As previously stated, read the blogs, bought the t shirt. I was asking a question to make sure I got it all. You give a lot of good info (inside and outside of your blog) but you gotta stop redirecting to your blog every other post. Sorry if that was blunt, I don't mean for it to be mean or aggressive.

I'm on my phone so forgot to multiquote. Ill be mixing for 6mg mostly. That's what I drip anyways. I'd like a good option to allow for easy mixing for 6, 12, 16 and 24mg because that's what my friends vape and it would be nice to offer them some batches if they aren't too bad.

I was thinking getting about a 60/40 or 70/30 vg/pg. Pretty arbitrary though. My buddy (who ill be experimenting with) said higher vg. I didn't care. Numbers were set ...ish. that's whyi opted for nic in 100% vg. Should I get it with less vg or what is the norm in this case?

I will generally redirect to my blog when the issue has been already covered through out the thread and the question is asked again. There are sometimes just not enough hours to go through every link and every picture to confirm a shopping list so I though it easier to just redirect you back to my blog where it's all spelled out.

I understand. And just to be clear I do appreciate the help and advice you and apologize if my comment was taken as if I was mad or upset. I do try to look into other threads and blogs before asking questions and the questions I ask are either not found or I'm just confirming so I know I'm understanding correctly so that I can help others who later have the same questions.

I think my list is solid and if no one has anything to add or change, ill be ordering Saturday day.

Thank you again for everyone's input and helping me out.

I dont want to hijack, but I found this thread very helpful as I am just starting to get supplies to DIY. I wanted to ask one question about the nic/PG. Wouldnt it be cheaper/easier to buy the 100mg/ml PG juice and just use a fraction of the amount to make, say 12mg batches? I cant see buying the same volume of 12mg/ml nicotine and spending more money in the long run.

Thanks for all the help ive found here!

PS - I read the warning about the 100mg/ml nicotine and if it helps, it appears my nicotine will come from myfreedomsmokes.com

It becomes cheaper in larger quantities and higher MG. 250 - 500mls in 60mg seems to be the sweet spot as far as savings. Many don't like handling such a high percentage of NIC because if mishandled it can be toxic. But with common sense and reasonable caution it can be handled very safely.

Ill discuss this with my buddy but I don't think hell have any problems with using a 60mg if its more of a value. Also, I assume the nic in 100% vg is a good choice since my mixes (at least for now) are looking to be 50 - 70% vg.

Another side question, I've heard less bad things from wizard labs when it comes to nic so I'm probably ordering as much as possible through them. Is there anything to look out for when buying the liquids? The number one thing I've gathered is make sure the nic is odorless, not plastic or metal smelling. Should I look out for anything else so I don't waste time and product?

WL is a very good vender. The NIC may have a slight odor and may be clear or very slightly amber in color. The stronger the MG the stronger the sent. Some have reported the sent is like turpentine others like strong tobacco. to me it smells a little like a chemical/tobacco sent. This is not a concern. There should be a slight trace to no odor when mixed down to your vaping strength. If your going to buy a lot you can freeze it NIC/PG/VG don't expand like water so bottle breakage is not an issue. Keep out enough to last you 3 - 6 months and freeze the rest. It's been determined that NIC will stay good 5 or more years (some have reported 7 years) in the freezer. The actual shelf life if frozen is not known.

Thank you for the info. Ill probably wait to freeze until my next order. For the future, how do you thaw out frozen liquid? Just leave at room temp or ...?

It doesn't freeze solid like water does. My Nic in VG gets pretty thick though. I just sit mine on the counter on a plate or bowl (just in case when warming up, it expands more than the air space I left in the bottles and a few drops leak out - I've never had that happen by the way) till it comes to room temperature. I have a liter broken up into 60ml amber glass bottles with polycone caps sitting in my freezer atm.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I use these: 60ml Amber Glass Bottle w/ Polycone Cap

Danny, what's your preference; WL or myfreedomsmokes? I got the latter link from your blog. I like how they come in glass bottles. They're cheaper than WL when you factor in the shipping, PG & VG and the discount.

Thanks

They both have good NIC but lately there have been complaints about freedomsmokes NIC taste. My last batch was a bit peppery but I like a good bite with my NIC. Most of my NIC comes from WL and There NIC seems consistant from batch to batch where freedom seems to have a problem in that area. WL is also a bit cheaper.

Two final questions:

-Danny, do you ever use a nic text kit? I found the ones they sell on ebay for $15. Seems like a smart idea, just to be safe.

-Are there any current coupons for us to use from Wizard Labs? I looked around a lot and couldnt come up with anything. Just wanted to check before I placed my order.

2 questions...

I just wanted to double check this before ordering. Does this seem like a good idea or should I get it with some pg in it?

Ill probably mix without nic to get flavors correct (i think I've read this in the forums). After I get a flavor down, should I add the nic to that batch or should I make a new batch with nic?

Again, thanks for the help I just want to be sure I'm doing things correctly the first time.

On every new bottle I open.

If your going to mix higher VG get NIC in VG. I do my test batches with NIC because NIC adds to the overall finished flavor.
