I finally got around to getting a pack of the BVC heads. I made sure I primed the coil, by dripping liquid directly into the top. So far, after ten ml, the flavor is amazing and I haven't had a dry hit yet. I had written this thing off. Now, this is my favorite fill and go.

Cool, that's what I think about. Great flavor and we'll see how long it lasts. I have a good feeling, though. No wick!! Well, What do ya know?!!!

Yes, just wanted to come back and give a prop to the Aspire for coming up with BVC. Got three coilheads a month ago, and didn't give it a try until now, because the AeroTank mega has been serving me very well. For the past 2 weeks, the Aerotank has been thru HELL as I dropped it at least 10 times (gotta give props to Kanger for this because the Aerotank actually survived, i'm pretty sure nautilus in its glass tank form cannot beat Aerotank when it comes to abuse). As the Aerotank wore off, I thought I could give nautilus another try with the new BVC, and woah, taste is much better than it did in the past, longevity is waiting for test, and the look of the Nautilus in my hand actually makes me happier than the AeroTank does. So far I'm in a really good mood tonight because I feel like I've finally slept again with my ex-gf that Ive not seen in five years ;-)

Anyway, let the time tells how this feeling will last and let's hope for the best.

Cheers!

Yea, I really love the Nautilus BVC coils, too. Last a long time and the taste is great. I just bought the Nautilus Mini, and just love it.

Well, now that I've had time to deal with these news coils, my overall opinion of the Aspire Nautilus is that it is indeed junk. My new heads are fine. This tank has major issues with flooding. I've been reading on here (and elsewhere) about how to deal with this issue.... to no avail. My Aerotank Mini doesn't have this problem. I also have an iClear X.I. that has literally had no issues at all within the last week.

How can such a highly touted tank (Nautilus) be such garbage? Using less expensive tanks (and less room for juice) has been a bright spot for me.

I have a Kanger Giant on the way. Looking forward to trying that one.

I figured that I had better update my post because I found out why my Nautilus was (what I thought) junk. The glass tank was the culprit. I bought a replacement steel tank and a replacement hollow tank, and guess what? The Aspire Nautilus performs flawlessly. So, I e-mailed AspireUSA and they said the tanks can be bad once in a while (not perfectly round). Nope, they didn't offer a replacement.

I added the BeyondVape Silo to my collection and it also performs flawlessly. I guess so since it's a Nautilus ripoff. HAHA!

Hi. I had the same problem with the BDC coils, and discovered nirvana when I switched to BVC. Sadly, I bought another tank a couple of weeks ago and didn't look to see whether the included coils were BDC or BVC. Oops! Brought it right back (where the ever patient Patrick, BM owner extraordinaire, gladly exchanged it). Lesson learned :). Just wish Aspire would ditch the icky BDCs ...

bought the nautilus after vaping the mini nautilus very happily and flavourfull on my iStick for a month, wanted a larger tank. NOTHING BUT MISERY since. mine came with the BDC coild but did not bother to put those to use and put a BVC in from a 5pack... rubber taste. washed the nautilus, cooked it in water, dried it of... rubber taste. another BVC coil.... rubber taste. washed it, cooked it, dried it... soaked the coil, dried the coil.. rubber taste.

it's a original device, as per scratch check...

i'm back to 5 refills a day on my mini nautilus.

That is so odd...
I never had any problems after switching to the BVC.
I'm assuming they're genuine coils?
Another thing I always do is to let a fresh coil sit after filling, for at least 15 minutes...then I start drawing through it, without firing.
When I start firing, I crank it way down, at first.
I try to break them in slowly.
Don't know if any of that will help...good luck.

yeah well having to wait for 15 minutes and then sucking a atty to get it to wick properly and maybe get 4 or 5 good tokes out of it #silly. i'm sorry but it is. i saw this video by some hipster reviewer chick called ruby something and she suggested the same. turn it to the tightest airdraw and suck on it till you get a few bloops... ridiculous.

THE MINI NAUTILUS HAS ZERO ISSUES.. it wicks properly and you can suck on it all day and not get dry hits PLUS PLUS PLUS it has way better airflow then the large nautilus.

... i'm not a noob i was vaping long before the hype started in fact i was vaping in the time a #VAPE looked like a methlab and you had to evaporate product with a paintstripping gun.. but thats besides the point

. i buy genuine product only, i triple check for authenticity. the coils are OK if i switch them over to the mini nautilus. no dry hits and they wick beautifully. The nautilus is genuine as well as per scratch-ID vs aspire website

Well, I only did that with a brand new coil, and then it vaped beautifully for at least a week...not 4 or 5 pulls.
But hey, I don't want to offend the super vaper.
I regret offering any attempt at help...enjoy the mini.

Did you authenticate your nautilus? I had one for months I didn't know was fake until my coils wouldn't last a day. I threw away the box when I first bought it. I decided to make sure I got an authentic one. Then once I authenticated the new one I did a side by side comparison. The holes were smaller in fake one. And the designs on the outside were different, and drip tip were different. I had unknowingly gotten two fake ones. So they are out there. I returned the one I had the box for. I threw away the other box of the fake one so couldn't return it. I don't use it though. The new authentic nautilus comes with two bvc coils and says bvc on it. And yes it is the 5ml that comes with the letters bvc on it and has two bvc's inside. l did scratch off authentication and it passed :). It's definitely not going to be returned.

As the title says, I'm a new member. Been lurking on the site now for a few years without feeling the need to post, and have been loving vaping now since 2009.

I started with the little Joyetech 510's with the recharging pack and all, made the smart move to the EGO-T (which lasted all of a week, never got any flavor out of any heads). Vision Vivi Nova, Kanger EVOD, mini nova (still going strong!) and my main vape for the last year and a half or so has been the Innokin iClear30 with an eVic. It leaks like a siv and can't be filled to max without leaking, but the taste was always great so I stuck with it. With regular cleaning, I have only used 5 heads in a year and a half with the iClear 30.

Last week, after many great reviews from the Aspire Nautilus thread, as well as PBusardo's review and head to head with the other adjustable airflow tanks, I made the jump the the Aspire Nautilus from ViperVape.com

It was great for the first day... great flavor, amazing draw and throat hit right where I wanted. Then the flavor suddenly disappeared. To remedy I tried the usual cleaning with vodka and dry burning the (not much of it!) burnt juice off... To no avail. Nothing but dry hits. No burning taste either.

I figured maybe the head went out... swapped in the second 1.8ohm head, and immediately after a few vapes it had no flavor what so ever. All day I have been trying to get flavor out of this thing, and no results. I am vaping Copper Creek's House Blend 40/60 pg/vg. I have also tried Viper Vapes' French Vanilla and Black Cherry, both of which are 70/30 pg/vg.. and still no flavor using either head. Viper Vape did not have extra heads in stock or I would have ordered more... but I sincerely doubt the heads are burnt out already after barely being used.

I have attempted to vape at 3.3v/6w, 4v/8.9w, and everywhere in between, and at every air setting.O even bumped it up to 5v/11w just to see if that did it, and nothing. I just can't get any flavor, even on the smallest airhole and trying to suck a golfball through a garden hose if you know what I mean. Have tried all the flavors I have and everything I know to include cleaning, all to no avail. Am I vaping at the wrong settings?

Help! I want to love this new tank, because it just seems like the best vape tank to come out in years.. but I just can't get any flavor. Every hit is dry as a bone.

Thanks guys,
-Leigh

I'm on the same boat with you. My setting WAS Vivi Nova 3.5 tank and Vamo V6. I then upgraded my tank into an Aspire Nautilus 5ml. It performed well first three days. then burt tastes all over. I thought it WAS the Coil already busted (because i vape a lot heavier than others 1500 vapes in three days meaning 500 puffs a day as the puff counter said.) so coil replaced, still burnt taste. to cut to the crap... i discovered that the bottom battery connection of the aspire Nautilus is leaking with e-juice. and the battery is also wet with e-juice. So i retired my Aspire Nautilus first let the bottom part dry completely, as I am doing so, I cleaned my battery connection and let it dry then slap back my Vivi Nova back for me to have something to Vape with. Now, No burnt taste all flavors back to normal. as of now, I'm trying to find a way to stop the leaking or fix thmy leaking Aspire N. 5ml. I'm also waiting how to fix it. As I prefer my Nautilus as you CAN leave it lying horizontaly and never worry it would spil unlik mmy Vivi Nova, you cannot let it lie horizontaly as the joice may leak to the drip tip. Suggestion: check if your battery 510 connection is wet with juice, then dry it and it may fix your burnt taste. Because faulty batteries has the tendency to fire without you pressing it that pre-cooks your juice and overcooks it so burnt taste will be present. hope this helps.

PS. Glad to know it's NOT JUST ME.. but CAN this problem be solved? I'm looking for help too. AND yes my Nautilus is Authentic as i checked on the Aspire site.
