These companies deserve what they get,and more. Unfortunately, we'll all have to pay for their irresponsibility.

It's really almost impossible to fake an ID these days. I'm upset that legitimate vape shops are selling to kids, it's unfortunate.
However, it is equally as easy to get a homeless person who will look elderly enough to get carded to go buy vape equipment for an enterprising minor.
This happens all the time with alcohol as well.
I do think stores known to have sold to minors should be censored honestly. I mean, given the current political climate doing that is dumb enough to require intervention. I really would love to imagine it never happens, but given the wide variety of vape shops and their "professionalism" I'm hardly shocked. . This is an action I sort of approve of in principle, except for the fact it makes vaping look really bad generally.
My son was all abuzz with the news when I brought him "I'm sick" supplies (he is sick, I sincerely hope I didn't catch it while playing Florence Nightingale. But yes, the kiddos are aware. They are probably marshalling their "next" plan as far as getting vape gear. I'd hazard a guess that most teens get gear in other ways, but that is my imagining, nothing more or less. I still think most teens aren't walking into a vape shop. I could be wrong.

Not hard to figure out why kids like the JUUL. Tiny, very little vapor = hard to get caught. 50mg = head rush. I've seen kids much younger then DonnySmokes on youtube doing a "JUUL shesh" where they are like "Oh, I'm feeling it now". The same things that attracted us to smoking is attracting kids to JUULs. It could come in black tar flavour and they would still want it.
DIY and plenty of stock backup ensures a personal supply of juice for years.
I wouldn't care if the FDA required a label in black and white type with no graphics other than the vendor's company logo and a reasonable flavor JPEG that was identifiable from 10ft away. After all, if it's behind the counter it's hard to read 10 point type from a customer's angle. If it's Cookie flavored the vendor should be able to use a Cookie graphic.

Why no juice bars (your last line) because of this? Avail is the only one I know of with one still (no eGos anymore though), and they carded me to buy a vape wipe!
I don't agree that the government has any rightful authority to restrict the labeling, but do agree that making the label legible from a distance might do the sellers more good. I do see the appeal and use of having pleasant colors and imagery, the only thing I see maybe crossing a line is imitation of other products (which is still not really "marketing" them as those products unless they're willing to sell for the same price as what they're imitating (often less than $1).

Which raises a question. How long will flavors last if you stock up. I already have to provide picture ID just to buy flavors.
Juice bars are a free sample setup. If you can't buy it, giving it away free should also be illegal. Once you let someone underage into a business most people assume that they are legal until they reach the checkout.
The whole thing brings to mind firearms. If you can't buy guns you shouldn't be able to buy ammunition.
^^-- It costs $1 to join the Avail club. Also if someone does come in and start vaping when no one's looking, it's all 0 mg now. ;( ... at any rate, that also relates to regulation, but is still a seperate item from labeling... well actually now that I think of it, Avail's juice bar is unusually attractive including labeling, but none of that's the point. No one's going to buy this stuff without knowing what it is. The only real potential problems for mistaken consumption come after the sale. Which I think are overrated (try drinking some ejuice!).
Juul isn't the only company from which the FDA is demanding information. I hope these companies ask Azim Chowdhury for help with their answers.

Interesting that these are all closed pod-mod systems. I had never heard of any of them before. Two of them have a form-factor that looks whole lot like JUUL's.
