congrats and welcome. you will find lots of info and help within these pages. My 2 cents follows. I started with eg,o good stuff there. then went up to a variable volt ego. that can be confusing casue people like to toss all these fromulas at you but the down and gritty of variable vole is dial up or down the voltage till it tasts good to ya. for what to put the juice in I use 510 threaded (fits a EGO) CE4 clearomisers. I have several of them. when I find a juice I like that is what goes in that clearo so there is no washing out each time I want a differnt juice. I use model paint to mark what is in each one. they cost $5-6 each so they are cheap, easy and quick to change out just unscrew.

Good luck and come back often! it does really help to hang out and read posts.

This is the start up kit I got. eGo-C w/ Vivi Nova Tank Starter Kit (Sold Out) - MyFreedomSmokes.com The kits is currently sold out, but it sounds like by the first of next week they will be in. I enjoy the small tank and replacable coils. Easy to fill and has O-rings for the tank to the body so it does not leak. This just gives you something else to think about. Good luck with whatever you unit decide.

If you want to really jum in withe both feet. get a VAMO, CE4 clearomisers and some 24 and 18 mg juice. get a few sample packs as it does take a bit to fing that juice you can sit back with. In fact that is the hardest part of all this. I have found I like carmels so I use carmel cappichunio, Carmel apple and several differnt RY4's
I get all my stuff from LJ's Esmokes they are online.

Vaping and gadget junkie go hand in hand and us tweekers LOVE vaping because it really seems to help. I was also a very heavy smoker. If buying the Vivi Nova make absolute sure you buy the genuine Vision brand. BRB with some info.

Welcome and congrat's on your decision to do something about the smokies. I have been smoke free 12-13 days....can't see my banner. My son came over and tried my Ego C and fell in love....my wife has been poking her nose into it and has been smoke free for today. It's been a wild ride, actually pretty easy. When you step up from the Blu's you are going to amazed on the results. Vape on

100 mah= 1 hour normal vaping before requiring recharge. Understand if you are using a higher voltage via a variable voltage PV the batteries will drain quicker. So a 1100 mah battery will last approx. 10 hrs before needing recharge. Disposable batts are good for 250- 300 recharges. Most of of prefer manual push button batteries because it put us in control of the vape. Auto batts have an auto shut off feature and also because the batts have air holes are more susceptible to damage from juice.
Threading
There are mainly 2 types of threadings- less common 808 and most common 510- depending on the threaded PV you choose you have to use matching accessories.

Different PVs
eGo Class/ Style- 510 threading. Manual Batteries:
JoyTech eGo fires @ 3.3 volts, SmokTech eGo fires @ 3.7 volts and the Riva/ Kgo fires @ 3.7 volts- come in 650, 900 or 1100 mah depending on the manufacturer- most popular 510 threading/ connection and are manual. I own a Kgo and I LOVE it. Have used the JoyTech eGo and prefer the Kgo because of the higher voltage.
JT eGo Starter Kit cost anywhere from $50- $80.
Riva/ Kgo starter kit costs about $40-$50

Kgo Review

Mini Variable Volt PV: 510 threading/ connection. Manual Batteries.

Twist comes in 650, 900 and 1000 mah. Dial very narrow/ smooth and not easy to turn. Voltage numbers very hard to read/ invisible. Button occasionally sticks.

Vision Spinner comes in 400, 650, 900, 1100 and 1300 mah. Wide knurled voltage dial easy to turn and easy to read voltage markings. 1300 mah Spinner is the same size as 1000 Twist.
Both variable voltage PVs above fire from 3.3-4.8 volts.
I owned the Twists and now use them as backups because the dial was hard to turn and I could not clearly see the voltage markings.
1300 Vision Spinner- 113mm or ~4.4 inches long; 16MM WIDE, 2MM WIDER THAN A STANDARD EGO
1100 Vision Spinner- 119mm or ~4.75 inches long
1000 Twist- Length 120mm(4.75")/Diameter 14mm

Advantage of the VV- when stressed and need a stronger hit I can easily and quickly dial up the voltage.

Above and beyond the above "disposable" batteries are VV/ variable voltage Mods. Batts are separate from the tube and very inexpensive. The Mods also have a wider range of voltage. They are much larger than the above PVs BUT batteries can have 2200+ mah.
If going this route the Vamo receives high praise and can also be "broken down" into a smaller PV.- about 80 for a full kit.

Will post more reviews for the Spinner and Vamo- if anything it will give you an idea of the size.

Lastly delivery Devices- holds and vaporizes juice:

Atomizer/ Atty- an element on to which 3-4 drops of juice is dripped- usually used for testing new juices because Attys are easy to clean. There are some diehard Atty users because it’s the best vape possible but very time consuming.

Cartridge/ Cart- a container with sponge (filled with juice) that is used with the Atty- juice drips on to Atty from filled cart and is vaporized- older outdated first “tank” system and prone to leaks unless the user is willing to buy extra seals and “fiddle” with them.

Cartomizer/ Carto- metal tube with stuffing and element. Holds anywhere form 1- 4 ml of juice. Carto is fully saturated and must be occasionally refilled when juice runs out. My Cartos last 1-2 weeks. Best Cartomizer I’ve found is the Smok Tech XL 1.7 single coil. Boge 2.0 ohm cartos will give a cooler vape. Always use single coil cartos with 3.3- 3.7 PVs for the best vape.

Carto+Tank- a Carto with a hole punched in it. Carto is than placed in a glass, metal or plastic tank which is filled with juice- juice saturates Carto by way of hole in Carto. My Cartos with a tank last, before tight draw occurs: light juices- 80-90 ml. dark juices- 50-60 ml.

Clearomizer (includes the Stardust and the Vision Vivi Nova Tank)- a plastic or metal tank with a wick and element. Contains NO stuffing. The rebuildable clearos come with heads (coil+ wick) that can be cheaply ($2.00) and easily (10 secs) replaced. When the head burns out simply unscrew the old head out and screw in new head- takes 10 secs. My Vivi Nova heads are lasting about 10 weeks BUT I wash the heads every few days. I've found the Vivi Nova to give the best draw. Realize some acidic juices will damage plastic. In that case a metal sleeve can be used.
Best of Luck.

And this is it...

Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 15%- could be higher or lower depending on the flavor used.
PG enhances flavor, TH/ throat hit and lung hit- water like- many of us believe it to believe it to be a throat irritant
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG.
Understand a few people are sensitive to PG and/ or certain flavorings. Vaping is extremely dehydrating. I drink 2+ liters water per day. Both PG and VG are hydroscopic / humectants- they trap the moisture in our mouth, throat and nasal areas and thus the vapor

Finding the Right Juice

Best to buy samples to find your likes and dislikes. When I first began vaping I bought 30 wide ranging samples. Out of those 30 I liked 10. Immediately ordered another 20 and out of those I liked 10…so out 50 different flavors I enjoyed 20. Months later I tried those 30 samples that I disliked and enjoyed all but one. Whether it was because my tastes had changed or they needed steeping I don’t know. Realize also "same name" juices will vary greatly in taste from vendor to vendor as they all have diff recipes and order ingredients from diff Suppliers.

And lastly possibly the best advice
It’s a good idea to purchase from ECF listed/ verified Vendors as they operate within ECF under a strict code of ethics and business practice. There is also the opportunity to contact the Company Rep via the Vendors Forum at ECF if there are issues.
