c623cc, It's getting there... I did all the tricks in the book... Oxidized 3 times, soaked and burnt liquid off three times and so on.

To be honest, it's not half bad... And getting better by the minute. The above image is from the first coil, I recoiled and it seems I got rid of the hotspot.. Vapor (and especially flavor) is picking up. I'm vaping pure VG and I THINK I used the 325 mesh... Everything seems to be getting there :)

Here's a blast from the past. Thanks to Mr. Mann for making it easy to find. You Rock! Its now my bible

So I just dry burned on what I feel is a good wick and coil and at first I got a hotspot kinda like this at the top. However, I kept burning a few seconds at a time and tilted the tank horizontally so it is not submerged in liquid.... After it is completely dry and cool to the touch, I fire and all three light up at the same time... It must not have been a hotspot then, and just that that part of the coil was the only one not in contact with juice. Am I right?

I've also been playing with hitting the DID with no drip tip and feel that improves the TH a little. May look into getting a shorty drip tip or even just putting a carto plug in the end of the DID. I'm using longer Siam mods ones at the moment. Putting some thought into widening the airhole a tad too but wish I could try it out that way before doing it... I was expecting a much looser draw from what I had read... I tried unscrewing the head some so that some air passes through to see if I can simulate a looser draw... Doesnt really work though since the air from the bottom doesnt all pass over the coil... Hmmm.
