The temp control bit is good, cause in the manual it says to hold either + or - and Fire to get into temp mode, instead of hold + and -. Took me a while to figure that out.
Fair point. There are errors in the manual for this one but is that true of the others in the fb post. If so, then I admit I might have been harsh but to be honest at this stage anyone buying a dna40-based device particularly if it is firing at 100w or more who hasn't done even the slightest bit of research about TC is being a bit silly. Your point about the invader mini manual is well made though!!

Totally agree with you! I'm not sure if the other manuals had any errors, but to be honest I had completely forgotten there were other mods mentioned in the post by the time I was writing my response. :)

I think I've probably bought my last IMRs. LiPO is the "future" of vaping, at least for me. Higher energy density, higher discharge rate, better discharge curve and lighter weight. Innokin and Evolv are already on the bandwagon. I think I have enough IMR stuff to last me as long as my mods keep working.

2100mah has been enough to get me through a work day and some time at home, but I like having some extra cushion and I don't like having to carry around spares. For a bit when I was first rebuilding and first got the IM I was carrying extra juice, wick, building tool kit, spare battery, and charger. Lately I've just been bringing my mod, but I get a little nervous towards the end of the work day sometimes.

That being said, I probably won't be getting something new any time soon. Trying to hold back on the "could be better" purchases and waiting until something actually goes wrong.

I've got a bunch of DNA chips, 2-20s, 3-40s and 2-200s. I'm working on layouts for mods for them and want them all to be LiPo. I may even bring the balancer ports out on the 200, 3S pack, to use an external charger and get a higher charge rate. The again, maybe not because slower charging extends the life of a LiPo.

I just received a Heatvape Invader Mini V2 and the screen flashes and does not read the atomizer at all. I get low battery message on 4 different fully charged new batteries and the atomizer short message even after changing coils 3 times and trying a different tank. To top this off, my new subtank mini is now stuck on the top cap of the Invader. I would like to at least get my subtank loose from the top cap so I can send the Invader back. Has anyone else had this happen? If so how did you get it off. I could try channel lock pliers but I don't want to bugger everything up.

jeez what a PITA...sounds like they fixed the bugs in V1 and invented a whole new set for the V2.

Is the tank/cap stuck on the mod or is it free at least?!?!? I have had something like this but managed to get it off using thos silicone tank rings for grip...rubber bands might help. Else wrap some kleenex or something around the tank and ring and mybe easy it off with some pliers or grips?!?!?

Hope you get it sorted out buddy!

I wonder if I got a version 1 in Version 2 packaging. The tank is still stuck in the adjustment ring. I just woke up and decided to put it in the freezer and see if that makes the ring expand.
I think its just a lemon...your problem hasnt been reported for the V1 here at least..

the freezer will make both smaller, just depends on whether ss shrinks more than chromed brass or whatever the ring is made of. I reckon it might work!! Let us know!!

ps. does it look cross-threaded btw?? Presumably not..

Thanks, I used 2 pair of channel lock pliers, 1 to hold the base of the tank and 1 to turn the ring. I took the tank out of the freezer and put the whole tank inside of a sock before locking on the pliers so I was able to get the ring off without scratching up the tank or the ring. Yes I do think I got a V2 Lemon, I am thinking of seeing if they will exchange it for a Sigelei 75 watt or an IPV. I don't mind paying more, just worried about getting another invader and having the same issues

Your Sigelei or IPV could have the same problems. It can happen with any device, but is pretty unusual.
I thought that too. Then I started reading user reviews on 3 different sites that carry the Invader and some others having the same issue, just further away from initial purchase than mine and not that many. I am waiting to hear from Vape NW and hope they will at least replace with the same mod that works. If I can upgrade to the Sigelei or an IPV even better and yes I know they can have problems too, but at least my tank won't get stuck to the adapter ring.

Has anyone seen this problem - Take the invader and tap it firmly i=on the palm of your hand a couple of times. Mine powers off as if the batt contact is broken. This may be a feature to prevent damage when dropped but if so I havent seen it mentioned anywhere. For mine, it doesnt take much of a hit to get this to happoen. Far less than would be experienced by dropping to the ground.

ps. presumably turning off after the impact is a bit late...

I've used a dime to fix this. Just unscrew the battery cap and place a dime face against the negative side of the battery and replace the battery cap. Or use a button top battery. They sell button tops for flat top batteries too. They are magnetic and just pops on.
