New member needs advice

Hi all- I smoked for 43 years, and started vaping nearly ten years ago. Using mostly RTA's. Over that last couple years my State of Maine has had a war on vaping and getting any supplies has become very difficult. I used to order from overseas, but they stopped shipping here. I have one place that I can order disposables, but they are out of stock for weeks at a time. I just found a new site that indicated they ship to Maine, so I placed an order. I was not happy to see they added a $26 Maine Vape tax, but then said they could not ship to Maine. I used to buy at a local vape shop, but they closed when the city made it illegal to sell flavored e-juice. My only option seems to be purchasing things like Vuse at gas stations for insane prices. I'm so aggravated!
Are others in similar situations? Nothing listed on Ebay, or Facebook of course. Does anyone know of on-line sellers that will bend the rules?

Welcome to ECF, Deeplogic. I used to get pretty much all my 'hardware', except batteries, from a place in China that is closed now. Some of the hardware and all the liquid stuff came from the US but that place is closed now too. The only thing I can remember buying in the last year or so is batteries. I'm sure you'll get some replies that are actually helpful to your situation. Good luck.

Welcome to ECF, Deeplogic. I used to get pretty much all my 'hardware', except batteries, from a place in China that is closed now. Getting things Delivered to your door has become Problematic. How far is it from your door to a State that is less Vape Restrictive? Like say Pennsylvania or a Virginia?

Have you thought of moving on from disposables to an open pod system and DIY juice? The hardware can be purchased from Chinese sites, like Sourcemore and except for nicotine base, all diy ingredients can be purchase without issues. You will need to determine if nicotine can be sent to you, and if not, do you have friends or family out of state that can ship to you. @UncleJunkle has a blog that lists nicotine vendors, but I'm not sure how up to date it is. Nicotine base, being unflavored, may get by the flavor bans.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did manage to get some jugs of VG and PG, along with some nic and flavoring some time ago when all this trouble was starting, but I have yet to actually mix any of my own. Hoping it has a long shelf life. I have lots of tanks and mods, but would like some new hardware. To be honest I've gotten a more enjoyable smoke from some of these disposables than I ever got from my home builds, but they are rather expensive and pretty unreliable.
I just don't get how I can buy e-cigs and juice (at very high prices) at a local smoke shop, but can't order something on line and have it shipped to me.

I am looking at getting back into vaping and kicking cigs hopefully for good this time. I am in Northern Aroostook and hopefully can find a bit cheaper place than my local cig shop in Caribou.
