I will tell you vapn what I did in lathe today. I made an AFS for slim
OK, I'm sold. I've been thinking about ordering the SLIM and this was the final selling point.
I told you I was addicted to GG without ever holding one. Hopefully, my GGT will be here in a week or two. next the Slim and then two AFS's-one for each.
Only problem is trying to find protected batteries. DX has had my order since 9/29 and they didn't ship until 10/29 so that's no longer an option. For the 10440, I've tried Battery Junction, Lighthound and Janty (wouldn't let me check out!! 8-o).
Does the 10440 even come in protected mode? Also, looking for 14550's but can't find the right mAh. Does it matter if the mAh is a little higher or lower?

For the 10440 the highest mAh I found is 500... I saw 600 but I think it was a missprint. For the 14500 I have some 900 mAh... Both are un-protected and I don't worry about it. When the vapor starts to drop a little I change them. I usually put them on my 5 dollar multimeter and they are usually around the 3.7v mark. Fully charged they are around 4.15-4.2v... And the charger has its protection built in so the only thing that could go wrong is over discharge. Protected batts are the safe route but not necessary if you are careful.

Not seen protected 10440s but I do have protected 900mAh 14500s here.
As Vapn said, you're fine with unprotected ones if you are careful and specially if you're talking about single usage, rather than double usage like with 6v CR2 vaping. You're pretty unlikely to over-discharge in a single battery scenario I'd say.
My 10440s are 600mAh by the way, and they do last longer than the 500mAh one Imeo sent me with my original slim.

Cappy, thanks for pointing me in the right direction or the protected 10440's. Even though they are only 360 mAh, I think I'd feel more comfortable with the protection. They are the same ones that come with the Janty stick.

Where did you find those 600 mAh batts Lisa? And how much longer are you talking?
Found them on eBay and they last about 15-20% longer (which is what you would expect if the mAh rating is true)
Battery Junction, hands down, they ship out of Connecticut. Everything I've ever ordered from them got to me in 2 days. Choose the UPS Ground option(the cheapest), they'll ship it out USPS Priority anyway(they alway's do , I guess it's cheaper). Battery Junction is the place to go for Li-ion rechargeables.

I received my GG Slim today, many thanks to Imeo for creating a great device. I'm very impressed with it, both in performance and in looks. The extra power (presumably due to the mechanical design) was instantly noticeable, more vapour, warm vapour even, and a satisfying experience overall.
It is small in size but weighty which I like.
I have used it so far with a Creator cartomizer (it fits straight on, no need for an adaptor) and a 901 atomizer - perfect with a long inhale. Looking forward to rediscovering flavours too with the extra power available.
Also thanks to Crash for the cartomizer input, I saw your video!
