When it comes to battery life, I don't think anything holds a candle to the MVP. I know people that charge it every other day, just because they don't want to worry about the battery dying when out and about, and other people that charge theirs once a week. Part of this is due to the size of the battery pack, the other part is due to the power output. 5v max 3.5 amp max certinaly helps with battery life. Also not running low res coils really helps. I have efest and aw imr batteries that i use with my VAMO, SVD, and mechs. I use .8-1.0 ohm on my mechs, 1.7+ ohm on my SVD and vamo and easily get 1.5-2 days of battery life.
I would bet that the VTR uses the same or very similar chipset as the SVD. I would think that most 10amp safe(r) chemistry non protected batteries will work just fine. AW and Efest batteries are usually easy to find and I have been very happy with their performance.

Interesting posts and photos at Innokin's FB page. So it appears that there will be two models, one plain grey/gun metal finish and one "jungle camo" version. The latter has the intersecting lines pattern printed plus the corny text "Taste it - Love it". The plain version apparently has only the logo on one side. Clearly, the plain version is the one I would prefer to get.

Does anyone else think its kinda big? What's this new trend with inokin? their new mods are getting bigger, not smaller. I understand the size of the MVP, with the on board battery and such but this new one takes a regular 18650, I would have thought it could be smaller.
I hope no one get upset by this question but I feel I have to point out: the emperor has no clothes on!
But it does kind of look cool, like it's from the 90s!

Welp, I was fortunate enuf to actually see and hold the new VTR at ECC yesterday. There were the two models you mentioned and my preference went toward the greenish camo-ish one. It was really pretty nice!

They are HEAVY and I mean brick heavy, and as you all know, quite large. (Not 134 large, but big nevertheless.)

All in all, it was fantastic to be able to see one, up close and personal.

Nice but I like the silver version. The camo is still a good look though

It's so nice to hear from someone who has actually been able to handle the VTR–a big thank you.

By any chance did Innokin happen to say when the VTRs would be shipping?

No, they didn't mention anything, but my bad... I never asked. My only question was to whether or not they were selling them there at the convention. I'm so sorry. I haven't really been highly interested in the VTR, so I slipped up on getting any more real info for you guys. :(

You could never, ever be a BadKat! It was so sweet and thoughtful of you to take the time to share pics. I also am wondering if Innokin is even giving a shipping date yet so it may not matter that you didn't ask.

What were your thoughts on form factor and comfort when holding?

Crocky, to be honest, the weight was the forefront feature to me. It certainly was comfy in terms of hand feel, but the heaviness was off-putting to me. The form factor is wonderful. It's quite a good looking device and felt solidly built.

Hope that helps somewhat. If weight was not a factor for me (or the somewhat large size), I would prolly go for this one. Even with my little criticisms, I think this will be popular. :)

Thanks that helps. One of the reasons I did not get a t max when they came out was all the reviews about how heavy it was. I have gotten so use to the lightness of the vmod, mvp and touchwood clone, not sure i could do more weight but who knows, my curiousity may get the best of me :)
Thanks for the feedback
