Polite and politically correct are highly over rated, as is sanity.
i agree with that!!

the main reason i left it out is that the quote is (I think)
"...and since the .44 magnum is the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow your head clean off, the question is do you feel lucky? Well do you punk...?"

lol

got it firing beautifully in TC at 0.08ohms...(spec is 0.1)!! Not going to continue but just interested to see if it would...and it does!

@Croak was talking about this in the VF thread. He was saying that it allows lower resistance coils, but then also lowers the power to compensate, such as to always keep within the maximum power draw. Apparently it's what the genuine dna 40s do as well.

The maximum power draw is 16A. So at 0.1, it will fire a maximum of 25.6W which will be a draw of 16A. At 0.08 that will reduce to 20.48W such that it's still 16A.

I'm not sure what's visible on screen during this. I don't know if it shows the watts/volts it's actually firing at (16A limit) or whether it shows the watts/volts one would expect for 0.08 while actually firing the reduced 16A volts - hiding that reduction from the user.

For TC vapes I guess it's still useful despite lower power because it might allow more builds - dual coil, thicker wire etc. And that reduced power won't be for the full vape, because the nickel is only at 0.08 for the first X (milli)seconds, before the temperature has increased enough for the resistance to rise up above 0.1.

yeah. I guess it is soft limiting - never expected that from this chip!

This is just a heads up, I purchased an Invader mini from 3A Vapes and it was defective. They refuse to replace or refund the item. From the start of the purchase there were problems! The invoice was for $63.70 after coupon code, but they charged my account $67.53. Now after over charging me, they refuse to honor their warranty policies. I will never do business with these disreputable crooks again! I would recommend caution to anyone thinking of doing business with these dodgy characters.

Very sorry to hear that :( What are you going to do? Paypal Dispute / credit card chargeback?

I started a Paypal dispute. My thing is, if you post a warranty policy, stick to it! 3A Vapes does not honor their word, that makes them cheats & liars!

Did the rayon show up, Bloke?

Not as yet! :( I guess I was premature in thinking it had got out of customs. The tracking info hasn't updated since Friday when it said it "Departed London". I'm assuming this means it's now in customs, so could be any day or any week :(

I'm unfamiliar with USPS tracking so I don't know if I should expect to see further info on the tracking page before it reaches me, or whether it'll now just show up - the latter often happens once it clears customs. I'm also unsure as to whether to expect the tracking number to work on the UK postal service, Royal Mail. Sometimes international shipping tracking numbers do work - the international tracking site follows it until it reaches the UK, then the UK tracking site shows it for the last leg. Or rather, in my China experiences, the UK tracking site indicates when it's cleared customs and then it just arrives before there's any more updates.

In this case, Royal Mail show it as unknown tracking number - which could mean they've just not got it yet, but could also mean they're not going to be involved and only USPS will provide info. I'm thinking the latter actually, as they say it's an invalid number.

TLDR: could be here tomorrow, could be a week; no idea any more! :(

(And annoyingly I had a false alarm this morning -at a distance I could see there was an international package in my mail box, so I rushed out ,but it was a packet of screws I ordered on eBay, from China, some weeks ago and forgot all about!)

Sitting down, facing forward.
I got vape mail today and after some "miss fires", read the manual for instructions being an optimist, I watched the video to find out how to control the thing. I am using an ErlK clone with a tempered Ni200, 28 gauge coil, 10 wraps, .11 ohms and wicked with rayon, of course, and loaded with Cigarillos. Currently running at 450 at 35 watts. The only thing that bothers me, so far, is that the coil reads .132 ohms on my USA ohm meter and .11 on the Invader.

So far, I like the Invader. The weight is nice, to me, and the rubberized coating feels nice in my hand. I'll see how it holds up to abuse since this is now my "beater" for when I'm out working in the yard and such. Fit and finish seem fine

If I get some time to work on a Fogger V6 I'll give it a shot at lower ohms with dual coils.

Has anyone had a problem with the Invader not making contact with a battery? I'm using LG "HE2", flat tops, and one or two wouldn't power the Invader on until I did a little "pry work" on the top battery contact and raised it up just a tad. It drove me nuts when I tried to use it the first time and it wouldn't power on, thought I had a dud, then tried another battery just to check and it worked fine.

The sleep setting on this thing is a trip, I know I read about it in the thread previously but it is hard to wake up and when it does wake up it loses its settings. It also asks if it is a new coil every time at wake up as well.
