Has anyone noticed any difference in conductivity using the stainless parts compared to the brass? I believe my shorty will be coming with ss bits but I ordered extra nuts so those may be brass. I think I recall rwechsler used brass nuts on his ss setup. Does that improve performance?

I've converted everything to SS. Some of the "heavy hitters" (folks vaping at 15-20 watts) always want the most power. I used a multi-meter on both setups (earlier post somewhere with numbers) but the difference in resistance was negligible to me (I think it was something like 0.05 ohm diff). I only vape around 9 watts so SS works just great for me.

Very much so, thanks!!!! I'll get the spacers for sure then, heck, maybe even an XStar, as the poster below, Kawboy, says theirs twist together, which would be nice. Never hurts to have more than 2 chargers anyways. :) I'll pick up the spacers for sure first though.
haha, thanks for bearing with me everyone, and trying to get through my thick skull. Loves ya all!!

This is a dangerous thread. Now I have charger envy and feel like I should get a Pila (and at least 1 of everything else cool...)

I do not think you'll feel a difference. ss is harder to break but brass is a better conductor.

One question about the wick. Do you cut on angle part of wick which is in the tank? Or just leave it straight, touching the bottom cap? I know better is to test it by myself, but I'm out of gas and today I'm too lazy to get refill :p So just for curiosity, any diffrences with cutted and straight wick?

Congrats to all the new DID owners!!!

I have another question concerning batteries. How do I charge those itty bitty 18350's in my Pila charger? It came with 2 extender thingies, which I was able to use on the 18490's, but for the life of me, I can't make the littler guys stay in place long enough to close the lid. One extender is too short, so I tried 2 in a row, and now it pops the battery out. Any tips? Thanks!
(oh, and I assume that the flat edge goes against the negative post, which leaves the pointy edge to go against the battery, and then the battery nibble goes against the positive terminal up by the flashing red lights).

Here are some photo's of my Pila charger Uma, hope this helps:

One extender will screw into the topside of the pila charger and the other you then move against it with the screw side to it's brother. Then you can put your 18350's in ;-)
And yes you can charge another size battery in the other bay.

I edited this to add more info about the other bay and I now realize that countless people have already posted help to you LOL. I guess we all think the same, Uma needs help! quick lets get our camera's and take pictures to help Uma! Then we realize that others beat us to the punch!

I ordered a mini DID to remain low key outside in certain places. The Provari (extended) + my regular DID draws a bit too much attention.
So I'm shopping for a battery that could accommodate the mini at a 1.3/1.4 ohm setup.
I saw this Vision Spinner 1300mAh Variable Volt Battery! a lot like the twist.. But they say it shoudn't be used with attys with less than 2 ohms!!
I'm looking for something that fits the size of the Mini, max capacity, VV if possible.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

On the tank end of the wick, you would want a spiral. If you cut an angle, that would act like a straw vs. a wick. You want the liquid to rise.

those ego style VV batteries are really long does it have to be VV? I bet the PrecisePlus 10440 would look good with it

Spiral, so no cutting? With thin wicks cut helps wicking, I think I must learn about fat one ;) and it must touch cap, or leave a little space?

Aha!! We can use both spacer thingies and when we do, it's brother spacer to brother spacer. The pics are great, it really helps me to see the directions. You guys and gals are so good to me!! I loves ya all. Thanks!!!!!! :)
P.S. Loved your comment in the photo album lol.

I cut mine at an angle, like Scott (Igetcha69) teaches us, and all is well. Mine tends to wick too well at times, so it's a good thing it's angled perhaps, if it slows it down instead of speeding it up. I'll try not clipping my next wick and see if there's a personal difference. (we all prep and roll differently even when we all do it the same way).

Your wick should not touch the body of the DID anywhere. Not the bottom, not the sides of the wick hole, not the cap, not the center post.

From my experience, the angle cut at the bottom of the tank really only helps to let the bubbles out of a wick with a larger center channel (e.g. 40mm x ~25mm / 3.5mm rolled - thin walled/wide wicks). I starting to mess around with the real "fatty/almost solid" 500 mesh wicks (40mm x 110mm / 3.5mm rolled - someone earlier said they were going for 170mm...) and don't see a need for the angle cut.

I do angle cut the bottom of the big channel wicks, still think the bubbles look like a lava lamp

9/9/2012 is when I ordered :) arrived the day I posted the pics. Just went through my first tank and a half. Amazing. So good Penelope definitely is getting jealous of my attention shift ;)

Hey kabonk, thanks for the reply.
no it doesn't have to be VV as long as i get at least a constant 3.7...
the 10440 looks great, but it has a 12mm diameter whereas the mini is 14mm.
I just saw the Titanide, a stylish french beautiful make. Beleive it or not, the french distributor has banned israel among all countries. Crazy stuff. Anyways, i'm still on the hunt...
