But the most notable on that vid is how he position the screws on the center pole. He made all three screws together putting a lot of space in between the screws and cap.

I vape vertical with mine. (paperclip wrap, 2/3 coil, 4.2 LT). And I get tons of vapor and flavor both.
The stupendous clouds are 1 in 3 hits, with the other 2 hits just good ol regular clouds. (the first hits I have to primer puff, and then it's wild crazy). I would probably achieve stupendous with every hit if I didn't hold back ad if I kept vaping on it... the stupendous is too much for my old lungs and I will not puff again for a good 5 minutes (satisfied), and start with primer puff again. I love the DID!!
Nice!!! and after it's broken in, I hope it hits the arena in every area with every juice. It's a new wrap, like you said, it might take a day or two to kick in.

NICENICENICE! I am going to love updating The Index very shortly. There has definitely been a resurgence of helpful and fresh info within the last 150+ posts! Still, as always, a great thread!
Awesome. The method I will be showing has given me absolutely zero problems so I felt it would be good to share it. Its been over 24 hours and I only had to bump the coils once in the beginning. Its pure vape bliss and for the first time I can make good clouds from 3.7v-4.0. Before the wick and coil I had was good at 4.2-4.5. So it makes a difference especially if someone has just a fixed 3.7v devise.
I've been reading up on some of this. Seems like it would work well for easy wrapping with no hot spots/shorts, but seems like cotton only lasts a couple days to a week and I don't find I need to re-coil that often. Now that that I think about it, I've never "had" to redo a DID. I've done it a bunch of times for fun or experimentation, but once setup they seem to run forever (and I typically vape 4ml-6ml/day - pretty average I think?).
Anyone know what time the DID lottery is going to happen? Today's the day <fingers crossed>!!!

I might be wrong, but the two bottom coils look pretty white, and close together. (hot spots?)
Wonderful demonstration of the important first step, cutting the mesh to size and the Jack Frost method of burning! This is great!! (and short!!)
(for those without a torch yet, I held mine over the stovetop with a pair of french fry tongs, which also works, but not as "clean" especially when you keep dropping it oops lol)

now that's impressive. you see air bubbles coming out of the wick while you're vaping it or just on the trigger and watching?
I must say I've never seen an air bubble coming out, and I thought my wicking was sorted. Maybe I never looked.
