Just got it today. My 2nd Reo Grand. Rob milled the catch cup down to almost flush with the 510. Also, the new Brass Rm2 with unmilled base. I couldn't be happier with the combo. Thanks Rob!!!

Maybe just a little taller would be good. Just so it hides the o-ring a bit better perhaps.

I was in a bit of a kerfuffle with that too; the catch cup shoulders could be a hair higher . .. . . most of the time. I decided to go flush on mine as well, leaving a little gap on some atty bases; but always assuring good contact!

Agreed. I think it'll depend on the atty as to what gap you'll perceive. Hard to see much of a gap with the Igo-w. I'm interested to see what the Cyclone's gonna look like on her.
Either way, there's no doubt any 510 atty'll make good contact here.
Seeing it all pretty and factory like that makes me think that this is gonna be one of those quiet, unassuming moments in REO evolution that may just super nova. (have a big effect)
$20 extra in machining all together for the combo. Which, in my opinion is an incredible bargain. Rob did say it took a little more doin' than he thought it might, so I could see him needing to charge a little more for his labor.
So....an Igo-W can be modified to be a bottom feeder? I have a brand new one I haven't touched that I was thinking of throwing up on the classies, but maybe I better hold onto it?

I so need one of these so I can rock a Reo with a Cyclone AFC or a Crown so I can play with some fun dual coil action
That looks awesome. Kudos to Rob for making evolutionary changes like this "on the fly".
My guess is some of these RDA makers / cloners, in light of this advancement, will start to produce BF versions of their existing drippers in the near future.

I think I am about a hair taller and when the o ring is compressed a bit the atty sits completely flush to the deck, but it then becomes a matter of luck that your airhole(s) line up exactly how you want it to at fully bottomed. I got lucky with my cyclone and mine when tightened fully and quite tight lines up just perfect but a slight gap may help for alignment issues in general I guess. looks awesome milled and then refinished. the slight gap may help maintain the finish there too. this and the upgraded contacts really take the reo up a few notches man, awesome awesome
