David, I have to congratulate you. I was lucky enough to score a P+ 18500 off the classies earlier this week, and it came today. As the third big boy mod I've ever bought, I know now that I'll never have to buy another one again. I still might, someday, but it's no longer a requirement. This isn't a PV, it's a work of bloody art. So congratulations, you've spoiled me. And thank you for building something that feels like its worth every penny.

A question for you, though. Is there a PDF somewhere that explains what to do with the spare o-rings and washers and spare switch? I got the spare parts along with it, but I'm looking at them in much the same way a gorilla would look at a power sander. I dunno what it does, but I do not want to screw with it.

Hello all,
I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I received my shipping confirmation on my P+18650 plus two AW IMR 18650 batteries.

Now, I have a strange/newbie question. How will I know when it's time to change the batteries on my P+18650?
Currently, I have a ProVari and 2 Egos, and both PV's buttons start blinking when the battery is low.

With the P+18650:

- will vapor production gradually decrease then stop when the battery charge gets low or will it stop working instantly, prompting me to change batteries?
- is it safe to use the AW IMR 18650 in my P+ until it completely discharges, or is that bad?

Thanks for helping a newbie out.

Not an 18650, but I concur with my P+18500 and a CE2 tank. :)

If only I didn't need that gawdy adapter. :(

Looks great, but why do you need the adapter? Are you having airflow problems? If so, most feeders you can slide the tank up just a bit on the atomizer or you could slot the bottom cap of your tank easy enough, especially if it's a plastic one.

Maybe some tank manufacturers will hear this and start slotting the bottom caps of their tanks!

Not specific to the 18650, I find it pretty obvious when an AW IMR needs a change. They'll go along really well for quite some time and then go kaput quickly. It's so obvious that I don't think there's much of a chance of a normal human discharging them to a dangerous (for the battery) point.

PrecisePlus's pack a mean right hook! I don't have a schematic (i should have one) but a general rule of thumb:

P+18500 and P+ 18650 when using AW IMR's run one thick (.100) and one thin(.070) Oring and 4 washers on the switch contact.

P+18500 with AW P18500 battery, one thick Oring (.100) and one washer.

P+18650 with two Lifepo's run thin Oring (.070) and one washer.

P+18650 with an AW 2900mah run one thin Oring (.070) and one washer.

P+18650 with an AW 2600mah (recommend over the 2900mah as the 2600mah holds more voltage under load) one thick (.100) oring and one washer.

P+18350 with AW IMR 18350 run one thick (.070) Oring with one washer.

A mean right hook and a sucker punch left, haha. Good to know. What about the spare switch? What's it do, exactly? It was labeled HD switch spring, and I'm not entirely sure what the difference is. Is it a slightly looser spring mechanism? Just a spare?

Dang, almost a month on a P+ 18650? Got my first experience with a + and now I gotta have one! I have loved my S6 and P10 and P18 but the hit on the P+ is just incredible!

You were able to score a test ride of a PrecisePlus?! Lucky guy. Careful, it'll rip you a new...um...lung?!

Ok Heres the bacon...I sent out a ton of P+ 18650's today. Now the bummer, four of those orders also had IMR 18650's, which wouldn't you know it, i'm out of. Well, i sent them out anyway so you could at least hold the PrecisePlus. I set them up for AW IMR 18650, so if you are going to toot them with something else, see my above post on how to set it up!

Hope to have more IMR 18650's on monday and will get them out asap to you!

It's for the locking mechanism and makes it much harder to click the lock on and click the lock off. It has nothing to do with the switch and how hard it is to fire, that is a separate spring.

I cant imagine the lock being any harder to activate. I wonder if it was switched out before I got it?
