Well well...Stay off the forums a bit and the re-buildable scene comes alive..Some of you may remember me as the beta tester of the Buzz Pro. I still have a couple of Buzz PROS in action. My Pro-Vari???? Its whereabouts remain unknown...Tomorrow a black w/blue led should be in the box..Currently I'm dripping a Joye 510 and use a Boge XL in a tank...Improvement...that's why I'm here. I've been reading and will be ordering a DID tomorrow after making a deposit.
Now I'm a heavy vaper and plan on using the Pro-Vari as my main PV. I'd like to wrap a coil that will give a resistence the Pro-Vari can live with. The kanthol supplied with the DID looks too be adequate though I certainly will be experimenting with heavier gauges. My last Pro-Vari could be sensitive at times. I'll also order up some 500 mesh as I believe it will suit my style better. I may also order the parts to set the DID up as a short DID. Simply can't wait for an improvement in my vaping experience. Does anyone see any issues with my plan?? Are there any discount codes that I should be aware of ??
Thanks in advance....Dee
Welcome Dee you will love the DID. Prepare for a few hours of a learning curve when building your first wick. Have another vaping device with you so that you can relax and take your time. 32 awg works fine as a 3/4 or 4/5 wrap and will give you 1.6 to 2 ohm coil depending on how thick your wick is. Anything 1.5 ohm + can be vaped at pretty much any voltage. Depending on your juice and your preferences you can tailor your wraps. I have settled on 30awg and a 3/4 wrap which gives me around a 1.1 to 1.3 ohm coil. I vape this at 3.4 volts on the provari but it also works wonderfully on my mechanical mods.Well well...Stay off the forums a bit and the re-buildable scene comes alive..Some of you may remember me as the beta tester of the Buzz Pro. Thanks everyone !!!
Yankeebobo again thank you!!!!
Overall you're correct about tearing down the DID to build it shorter. I'll be ordering the DID straight up and will add to my arsenal as time goes on an cash allows..
I looked at all the Genesis Style attys...Most Pro-Varis run a ZAP but there were a couple of things about it that I just don't like. Past Pro-Vari experience leads me to believe a little higher resistence will yield better results. I'm thinking the 2ohm neighborhood at around 4 volts would be stellar. 500 mesh wick should provide adequate juice flow.
Now I'm taking it Pay Pal is the accepted form of payment. I'm good with that. Does anyone know the size of the 500 mesh sold on the site??
Throw in any info that you feel I may need. I won't be ordering until after lunch here on the East Coast and I'll check back in here beforehand. Again thanks everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dee
The mesh Jim sells is 4 x 10cm. I think setting a DID up on a provari makes you expert really quick04471 said:Thanks everyone !!!

. I have no problems setting it up. that way. I do have a BAM mod that iI typically use for initial firing of the coils. It is an extremely solid working surface. PM me your address and i'll send you one ;-)

That's so sweet of you to offer! But I wouldn't feel right, because if you lose your one you will be out of luck because of not knowing where to find more. The friends DID went with me to a Beth Hart concert this evening, we both had a fab time!

Adjust the coild
On the provari just be sure to lower the voltage to 3 volts during test firing and then increase slowly. Adjust the coils when hot because they retain their memory of where they are supposed to be. Dont overoxidize your mesh.
We are all here for you if you need help.
Hi Uma...that looks like a siam mod groove drip tip

OMg!! Love her voice, her style! That is one lucky DID!!
The concert was in Paradiso in Amsterdam
Hi Uma...that looks like a siam mod groove drip tip
Sweet! I'll add it to my shopping list. Thanks!YES! That is it! It is a Siam mod Groove long tip! Thanks Abarth! And in that case Uma I think it is COV that sells them.
Dang, I can imagine! That would be extremely touching to say the least. The concert was in Paradiso in Amsterdam and that used to be a church (as you can still see in the picture with the glas-in-lead-windows) and I must say hearing her awesome gospel voice there was almost a religious experience! ;-) Me and the DID liked it very much! (and yes I did vape during the concert!)
You are very welcome, and contrary to popular belief it is perfectly normal and okay to use a different wick material in a Genesis style atomizer than stainless steel mesh. Mesh is great and I agree in these devices it works better than fiber wicks, but Fiber wicks are also extremely good in these as wellIt is all a matter of personal taste and preference
Sincerely;
Nate aka Darth Vapor
