's controlled.

The preheat function is, IMO, only appropriate in a temperature sensing mod.

afaik, D means display, even though they all have it so its a bit redundant

Thanks, I was also informed that Protovapor only uses and sells genuine Evolv boards. I guess the only difference is that Protovapors ship in a retail box vs a plastic or anti static bag. I'm finding it very difficult to prevent myself from pulling the trigger on this one. I keep thinking that I should wait until Evolv starts shipping the DNA 40 with that coating already on the board. Ah heck, pulling the trigger now..... noooooo I should wait. Shutting down my computer and going to watch some TV to get my mind off of this. Then the Vuse and Blu commercials start playing............
