New Tank Idea?

So, I am not sure if this has been done before and I just indipendently came to the same conclusion, but i figured I'd throw this out there and see what you folks think.

I recently purchased my first genisis style take and have been doing alot of resarch on wicking material and methods. Alot of people seem to rave over the ceramic stuff's ease of use and vapor quality, but they are very fragile. Then this idea sparked. i'll let my crude diagram speak for itslef. This is a side cut-away view of how I imagine device would look.



So, has this been done or proven ineffective? Any feedback?

From what I can tell from your diagram, there is no wick material in your setup. Look up the Killer 705 atomizer and the AMP tank, new model ideas just released on the market. They appear to be a design like yours.

i think the ceramic puck would act as the wick, no?

what about having a ceramic post inserted inside a carto that is typically used in a cartotank setup. just replacing the inner poly with a ceramic carto..so in essence not a total new design but rather using ceramic as a wicking media in a carto.
