Hello all!

Baditude let me know about this Member specific area, and after figuring out the ECF posting restrictions, figured I'd introduce myself to all the others drunk on the ProVari Kool-aid :D

Full Disclosure: Had no idea there was any sort of "club" "elitism" or fighting amongst vapors about the worth of the ProVari until a few days ago. Throughout the course of my research on VV's everything just kept on coming back that the ProVari was the one mod to buy if you wanted a Warranty, and a well built mod. Funny as I'm a member of several other forums as well as Reddit I see this kind of infighting amongst enthusiasts all the time. IE: Mac vs PC, iPhone vs Android, Ducati vs BMW vs all other Motorcycle brands, Chevy vs Ford. I guess everyone has an opinion and drinks whatever Kool-Aid that fits their budget and taste right?

Well I must say, I'm drinking the ProVari Kool-Aid and I like it... (Uses Forrest Gump Voice): I like it A-LOT

Here's my OP in New Member Area: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/486147-just-pulled-trigger-provari.html

So I figure I'll be hanging out here with the rest of the "ProVarinati" and hope to get to know all of you better. I'm an Electronics Engineer and build/work on PC's and Mac's for a living so if anyone ever has questions or needs help with Ohm's law, Voltage, Wattage or component level questions let me know, I'm always happy to help :)

Next up: IBTanks/ProTank2

A Little Later: Pro-V/SS1/Kayfun V3.1

:vapor:

Welcome! Make yourself at home here. No arguing whether the ProVari is the best here. But I will tell you I wouldn't be caught dead on a Yamaha. Only Zukes for me. ;)

Oh, and only one important rule, you need to at least tell us what color/size ProVari you have. Pics is even better.

;) I hope you have all of the standard riding gear when on that Zuke... ya know... Shorts/Tee, Flip Flops and a Hawked KBC Helmet, right? :D

Nice try. I ain't no squid. I wear a genuine Suzuki Racing jacket and Arai Okada. Saved my life when I went down @70mph.

There's the jacket in the background. And yes, the fake CF is very controversial (typing on a MacBook btw). This is what real CF looks like. ;)

Nice Black ProV. Excellent choice for going with the Blue LED.

Good to hear, ATGATT :toast:

Unfortunately Retina MBP's don't come in Real CF so I'll get what I can take, considering it's protective as well ;)

I'm pretty sure we all know what Real CF looks like :thumb:

Thanks, I'm very happy with it :thumb:

Sars if I come off snarky and pretentious. I'm only like that in the morning. It calms down as the day goes on.

Plus 1 on the IBTanks. They are a great topper for the Beloved.

S'all good mate, guess you're one of those "Need 3 cups of coffee in the morning" kinda guys? :D

Don't worry, I know the feeling!

A little more to do with defending the honor I take in not being a squid (I HATE squids, they give Sportbikes a bad rep), but yeah, coffee fuels much of what I post in the morning.

I'm good now.

Without completely derailing the thread, I COMPLETELY agree, I give all Suzuki owners a good ribbing about it, but its all in good fun. No harm, no foul. More people buy GSXR's which is why unfortunately you usually end up seeing more asshats on them, not the bike's fault. :) All of the big 4 make good bikes, but like with the ProVari, everyone has a preference :)

For clarity, I'm not a Bandwagon gixxer follower. I got a '91 750 when I was 18. I've also owned a mid 90's SRAD and my next acquisition will be a TLR1000R.

I'm not a huge fan of the current liter bikes. I'm kind of stuck in the oversized muscle look of the early nineties.

Forgive the lack of jacket in this pic. It was right in front of my house:

Didn't mean to further derail. But was relevant to my interests.

Not a provari owner, but I'm considering hence lurking about :)
Also debating about wether to go rsst rebuild able or Ibtanked as next step on juice delivery. Thus far I've been pretty happy with performance and ease of clearos.
I wanted to weigh in and say currently I've been using evods and pro1 and pro2 (I had some vivis but I like bottom coils better) and while I like the look and ability to use drip tip on pro2, mine is crazy fiddly. Evods rank #1 here but look newbie and hold less juice, pro1 works ok but I hate metal tip on it, and pro2 looks best but I usually have to have it barely screwed on and using my thumb to hold it from wiggling while taking a drag and the vapor can be iffy.

Totally drives me nuts and I can't really carry it around because it's unreliable. YMMV, but I wouldn't suggest one to anyone.
I have a coworker who owns 2 and they are all he uses, but he seems to struggle with them pretty often as well.

 All good, didn't mean for it to come across that you were bandwagoning either, just making a statement that Suzuki has a much larger market share than the other 3 ... manufacturers. Although, you probably shouldn't say you hate Squid's then post a pic doing an Endo without a Jacket!

I really am just playing around. So please no offense! Ride safe brother! :)

Thanks for the insight on the ProTank2, good to know. I have used the EVODS and absolutely loved them on my ego's. I'm currently using a PT1 on the ProVari and I agree, not a fan of the metal drip tip that is used on it, so with that then, the next definite purchase will be a couple of IBTanks. Thanks :)

Keep in mind that you can never go back.

Also of note, despite the Blessed ProVari being the most marvelous device on the planet, it is strongly suggested you do not recommend it to new vapers unless they have expressed genuine interest. Otherwise, it is fodder for the rabid AntiProVarians and will only subject us to further abuse. Threads with titles similar to, "What's so great about a ProVari?" are not considered expressing genuine interest. There is no need to expound on the virtues of our Holy One, her gifts are legend. If a person is destined to receive a ProVari, it will happen without our encouragement. One does not "get" a ProVari, one is called.

The suggestion of non-engagement has been put forth by Sir Bernie, the Benevolent. It might be an interesting experiment to see how nasty a thread might get without us posting, opening the possibility of us reporting the thread:

"Posting something deliberately inflammatory - either to start a "flame war" or simply to cause difficulties for the Moderators." (Just one of ECF rules against such behavior)

We do not need to argue 800hz vs ≈ 33.3hz or the benefits of a US made product with a warranty, as there are literally hundreds of threads already covering such topics. Frankly, if a person is too lazy to use the Search Function, I question their worthiness to own a ProVari.

There are many mods worth standing along side the ProVari, the Reo for example, which may better fit the needs of some people - and then there are the Nimrods who will passionately argue that a cheap Chinese VW device is somehow superior to our Chosen One. Goodie, goodie for them! Let them buy a piece of junk...or 5. By demonstrating their lack of critical thinking skills, there is a strong possibility they would be unable to master a one button menu, comprehend that variable voltage and variable wattage are just different methods for arriving at the same place and that "set it and forget it" is a delusion.

Upon the Nimrods I lay a curse. May they be locked in a room with their Chinese VW mod of choice; a carto tank; a Protank (whatever version); a plain dripping atty and some sort of RBA/RDA, each filled with a different delicious juice: coffee, fruit, candy, bakery and tobacco flavors - he11, let's throw Boba' Bounty into the mix!

The curse itself is that they cannot leave the room until they have vaped and enjoyed every drop of juice, but they can only set and forget the mod once.
