Getting sore throat is normal for some. I went through that. Shouldn't last more than a week. During that time, don't vape like if you are smoking. Take shorter drag and let it linger in your mouth. This helps reduce the direct hit to the throat. Once you recover, you can take slower and longer drag.
Also, be sure to drink lots of water.
I guess I was wrong. Took less than a week.

I like my mini protank 2 on the twist. Ive said it before and I get more and more certain of it every time I use one. Clearos taste burny. Doesn't matter what I put in them. If I load it into a glass tank. Its NOT the same. If I drip it directly on a 510 Atty. It only tastes burnt when its dry. (Little metallic from the SS mesh). But if its in a plastic clearo... Everything has a harsher tone. Ive gone through a dozen or more flavors and its the same for all of them.
I dont get the same harshness out of a protank or even carto.
My throat got a little sore for a couple days. Drink water constantly. And also know the resistance of the coil vs the voltage you're throwing at it. Hit it to hard and it will burn. If its a top coil, make sure to tip it so it can wick properly. Otherwise it will dry out and burn.

First on all congrats on your choice. Also have kanger tank with itaste and its top in my books.
I do disagree with the lady that says to quit cigs altogether. you keep smoking when you need it.You will find the more you vape the less you will smoke. You could also try a higher nicotine that worked for me. Basically we all want to feel the same effects that we get on a cigarett.

I just quit, my lady also just - quit. The transition to vaping is not immediate, but I really think it would have been a LOT harder trying to Vape AND still smoking. The technique is different. The speed of the nicotine. Vaping is foreign at first when you've been smoking a PAD + for a decade or two. It really feels broken compared to cigarettes. Then in a few days you figure it out. Calm the heck down. And your body finds a new balance.
I really, really 100% believe doing both at the same time would have made taking to vaping a lot harder. Sometimes you got to do some hard 'stuff'. Look yourself in the mirror and say, listen. You want to smoke? Well this (vaping) is your option. We're not smoking any more. Aren't you sick of feeling like crap? Yes... Yes you are. So. (Self). Adjust.
I have an unopened pack of cigarettes I bought before Christmas so I wouldn't have to run during the holiday sitting on my shelf of vaping stuff.
I don't want one. Like genuinely. This is better. Those taste like crap. If I'd have known there was something this much better out there I would have stopped smoking cigarettes back when I switched out of menthol and to lights. Those (non menthol) suck! I switched because I couldn't handle full strength without hacking junk up every morning. Dumped the menthol as well and it wasn't as bad. Then they made cigarettes 'fire safe' and smoking have me headaches for months. When I realized I could Vape menthol without cold symptoms every morning AND feel better, AND breathe. Holy _ crap! No brainer. I just had to stick out the little awkward period and then reap the benefits. Which I am, and she is.
But whatever you gotta do to quit. But for me. Mixing would have been detrimental to my appreciation to vaping because I wouldn't have been forced to adjust.

Agree totally, I wanted to change over. Its way easier than I thought, I have minor cravings but noting serious.

Yeah they all hit hard .. If you are vaping a say 24mg nic now,you will find in a mech with a RDA will blow the back or your throat out. 6mg suits me for nic but that is also subjective.
Ive already bought a few step down juices in 6-12MG to use on the mech with the serious rda's. I need more cotton candy... Neither of the two places I was already ordering from had any in stock. That's been the only bummer with my recent orders. I wanted to scoop some up so I have something light and sweet as to not blow my throat out with the new toys.
I've been trying to jump in, but do so with some caution.
I mean RAAAAWR sub ohm, cloud chasing, hash tag - call the fire department!

No way man. She's already buying pure flavoring with her juice orders... She's been mixing existing flavors too, and I need to get some PG and nic. Already have some VG. She realized right away the money is in the juice. And if we're going to save any, she's going to have to make her own. She also consumes 3-5ml a day... Where I maybe do 2. So its already on the brain. I'm more the hardware guy. I figured she could figure out mixing. But yeah. Game on.

Sounds so much better the snake oil setup I started with. After reading ECF and asking a few questions, I am pretty happy with my setup and also my DIY juice. I am itching to start RDA's now. I started with all of this being greek not even knowing what or why a drip tip was. Now, I am reading and speaking Greek! Congrats. Good setup.
I got lucky. The white cloud vendor was a transparent liar. It looked, moo'd, and smelled like bull. So I chose to watch my step and do what I do. Dig past the surface, find a forum. And learn my .... off. Bullet dodged.
That vision spinner (400mah) is tiny enough to carry the same as any cig-a-like, lasts longer, and puts out more oomph.
The VV3 is just. Nice. Its a great balance between size, cost, output, and flexibility. I definitely like it. When its worn out. It will at least double as an ohm / short checker.

Asmo -- You probabley have seen this guy,RipTrippers,on Youtube. I'm posting this for you because it's a easy way to understand how to best build those coils.

I only wrap mine 6 wraps for each coil and that will bring both close to 1.0 ohm
Shooting for .50 and you will get consistant with each build you do.
