Yep - I was having a pretty crap day anyway - hence the uber-vaping....
Can't tell you how miffed I was and still am - that's atties for ya though.....

I've got some atties - but they haven't got Imeo's special AFS hole - that's the problem...........
And I think either I just over-used it or it was maybe a duff one to begin with - someone was bound to get one - atties are like that, it can't be helped. I am trying to look at the bright side cos it's better that I got this problem than someone who would make a more enormous fuss, I guess;)

Now, where did I put that high-spec computer controlled laser micro-drilling machine?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Mine arrived this morning.

OMG is this thing TINY!! I am amazed at the tiny size of the Slim.

I will be working on some studio shots of it later. It is beautiful and sooooo small. Smallest PV I have ever seen.
I already want one now - when I see your pics I just know I am going to have to order one..............

Wow!!

I think I might have to though - I just blew my AFS atty (told ya I was a heavy vaper:rolleyes:).
So now, I am back to tailpiping and dripping and it's really really CRAP!!!

Wow Lisa that really does suck. I feel bad for ya. I'm sure Imeo wouldn't have a problem shooting you over another AFS atty so you could continue testing. Send him a PM.

Already done so - the issue is it costs a fair bit to make these holes in small quantities - so I think he's waiting for all feedbacks and final adjustments to the AFS before he sorts out a decent quantity.....

Very Nice photos by the way Vapn. The Slim is certainly a BEAUTIFUL little device. It certainly takles the award for sleekest, smallest, slimmest mod available. I was strongly considering purchasing one, however, I had a very, very bad experience with a 10440 battery once in a USB passthru. I could never find one that was protected(although I've heard they do exist). As long as you keep track of their voltage, they should be fine. Damn, I kinda want one now.

Yea I got 6 of them because they are not protected. I can see myself over discharging them on the go. I just went for some mega grocery shopping at a wholesale place. We have relatives coming tomorrow so time to stock up. Anyway, I took the Slim with me and one cartomizer. I used it for almost 2 hours straight and it is still going strong. I love those cartos. It is so small I was easily able to conceal it in my hand and vape while in the store and nobody even noticed... lol... This is my new on the go device FOR SURE>>> Thanks again imeo. your kind words mean a lot to me.

Yeah, that's what happened to me. This was before I had a multi-meter and was educated about these Li-ion batteries. Hell I had no idea what the difference between a protected and unprotected battery was. I had one of those cheapo Joye 510 USB PT's and unplugged it and was just using the power from the 14400. I must have seriously overdischarged it. Well, I plugged it back into a wal-wart AC/USB adapter to use and in about 10 minutes I started to smell something. It kept getting stronger and stronger until I finally realized what it was. Burning Plastic. The PT battery compartment was SO hot when i grabbed it, I burned my hand and was partially melted. The blue shrink wrap on the battery had almost completely shrunk away to nothing and was blackened. I'm certain if I would have not been there a fire would have started. Moral of the story, make sure the 14400's don't overdischarge. If you suspect they have, throw them away properly. They're cheap enough to replace.

I don't like using a battery that is under 3.5v anyway. I notice the vapor getting weak and I replace it. I always carry a spare with me for this reason. But I take your advice and will keep an eye on them for sure.
I find I can't get any vapour off any batt once it's dropped below about 3.5v so I can't see how I would discharge my batts too much............ I s'pose if they suddenly discharged once they get old........can that happen?

I am not sure if they can do that. Anything is possible.

I just got a full 8 hours from this new 18350 Unprotected battery. Nice. And it was about 3.7v when I notice a drop in vapor. I changed it and back to the Funnel clouds in here. This AFS is almost too much to handle. I will be mixing up some 18mg juice next. Running it at 24mg now and the throat hit is reckless as grimmgreen would say....
