pssssst, his screws are pre-inserted. The only o-rings he handles in the video are the ones on the stem thingie, which I did indeed put on. But what about the screws themselves? Do I put them on each screw too? Oh, and I put another big 0-ring on the top part of the top where there was a groove. So now I have 1 less big 0-ring.

Ok then, watch Jims video - first page of this thread

I got it for a minute.. And then =o Er 8 on my provari.. Damn..

Your close then most likely, don't be afraid to grab your mesh wick and twist and pull up on it just a smidgen Tarkvemada, or adjust your wires a smidgen also. It sound like you have a small short somewhere and this could fix it and probably will. I don't have my DID yet but have pretty much owned every Genesis style Atty that has been made and they all have been a bit finicky. So just make a small adjustments and see if you can get it to go. If you have a metallic taste, or no taste like your vaping just flavorless you most likely have a small short, when you get it just right the flavor should pop and taste super and you will know. Also when making a new wick the cigarette or rolling paper trick work well too.

My best results on the Zenesis were with Scuba's method - pre-wrapping the coil when the wick is no inserted yet. Doing so over rolling paper and then placing it all in and connecting the leads. No mess no fuss.

Uma, I don't know what you mean by "screws". The negative connector screw and the filling screw take no O-rings. That's all the screws I know.

Dumb Question alert!!:
Ready?
Here goes:
Do I put the itty bitty o-rings on the screws too? I have the tube together, but have 3 large o-rings, and 4 tiny o-rings left over. (I put a tiny on each end of the stem thingie, like Scott said, and I put a large O-ring on the big thingie before sliding the tube over it, and I put a large o-ring over the other thingie before twisting onto the tube.)

and yes!, I'm just as dense when it comes to "furniture in a box" ....

No need for tiny 'O' rings on the screws Uma.

How you've got it set up is fine. The ones you've got left over are spares Jim provided.

Good luck with the rest of your setup.

aha!! They're spare parts! Kewl Beaners!! Thanks so much for figuring this out for me. It was so easy to put together, until I noticed all the o-rings still on the papertowel in the pie tin lol.

Off to oxidize my mesh and ... find a zigzag ... Thanks everyone! ANd Thanks Jim for the extra parts!!!!!

p.s. ElfStone: Those are the only screws that I know of too. :)

He is so thorough, like Scott! But, even he, like Scott, had pre-installed o-rings, just in different places. :) (and now I know, from the wonderful posters here, there are None on the screws).

Of interest, since Elfstone brought it up, is how Jim wraps the coil before inserting and finishing. I'm gonna try it that way, with the zigzag paper, tomorrow.

Niters all.

I made it. Now it works and the flavor is awesome.. The resistance of the atty is 1.4 ohm and I run it on 3.3V.. But the throat hit is almost none.. And quiet weak vapor production compare to the carto tank.. I use Totally wicked State express juice leftovers to try. I believe it's 80PG. I killed almost all my day off on this.. Never mind - we all learning.. Thanks for support, fellas!!!

That's only producing 7.78 watts which is prob why w
the weak vapor and throat hit, crank that sucka up to 3.7-3.8 for 9-10 watt range.

Well I got my other vape stuff in today. Cant set it down. Wish I could say the same thing for the DID. I am starting to think this Genesis stuff is just not for me. Iatty is kicking my ...., out of the box! No need to fiddle for days on end. The DID looks good though. Just not sure its worth it. Some people get them and are a duck to water. Guess I'm the exception. I am going to blame it on a short. No glow. If it does glow then its the top or second coil down. Did the oxidation's did the paper, and did the wrap to a "T". Sometimes its "okay" and others its being unscrewed and replaced with something else. I got a good glow with a 3 wrap but now with a 4 its not glowing even at 4.2V. Nothing should be this hard or frustrating IMO.
Forgot to add that I also folded the mesh and made sure its not touching the botom or sides.

You should have no problem selling it. But I would hold on to it until you get more experience. One day you will figure it out and be very glad you didn't. Maybe there is another vapor close to you who can show you how to set it up. I'm in Houston. Good luck.

Got my DIDs , BTW.. Wasted almost all wire , but finally made it. It's my second Genesis style atty.. The first is Line SS which was quiet easy to set up.. The first thing I noticed- the flavor quiet not that strong like my boge carto tanks. Is that normal?.. On both- Line and DID.. I'm getting flavor, but very delicate..

I get the same thing, the flavor is VERY faint. My Boge fusions in or out of a tank have 4 times the flavor production. For some reason every juice I try in it is slim to none excistant in flavor...but every other detail is perfect, coils....wick , etc.... I thought by reading all the reviews and hype about R.A.'s that they had more flavor production than everything and anything else. Im guessing thats not the case here. However today I am mixing up a fresh batch of a particular juice I make that has stunning flavor so we'll see if this flavor issue or the lack thereof changes. Here's hoping. On a more positive note the DiD is truly a work of Stainless Steel art in form, truly Amazing craftsmanship.

Here's what I know guys. My first two genisis last yr.- I was ready to throw them out the door. No flavor, no vapor, shorts up the wahzoo. I would fiddle with them , leave it for a couple days, go back, etc etc.

20 times I made wick and coil on just one. FINALLY I got it. The oxidizing and preparation of the wick is critical. The wrapping of the coil is critical. The size and fit of the wick is critical. Even if you think its not too tight around the wick, it probably is. You have to adjust the coils also once installed. If your top two coils is red and the rest is not, its probably the ones below the only glowing coil.

Just keep at it. Once you get it you will be glad you made the effort. If every coil is not right, your flavor and vapor will not be right.

Some people will not like to do this and genisis will not be for them. Once you understand it and do it right it will be easy from then on.
