I'm in the Army, My mini goes out to the field with me. I just put it in a mag pouch on my kit. I do wrap it in some camoform tape to protect it, I'm stationed in the desert and the fine sand and dust scratches the crap out of everything. I would never dream of using something as nice looking as a Bogger as my daily vape. Different tools for different jobs. I also have a special holster in the turret of my Bradley to keep it safe, stuff likes to fall out of your pockets sitting on the skinny little seats.

Ft. Irwin, eh?

I remember that place from eons ago. My infantry unit came out there from Ft. Bragg for some training where the Irwin guys played OpFor as Soviets. Mojave Desert... man, that place was like waking up inside a Clint Eastwood western. Not a tree to be found, just rocky ground, rocky hills and desert, scorpions, tarantulas and those wild looking jack rabbits. There was a unique beauty to that place, just not a great locale for digging foxholes.

Anyway, back on topic. My provari mini gets the most use followed by an ea mod. I hear you on the boggerbox, I've got one ordered with the dna20 but I bet it would gag and puke (along with me) if I dropped it on the concrete floor at work. That happened with my mini. I laid it atop my jacket on some neck high lockers and then came out of the restroom and snatched my jacket off the top and the mini went flying. It had some serious velocity going and may have even hit the cinderblock wall before it hit the floor. It didn't even break my phiniac tank, just scuffed the delrin endcap, bent the carto 510 connector crooked and broke off the ming tip at the o-ring.

Provari takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'

I try not to dig....it's not the rocks that worry me, it's the 80 years worth of UXO (unexploded ordinance).

A day spent not building coils is a day wasted if you ask me: The Perks of Being a Professor

My mechs are hiding. Girlfriend stole my roller in 18350 cause it was "cute".

At first glance I thought you had your Provari within a bath and bodyworks "bath" gift set (you know the ones with the bar of soap, hand lotion, body lotion, body spray). it is way too early in the morning I can't see straight.

My first Mod was a Provari Mini and I think it is a great device. As a backup, I bought a Sigelei ZMax mini and it is almost identical in function in every way and it even gives you the option of using constant power or voltage so it actually has more features than the Provari. A few differences are that the Sigelei for some reason has a more "airy" draw and it doesn't remember your voltage setting when you do a battery swap and it also has a Ego thread on it in addition to the 501 style (it has both).... for 60 bucks, it's an awesome device. I find I end up using it as my primary with T3's because unlike the Provari, the ZMax will accept not only 501 stuff, but Ego devices as well. Just be warned that some larger Ego devices are too large in diameter to fit into the recess on the Seigelei. I highly recommend it and have steered more than a few new vapers toward it so they don't have to spend an unreasonable dollar amount on a Provari.I love the thing, but I certainly don't believe it's worth the price they ask for them. Don't confuse this with the Smoktech ZMax. I hear they are about the same, but I have no personal experience with the SmokeTech unit.

I borrowed a Sigelei z max when my vamo went .... up and I was still working up the courage to get a Provari, It was nice, I had trouble with the menu and the resetting the volts every time I changed my batterys. Plus it's a 33 chip device, I could taste a difference but only at lower resistances below 2 ohms. Plus the buzz drove me nuts, just like it did on a vamo, again only on lower ohms. After I got my provari I was amazed at the life I was getting out of coils compared to the max (maybe to do with how the two devices deliver voltage, duno). In the end I like the fact that when I set it for 4.3 volts it fires at 4.3 volts. The provari just had better performance with 1.5 ohm coils. Is that worth the major price difference? It was to me. Plus my Provari lives in very harsh environments, I need it's ruggedness and it's warranty and customer service. If you don't need these or you really want to hang onto your higher res EVODs then the Zmax is definitely the way to go. The Zmax mini will probably be a future purchase, Id trust it a lot more than my vamo as a back up, should the unthinkable ever happen.

Currently have 3 Provaris and always will, but I also like the Greek stuff. 69, Roller, Poldiac all classics that have a place in the rotation. The Provari is your wife, the others will be your girlfriends:)

I agree with the first 2 sentences. I have to make a change to the last one. The Provari is your husband, the others will be your boy-toys:)

After the provari, i've only bought mechanicals: a nemesis and a dingo. Still, the provari is in daily rotation and gets used just as often as anything else I own. The only mod gathering dust is my Siegelei Zmax flattop. The button rattles when I pick it up (i may just have enough OCD for that to drive me nuts).

My Sig Zmax flat top is my beater rig. It can usually be found on a shooting bench or in my quiver set-up. I never put my minis or my mechs up for these tasks.

Moving forward, I was able to order a VR edition mixed Nemesis, yesterday. My provaris will be in good company.
