Dee. Been awhile from the Buzz Pro days. ;) Sound as if you will be on the right track. I'm running a v.2 Provari with a 400 simi fat wick with a small center hole, with a 4/5 coil 32 kanthal on one of my DIDS. It comes in at 2.5 / 2.7 ohms and no error codes. I run my others @ 3/2 - 3/4 on my mechanical tube battery mods.

Well well...Stay off the forums a bit and the re-buildable scene comes alive..Some of you may remember me as the beta tester of the Buzz Pro. I still have a couple of Buzz PROS in action. My Pro-Vari???? Its whereabouts remain unknown...Tomorrow a black w/blue led should be in the box..Currently I'm dripping a Joye 510 and use a Boge XL in a tank...Improvement...that's why I'm here. I've been reading and will be ordering a DID tomorrow after making a deposit.

Now I'm a heavy vaper and plan on using the Pro-Vari as my main PV. I'd like to wrap a coil that will give a resistence the Pro-Vari can live with. The kanthol supplied with the DID looks too be adequate though I certainly will be experimenting with heavier gauges. My last Pro-Vari could be sensitive at times. I'll also order up some 500 mesh as I believe it will suit my style better. I may also order the parts to set the DID up as a short DID. Simply can't wait for an improvement in my vaping experience. Does anyone see any issues with my plan?? Are there any discount codes that I should be aware of ??

Thanks in advance....Dee

Welcome Dee you will love the DID. Prepare for a few hours of a learning curve when building your first wick. Have another vaping device with you so that you can relax and take your time. 32 awg works fine as a 3/4 or 4/5 wrap and will give you 1.6 to 2 ohm coil depending on how thick your wick is. Anything 1.5 ohm + can be vaped at pretty much any voltage. Depending on your juice and your preferences you can tailor your wraps. I have settled on 30awg and a 3/4 wrap which gives me around a 1.1 to 1.3 ohm coil. I vape this at 3.4 volts on the provari but it also works wonderfully on my mechanical mods.
Save yourself some money (or not) and just either buy 2 DIDs as you will never tear it down to make is from standard to shortie. I have 7 DIDs in my daily rotation and today tore 4 down for the first time to put the Pyrex tanks on them.

Oh and if you are a pluid vaped then get a special tank just for pluid as you will never get rid of the smell or taste.

Ahh. You will love the DID. And it's a nice match with provari. Various resistances work well but definitely be ready for learning curve.

It's a good plan, but you should know that some people have found the Provari to be a bit finnicky with genesis attys. You might find it easier to use the DID on a mechanical mod or your Buzz Pro, at least for breaking in a new coil.

Gemini is on sale, btw.

Thanks everyone !!!

Yankeebobo again thank you!!!!

Overall you're correct about tearing down the DID to build it shorter. I'll be ordering the DID straight up and will add to my arsenal as time goes on an cash allows..

I looked at all the Genesis Style attys...Most Pro-Varis run a ZAP but there were a couple of things about it that I just don't like. Past Pro-Vari experience leads me to believe a little higher resistence will yield better results. I'm thinking the 2ohm neighborhood at around 4 volts would be stellar. 500 mesh wick should provide adequate juice flow.

Now I'm taking it Pay Pal is the accepted form of payment. I'm good with that. Does anyone know the size of the 500 mesh sold on the site??

Throw in any info that you feel I may need. I won't be ordering until after lunch here on the East Coast and I'll check back in here beforehand. Again thanks everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dee

The mesh Jim sells is 4 x 10cm. I think setting a DID up on a provari makes you expert really quick . I have no problems setting it up. that way. I do have a BAM mod that iI typically use for initial firing of the coils. It is an extremely solid working surface.
Adjust the coild
On the provari just be sure to lower the voltage to 3 volts during test firing and then increase slowly. Adjust the coils when hot because they retain their memory of where they are supposed to be. Dont overoxidize your mesh.
We are all here for you if you need help.

Looks like the experts have chimed in for ya Dee. Yeah I use my Gemini on my Provari daily. It has a 1.6 ohm coil and it vapes phenomenally. Now you definitely have to make sure before you fill it and put the cap on that everything is running correctly and all of your coils are firing evenly. Then once you put the juice into the tank get the wick good an wet and then test fire it a few times again to make sure everything is still running smoothly. Once all this is taken care of it pretty much takes care of itself, all you gotta do is add juice as needed :D

Congrats on investing in one of these, they are an awesome Genesis.

Thanks Overall. I'm sure I'll hit a snag somewhere on this trip. A little research and a willingness to give it a try will hopefully result in the best vaping experience possible. Thanks again!! I'll be tagging along from here on out...

Darth...Thank you too...Now it's been a minute but there was a juice "Cinnamon Danish Creme" that I received the recipe for. Someone asked for the recipe and also wanted to know whom had come up with it..I told her it was Darth Vaper and the recipe was over on the Daath Calculator. Like i said it's been a minute. All I recall is being on Mrs.T's forum and kicking this recipe around...Then later on I saw it on the Daath. If indeed that was you then thanks again. The CDC remains in rotation and all whom have tried it love it...

Luckily I've got a sweet little butane torch....I've never oxidized anything intentionally....Rolling....well....ahh''....I'll be over on the tube catching 30 videos on oxidizing and such.

Again thanks...Last time I was active here re-building was in it's infancy...I thought no way would I ever be interested...That has changed.....

That's so sweet of you to offer! But I wouldn't feel right, because if you lose your one you will be out of luck because of not knowing where to find more. :( Thanks so much for the offer!
OMg!! Love her voice, her style! That is one lucky DID!!

Umm. Ill second that. I seem to be able to coil this most of the time easily now that I've figured out what the provari likes and doesn't like to see.

The concert was in Paradiso in Amsterdam and that used to be a church (as you can still see in the picture with the glas-in-lead-windows) and I must say hearing her awesome gospel voice there was almost a religious experience! ;-) Me and the DID liked it very much! (and yes I did vape during the concert!)

Hi Uma...that looks like a siam mod groove drip tip

YES! That is it! It is a Siam mod Groove long tip! Thanks Abarth! And in that case Uma I think it is COV that sells them.
Sweet! I'll add it to my shopping list. Thanks!

Dang, I can imagine! That would be extremely touching to say the least.

You are very welcome, and contrary to popular belief it is perfectly normal and okay to use a different wick material in a Genesis style atomizer than stainless steel mesh. Mesh is great and I agree in these devices it works better than fiber wicks, but Fiber wicks are also extremely good in these as well :D It is all a matter of personal taste and preference :D

Sincerely;
Nate aka Darth Vapor

I have to ask this because Im almost profesional with al kind of materials silica ,gauze ,cotton wire ,pads and similar :) about this metal sheets I dont know nothing and if I start with this Im again at the begining plus will cost me around 100€ minimally :\ for this money I can get cotton pads till my death :)

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the hole for a wick ? and if there is anything new comming up ?

:)
